Many thanks go out to #ASRock for their massive contribution to my AMD Ryzen 7000 reviews and comparisons! 🤗🤩 Do you like ASRock's AM5 motherboard lineup? 😅 Which is your favorite, and which chipset would you personally pick for YOUR needs? 🤔🤔🤔
Leaning towards x670e taichi or the pro rs ...both seem great! Amazing video..super helpful and clearly laid out. If you could do this for other x670 brands as well that would be awesome! Subscribed!
I just purchased an Asus ROG Strix B650-A. I really want a B650E-F but it's not available on my country. Come to think of it, mostly the difference of B650E and B650 are those PCIE5 support. My Asus ROG B650-A only has support for pcie5 on the most top SSD slot. There is no PCIE gen5 GPU right now even the RTX 4090 only support pcie4 and even if there is a GPU that support gen5, I think there's not much difference in performance. PCIE gen 4 SSDs are still expensive and, in my case, mostly I will not purchase gen5 SSDs surely, they will be expensive. Just my 2 cents.
unfortunatelly most of them have a poor audio quality (Realtek ALC897), only from 300$ ASRock X670E Steel Legend you can get a decent Realtek ALC1220. I don't need extra pcie lanes, but should i pay 300$ for decent audio? mmm don't know. It's not fair
Great to see you Nicolas, going into such depth with B650 chipset here as despite the limited release so far of the boards, not much is being shown or discussed by reviewers. I have used B450, X470 and X570 chipsets before in my builds, however going forward for my next build I will look at the B#50 chipset as AMD is looking to heavily segment their chipset in terms of I/O going forward 🥺😔, also their pricing. DDR5 is still a bit pricey, u der delivers in terms of performance currently as well as PCI-E 5 drives not bring available till 2023, very expensive and harder to cool makes these new tech’s irrelevant at this point in time. This conjunction of numerous tech advances, high pricing etc is a bad storm of events for any tech releases for any company imo.
Thank you very much for your comment, Michael! :) Indeed, pricing is really steep nowadays. And unfortunately, it seems, that isn't just the case with the AM5 platform, but Z790 boards will probably end up with high prices, too. :( While the changes in the industry are exciting from a technical standpoint, I don't like where we're heading in terms of pricing and price-to-performance ratio. Thanks for your feedback. Greatly appreciated. :)
B650 is enough, there are no pci express 5 graphics cards and no NVMEs either and by the time a pci express 4 is obsolete you want will a whole new rig.
As long as you have the AM4 brackets then yeah. Then most all AM5 Mobos will allow it. This was stated out a few weeks ago. You might want to think about going with an AIO for cooling though. I currently use a Noc-D15 but it may not be enough for the new Chips. Good Luck.

Thank you! I have to agree with the previews commenter "Hal Richard". If you have to right brackets, it should be compatible, but it's advisable to go for more powerful cooling with these Ryzen 7000 CPUs. However, I will also conduct undervolting tests, etc. to see whether or not temperatures and power draw can be lowered without or hardly any performance loss. :) If it can be done, you should be good to go with your NH-D15 from a performance standpoint.
help. my b650e tuf 7700k is slower than my 9900k! all gpu bench is 10% less. the cpu is working perfectly. all bench are fine much faster. but any graphics score 10% less. 100% load but still less fps...of course brand new win install new drivers etc? any ideas. is the motherboard gimping my gpu? so confused

I think the B650 Taichi is pretty awesome but the price could soften up a bit.

I am going to get the B650 PRO RS and build my 7600X system in a white Focus G case
Thank you! no one else is even talking about b650
You're welcome, and thanks a lot for watching! :)

The board I see missing is the ASRock B650E Taichi. You can get the 24+2+1 VRM @105amps. Current pricing $499. So there you go, all complete now.
is it worth paying that extra though?. the asus x670e strix -F is cheaper.
@@djam7484 no It never is. Just get the features you want at a price you want and don’t worry about it too much
I got one for $369.99 by price matching Newegg.

@@Nicolas11x12English I am from Russia and I completely agree with your opinion!
Love the silver / black color scheme..
Me too!
I'd love to see an overview of the Asrock B650M PG Riptide, non-wifi. Maybe Asrock will see this comment and send you one for a full test and review.
Very informative video! It helped me a lot in my motherboard selection. Really appreciate your effort, well done!
Spending time on power delivery is a waste when all of them can power any processor overclocked arbitrarily high using only 1x EPS 8-pin connector
The lowest price is the right one for me!😊

also quite a few 650 board do have pci express 5 on one nvme for when they come out
Great video! Would this specific ASRock B650E Steel Legend be fully compatible with a Noctua NH-D15 CPU cooler?

ugh. I still use 5 +1 speaker set up that is not optical.. not everyone wants to wear headphones for hours..
I avoid any motherboard with intel i225 lan, way to many issues with the NIC, killer lan is also a huge no no.

Check your memory is running at the correct speed and your cpu temps.
meanwhile i see the ASUS Prime B650-PLUS AMD B650(Ryzen 7000) at $200 in stock on amazon...
In my country Asus B650 Prime non wifi is cheapest than cheapest Asrock.

Why no B650E PG-ITX?
