A perfect example of how to maximize points (miles) value through Capital One is when I transferred 70k miles to British Airways Avios to score a Qatar Airways business class flight in Qsuites. With the $106 taxes and fees subtracted from the 70k on a $9,200.35 flight had I booked it in cash (yeah right🤣🤣🤣), I got what amounted to over 13 cents a point for basically a free flight in the world's best business class flight.
@DailyDrop you're right, it was hard. Took a couple of weeks of relentless searching through various partner airline sites to land this sweet deal. Could've went direct through the QA website but they wanted 140k plus an additional fee so this was a case where patience paid off👍
@touche22 I started with American Airlines and searched 'award flights', didn't like the price tag in points (140k), then went to British Airways and found the flight I wanted so I transferred thr points from Chase and converted them to Avios. Then booked the flight on the BA website.
This is great! Just used my points for the first time and booked a $500 room completely for free. Could have booked for 36,000 points through chase travel but used the transfer partner hack and booked the exact same room through world of hyatt for 18,000 points! LOVE THESE!
I am in the market for a good travel card, and this video explains super clearly the benefits! I loved it. Followed and liked , you saved me hours of trying to decipher what to get . Thank you Daily Drop!
to keep a card alive you really only need to use it every 6 months. Then all you have to do is pump gas for 1$ each on 20 cards. Go after the points are rewards you want
Well, I mean if you have the money to keep the credit cards, the proper budget and understand how to take advantage of the cards benefits, at least spend once every 3-6 months on your cards and don’t mind juggling all the credit cards every quarter of the year then go for it.
Another pro tip is starting off with the saver one and then four or five months later getting the regular venture card because you can always product change your venture card up to the venture X. And it's much easier to be approved for the Capital One venture card
Just returned yesterday and we hit 2 lounges at JFK, one lounge at TLV, one lounge in Rome, and used our one time a year free visit at Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston which was amazing. The Venture X card paid for it self on this trip alone. I looked into getting the Sapphire Chase card to get their lounge access but too rich for my blood. I need to learn about travel partners and transferring points so I can travel better for less. Thanks for the video and We also got SW travel companion thanks to Daily Drop too!
Thanks so much for sharing! We love hearing from our viewers about their experiences. Awesome to hear you were able to get into some lounges & the Southwest Companion Pass is an amazing benefit to have!
I live in Cleveland and just booked a round trip ticket to Hawaii on United (seat choice included) for 20,000 points ($200) using Turkish Airlines transfer points lol
I have venture x but i dont like their travel partners😂 if you frequently to asia, its a no no.. most flights are 20hrs+ when delta and other partners (bc they dont flight through europe) is less than 12hrs..
I gotta say getting better than 1 cpp these days is getting pretty hard on domestic travel. I've tried to look months in advance and awards seats just aren't available. So I've just been using points to cover flights 1 to 1. Hope to find one of these crazy deals one day though.
If you were forced to use the travel portal this card be the best thing ever Rather book direct then 3rd party not risking issues then they tell me to talk to capital one
Hey man loved the video! I'm trying to book a trip to England for this December that'll probably encompass 3 weeks of flying, hotel stays, train rides, dining out, etc all the fun travel stuff, which is why it's the perfect time for me to get my first travel credit card. The normal sign-on bonus is 75k bonus miles if you spend $4k within 3 months of getting the card. Conveniently, my mother got mailed an offer with a reservation number and access code that I could use to get an offer of 90k bonus miles if I spend $6k within the first 6 months. Which offer is better? Doing the math (if I did it correctly), the normal offer gives me 18.75 miles per dollar. My mom's offer gives me 15 miles per dollar, but I get a bigger window of time. I think I can easily clear $4k on this trip for December though. Based on the math, the 90k miles offer isn't as good as it seems compared to the 75k miles offer since you have to spend $6k instead of $4k for not that many extra bonus miles. What are your thoughts? Would really appreciate it!
I recently hit 100,000 points on the venture x! I am also wondering if I were to go from WAS-ATL what would be the best redemption with either chase Or Capitol one?
What's the best use of capital one portal for getting 300$ credit? Seems like they inflate the price. It sounds like a hassle to call and get adjusted or if there is an issue/ cancelation and you can't call the hotel/airline directly. Thoughts?
When trying to see if I was preapproved for this card I was told that I wasn’t because “there are too many revolving accounts". Should I close my unused credit cards?
It all depends. We usually check both on Capital One’s portal and elsewhere to make sure that we are getting the best deal possible, especially if we book using cash.
Hi, I have a quick question. I currently live in Turkey, but I previously resided in the USA and had a bank account with Northfolk Bank, which has since closed. I have a SSN and plan to start selling on eBay, so I need a checking account. Can I open one online?
When you order the card you can register it for the priority pass Which is either a lounge access or some discount at a place Eg at Indianapolis you can get $58 removed from your bar ticket which is huge
@@undolf4097 The priority pass restaurant credit benefit has already removed from the standard Venture X and for the business Venture X the benefit is no longer available for new applicants. Priority pass lounge access remains unchanged.
We have some great reviews on our website & on this channel that can assist you with making this decision for yourself! Check them out here: www.dailydrop.com.
Love my Venture X card with the $300 travel credit and PP access! The transfer partners aren't my favorite but I'll have to plan a trip where I can use one of those airlines.
🧐 Why is it starting to seem like EVERY week y'all are doing credit card infomercials? 🤨 Y'all have lost your way. Went from a travel hack channel to being EXCLUSIVELY credit card shills. smh
You normally can't travel hack without having a travel credit card (which is half of what this channel and their website is about) and they're providing valuable information for which cards are the best to consider. If you're looking for just the travel part of the experience, you're better off just watching Kara and Nate's channel.
I would highly recommend to stay away from this card. I've had it for 2 years. The benefits are okay. But if you run into any travel issues, duplicate or unauthorized charges, their customer service is the WORST. I had been with BoA and Chase for 15+ years and never had issues. I'll be downgrading to a free card before my annual is due so it doesn't affect my credit score. Not worth it at all!

Amazing 👏 Qsuites can have great redemption values, but sometimes is hard to find award availability on so that is awesome!

Woohoo 🎉 So awesome to hear! Where are you headed to?
@@DailyDrop Just a quick wedding weekend in West Palm Beach Florida
Can you share how you did this?
Since when does C1 has Hyatt as transfer partner? 😮
Great overview!! I'm also really happy with my venture x. Thanks!

We did 8 in Peru. My wife & best friend are authorized users and we maxed out with other travel buddies!
Amazing 👏
Any chance of doing a video on how to manage 20+ CCs? Like do you rotate their usage through out the year to keep them all alive?

I just buy a $1 Amazon reload every few months. My cards are all saved to my Amazon account.
Max Rewards premium is 100% worth it with that many cards
Always love your videos! Super informative and interesting. 👍👍
We are so glad! 🤗

I'll consider it IF they finally open their lounge at LAS, they got rejected for some reason last time.
That is fair! Hopefully they will soon 🤞
I hope so too because that is my home airport. Heard it isn't opening any time soon, though. Some time in 2025 at the earliest 😒

They don’t, they actually pay u if you find a cheaper price. I found a hotel $6 cheaper and they refunded me 50$ credit for my troubles lol
Venture X is too op
Great cost annual fee, and good competitive benefits and perks.
When trying to see if I was preapproved for this card I was told that I wasn’t because “there are too many revolving accounts". Should I close my unused credit cards?
I say no. Just don’t get any cards for now and let the hard pulls fall through then apply again once’s a couple fall out.
Wait until your credit reports havd 1 inquiry or less

You should just say its your favorite because of the referrals 😂.
I actually use this card almost every day for purchases, so it is definitely at the top of my list!
Am i able to product change from 95 dollars venture to venture X?
Do you know if each card holder gets the global entry credit?
If you mean an authorized user, then I believe it only applies to the main cardholder. Hope this helps!
MCO carpet made me book it :)
I prefer the US Bank Reserve credit card
Having only 3 lounges, that's pretty much a nonsense benefit unless you live in one of the three cities...
Wrong. They are partnered with Priority Pass, so there are 1590+ lounges. I've used over 15+ lounges in numerous countries
Very jealous as an European. We don't have banks that offer CC with a point system like you do 😞

If Capital One had more domestic transfer partners it’d be a much better credit card than what it currently is.
