Ok so I finally had a chance to play with Sub/Khameleon and she’s fascinating and absolutely incredible. I’m having MKX fun. Kicking ass in Kombat league too. I hope the next kameos have variations as well, maybe even the current launch kameos.
I've been watching your channel a lot more. Great video! I hit the like button. I've been playing since Sept. 14th. For everyone who thinks MK1 is trash. The same amount of players think it's amazing. Yes, it needs some major updates, but I really enjoy this whole product. Moral of the story! Don't lose hope!!!

It really sucks that so far we’ve been seeing a single KAMEO take the spotlight for like a month before being nerfed or replaced with someone else. They need to balance the Kameos so that we see people using a VARIETY of Kameos online. Either that or add a no kameo mode.
@@AwesomeBRINKS Nauseating as a good thing. Full screen meterless combos. No meter for combo extensions with the tentacle grab. At any point you can use fan lift to rush in and start up close pressure. (Not how I play him but I've seen others play him as such). It's crazy.
She’s way more fun and has more utility than Tremor.. Tremor has 3 variations too and only One of the moves out all of them is actually useful. Khameleon is a 7.5/10
I feel like it more the fact that she has 3 different ambush moves which are all useful, and the meter comes back fast too unlike tremor who's gone for like 10sec if you use the ambush into any of his moves. If Tremor's ambush only use half the kameo meter he'd be much more of a problem.
Tremor is held back by his meter economy but I'd argue he's still the better kameo because he's fully under your control whereas Khameleon forces to be creative on the fly which is a double edged sword. Khameleon will be picked more because she has more opportunities but should tremor get his meter looked at he'll be the better kameo
so far from the truth, I have SO much tech with tremor. He has so much to offer, you need to get in the lab more if you really feel this way. he gives health, can body block, allows unsafe moves to be safe, allows low pop ups to become full combos, allows mix, allows hard to blockables, has great combo potential, projectiles, space control, armor and projectile reflect. He just takes time but rewards you if you put that time in!
I’m really enjoying khameleon with Reptile gives reptile a fast overhead launcher that he doesn’t have, gives him safety with kitana and the motaro combos with her as well and when reptile struggles against a zoner or to get in on your opponent you have Jade to help you out along side the plus frames with her as well so I feel like khameleon does quite a lot for reptile
I messed around with her for a sec last night and I think I'm gonna use her with Sub. I really like that she cycles through her different forms, makes it interesting.
I just need them to fix their connections errors i played 1 game and it crashed out on me now when i start up mk i get an error thats says something is wrong with the game or app then shuts right off had to end up buying a new playstation bcux sony doesnt know whats wrong with it
Hey Tom, loving your content. The controversy around this game is really interesting. It's very strange that khameleon, so far, is a universal utility assist with every character, for extra cost. Either NRS dose not care about actual balance or are mentally ill equipped to understand balancing. I still don't understand how certain assist characters really only go with certain roster characters.
Not good enough to save the game. Honestly, who gets excited for Kameo releases? Wouldn't it make more sense to release the Kameo with a main roster character?

Cameo's are actually really important. Knowing how to use a cameo correctly with your character can save you the match. People who know how important and useful the cameos are do excited about them. Plus, it makes sense from a marketting standpoint. Releasing it this way insures that they are always releasing something.

Because everyone that used him could still do that play style with other kameos so what was the point of the nerf? Piss poor balance decisions and let’s not forget that they cause the desync issues themselves. How? Remember in the quan chi patch they also added intro dialogue to the towers in invasions and invasions fights? This is causing the desync issues because in the PC port they recognized this was the issue so they removed it and now PC is fine. They had plans for console to be fixed with the addition of chameleon patch but nope… why did they wait until late January only to have the issue still unresolved? This is why people are upset.
Tom, honestly. Why does SubZero feel like I'm controlling somebody's grandfather when compared to the rest of the cast? It's always an uphill battle to do anything with this guy relative to the rest of the cast
I think Khameleon needs to be the standard for all Kameos. Obviously Stryker and Lao are still good but the rest need to be brought up to Khameleons strength and utility. If they gotta make several Kameo moves Ambush then so be it, but they need to have fast regen like Stryker. If they opened the gates and took these ridiculous safeguards out MK1 would be phenomenal. People are very happy with Khameleon because of how many characters she opens up possibilities and strong tech. But a day before her release everyone said MK1 was dead. I say do you want the game to be fun, or do you want it to be dead? If you want it dead nerf or don't buff anything. If you want it to thrive and constantly be fun with new tech every week: Buff kameos to Khameleon strength and give lower tiers base character buffs like closing 12/21 gap of Sub Zero, making his B2 actually unreactable or F1 at 12f startup, something for him but wouldn't need much if Kameos was buffed. But several characters need to be buffed so they aren't shit without very specific kameos. Many low tiers don't fully synergize with strong kameos. All characters need to be strong alone and get boosted by Kameos. It would be nice if any character could use any kameo and have the gameplay strategy they want and not have to only use one Kameo. That's what is stale. Only way to fix this is buffs Khameleon is a really good addition to MK1

With the bad netcode, Khameleon is going to be a nightmare for many of us that get stuck in those slideshow matches where frames dip more than a fat kids hand in a cookie jar or where your opponent becomes a better magician at teleporting than Cris Angel😢
Bro sub have 40% combos with all khameleon 3 variations with mad corner carry into multi 50 50 scenarios. Also because sub optimal combos or so long u can end a hit confirm from jade n kitana into melena who give sub a variety of unreactable mix-ups. She gives katana n jade 18-23% back throw combos that have mad corner carry into oki, gives melena forward throw is a +31 restand that allow sub to dash up n do unreactable mix-ups, n she allows u to switch to the next kameo variation after any forward throw. Although khameleon auto switches her variations ur still controlling ur next mix-up after any kameo hit confirm. She by far is sub best kameo now n probably 1 of the best synergies in game. As a person who thought sub was bottom 1 before khameleon, she definitely puts him into the mid tier range. Definitely still think sub needs frame buffs to his mid, iceball, n klone recovery to make him a more complete character. This kameo is definitely a sub buff
Remove her Auto Change Cycle and she'll be Fine. She's Unreliable when it matters. If she's Too Op Without her Gimmick then Change some Damage Outputs. Not having Full Control in a Fighting Game is just too Risky. She Doesn't NEED the Auto Change Cycle Gimmick because she Had it in the Past. Other Kameos & Characters have Changed, Why can't she? Anyway, once the Over Hype for her Dies, she'll be as Niche as Shujinko.

She's one of those cameos that can benefit everyone but will actually take skill to use. She won't be like sereana who benefits everyone but is braindead easy. I just stopped using Sereana, so no hate LOL.

This is the first game that I truly played and tried to learn each character, so I don't really know anything about MK11 Scorpion game play wise except the fact that he had his spear and teleport like always. I like his move set in this game, he is just hard to open someone up with and is pretty unsafe which is very annoying when you want to use him.
I think if it was just the Mileena part of the kameo, I would run this on sub permanently. Having the low combo option with the sai ambush, and having f123 or f12 khameleon overhead both combo are worth it alone, but the glaive shenanigans also work for him as well. I think kitana is the weakest part of it for sub zero even though it still gives him some utility, not having control of what kameo move is coming out is a big L to khameleon. Lao, goro still probably better. I am gonna be running khameleon over sareena from now on though.
Whatever the reasoning may be the state of this game is truly disappointing because it's a fun game to me. I always say this but it's the most fun I've had since MK9. Didn't like the injustice style committed dash/stanima bar that governed movement in mkx and mk11 was cool but super watered-down and slow. The real problem is the incomplete kameos or characters. I think the only way to save this game is to add more content to keep people playing and to make each kameo provide a unique advantage, excell greatly at a specific tactic. We just need to see a wider variety of kameos and unique setups.
Same, idc what broken shit she gives. Everyone jumping on the "metà wagon" again (literally tier wh0r3s) with khameleon (making 50/60% dmg) which is embarassing. Never cared for her as a character and never cared for her S+++++ tier. Sub/Sareena is the one I'll keep using till next MK will drop.

No kameo that switches between three styles so fast can have any synergy with any character.This is just sareena 2.0 for lost chars like sub and will not see tourney play.
So fast? you can literally do a full combo before it even switches, can switch mid combo no matter the form and convert while also controlling when you change. Have you not seen how strong the pros are placing her already?! She has amazing synergy with most of the cast and gives everyone high dmg, safe specials and reduced dmg, like come on what?!?1

I have to disagree here, people complained about those moves because everyone else in the games move set sucked. This game is more open so it’s welcomed, plenty of tools to counter each other. MK11 is handcuffs for every character times about 100.
@@Timeforceletsgoright this provides some additional utility. Also it wasn’t Jacqui’s jump, it was that the jump led to big unbreakable damage. And it had those cancel shenanigans. Also you can’t spam Khameleon because of her cycle. And airgas Kabal just got to OS jump kick nomad dash with no consequence the entire match.
God tier until its all everyone uses in KL , then we will get the nerf into the dirt and everyone will cry and curse NRS , rinse repeat. Happy using Frost and Shujinko. The only additional money they are getting out of me is Homelander. Only got the game for Omni Man.

Most of this comment section needs to listen to this. I have a blast wrecking people with Omni Man , he's the literal reason I got the game and I get my moneys worth. Is it a perfect game? Far from it but it's the only game where I can play as Nolan and make people cry. Can't wait for Homelander either. Whoever pays for skins , kameos and fatalities needs a slap.

this game is missing some key features ill give it that. but lack of content?! its been only 4 months we got 3 stages, like 60 costumes, many colors, 2 chars and 2 kameos, extra shit like brutalities. the hate boner for this game is crazy!! not to mention several weeks were during the holidays. people in 2024 have no chill, all complaints.

Thanks Tom. I'm using her with quan. Her moves really help zoning. 900 health is the only problem.
Only other thing to mention would be wake up invincibility on ball roll; also launches on wakeup.

there’s a huge gap in between a blocked b2 or b3 into glaives. way bigger than sareena’s blades. opponents can d4 before the first glaive hit.

I have seen that with Khameleon you can perform combos with the normal slide, it cancels the animation and you can combo in the air

Having the low combo option with the sai ambush, and having f123 or f12 khameleon overhead both combo are worth it alone, but the glaive shenanigans also work for him as well. I think kitana is the weakest part of it for sub zero even though it still gives him some utility, not having control of what kameo move is coming out is a big L to khameleon. Lao, goro still probably better. I am gonna be running khameleon over sareena from now on though.
Whatever the reasoning may be the state of this game is truly disappointing because it's a fun game to me. I always say this but it's the most fun I've had since MK9. Didn't like the injustice style committed dash/stanima bar that governed movement in mkx and mk11 was cool but super watered-down and slow. The real problem is the incomplete kameos or characters. I think the only way to save this game is to add more content to keep people playing and to make each kameo provide a unique advantage, excell greatly at a specific tactic. We just need to see a wider variety of kameos and unique setups.

So fast? you can literally do a full combo before it even switches, can switch mid combo no matter the form and convert while also controlling when you change. Have you not seen how strong the pros are placing her already?! She has amazing synergy with most of the cast and gives everyone high dmg, safe specials and reduced dmg, like come on what?!?1

I have to disagree here, people complained about those moves because everyone else in the games move set sucked. This game is more open so it’s welcomed, plenty of tools to counter each other. MK11 is handcuffs for every character times about 100.

Also it wasn’t Jacqui’s jump, it was that the jump led to big unbreakable damage. And it had those cancel shenanigans. Also you can’t spam Khameleon because of her cycle. And airgas Kabal just got to OS jump kick nomad dash with no consequence the entire match.

Far from it but it's the only game where I can play as Nolan and make people cry. Can't wait for Homelander either. Whoever pays for skins , kameos and fatalities needs a slap.

we have got two chars, in half the time it takes other fighters, kameos are great, there are many games with them in it. clearly you DONT play the game cause only at the highest level do peeps just use whats best to win. this game is missing some key features ill give it that. but lack of content?! its been only 4 months we got 3 stages, like 60 costumes, many colors, 2 chars and 2 kameos, extra shit like brutalities. the hate boner for this game is crazy!! not to mention several weeks were during the holidays. people in 2024 have no chill, all complaints.
