Look, at first i had a low expectation of this movie since it's fanmade and i expected a cheap effect and all that but you guys did a masterpiece! Meg, Claudette, Dwight and of course trapper were all on point. Kudos to the whole team and i wish you make more of this.
If you showed this to me without context, and told me this was leaked footage of the DBD movie, I would have believed you. That’s how well made this is.
(Claudette, Nikki Dixon) Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to watch and commented!! And to everyone that says Claudette’s depiction is spot on! Big thanks to Kara Peters in costume design and Jared Cline for painting a vivid picture of who she is and directing me at every turn to ensure I accurately portrayed her!
It says something about the time and care put into this when you can instantly know who a person is jist from their clothes! Furthermore, you played Claudette excellently! She always stuck me as a "deer in headlights" when it comes to scary situations. The facial expressions of her noticing Trapper's reluctance (the fear, sadness, and confusion) were spot on!
I like how authentic your take on this game is. No looping, no tbagging, 360ing, etc. The moment of clarity Trapper had when Claudette was down really empathizes his fight against the Entity. This is a great depiction of Dead by Daylight considering the game isn’t really a horror game anymore. I think you did a pretty good job so far.
I think Dwight’s actor was amazing, the facial and bodily emotions were amazing his voice was highly accurate. Overall Dwight was just how I’d imagine he’d be. Not saying the other actors weren’t great I just noticed Dwight’s movements the most, I also love the little hidden lore parts mainly Trappers disobedience to the entity for a few seconds.
I love this so much, just one thing to remember: According to lore, when entering the realm of the entity, you lose not only your memories but your ability to speak, unless screaming and groaning or breathing. The only character that can do so is Nicolas Cage, as his trailer states "I still remember who I am". The only other character who can do so is Vigo, but Vigo escaped the realm so he isn't part of it anymore. Except the fact he was Claudette's mentor and the only person to remember or speak anything. other than those facts, congratulations on creation such a wonderful film!
Thanks for your attention to the lore! Yea. We took some creative license to add a little bit of dialogue. I’m definitely a fan of less dialogue though! I’m curious to see what they are doing with the movie because there’s no way it’ll be a feature film from Blumhouse with no dialogue.
I love how the entity is always there as this everlasting looming *entity* whispering in tones we do not understand but almost guiding /forcing that violence trapper induces upon the others. It thrives off of it. Love the portrayal
This is the most Meg Meg that has ever Meg'd. Perfect portrayal. Haha Odds are she only had Claud there for protection hits. XD Great film, love to see more!
Thank you so much for this compliment! ❤ I'd never done costume design or prop creation before, but I'm so grateful that this was my first opportunity to do so. Truly the most challenging and rewarding experience. 🖤🖤🖤
I've never really played the game but this was a decent little fan film. it was well shot and had great picture quality and really good costume work on the trapper.
Dude, this is 17 minutes of intense awesomness. This keep me whole time in suspension. You folks did great job. Characters are developed very well. And his hesitate while Claudette looks at him. This little detail is so cool. Just don't have enough words to say how it's hit me.
I can’t stress enough how much I loved this film, it’s exactly the kind of content I want to see in the official movie. The Trapper’s look is phenomenal and the survivor cast all look like their video game counterparts. I love how terror radiuses even get an Easter egg and I hope the director moves forward with the teased sequel
You guys did such a phenomenal job on this and it was very true to the game. Seeing the costume designs and sets was amazing and seeing even some lore tidbits here and there such as Trapper attempting to fight off the influence of the entity clearly showed that all involved were fans and really brought this to life in an effective manner. I would honestly more than trust you guys to bring us the dbd movie!
Bro, this is amazing, I want more, I want all the killers, it really turned out great. When it finished I was left wanting more, it seemed very short hahahaha. Claudette is identical to the one in the game. I really loved it, I became a fan just with this video. The Trapper cosplay was also veeery cool. I'm really looking forward to more
Oh I just adore this! The acting, the writing, the awesome shots of the moon, fires, as well as the pan- aways, it’s just amazing. This gave me literal chills, and I love how you incorporated Ethan’s resistance to the entity too, everything was just * chef’s kiss * I really hope you do another one! 💖
Eh, so far from the source material, a trapper not camping? Fake! No, I kid. This was amazing! I really enjoyed the characters coming to life and the hint that they come back to the campfire to go back to getting hunted again by killers (as Meg suggested with her comment). Really cool! Would love to see more with the entity, like in the sky and such. Nicely done!
@@JClineFilms The struggle of solo queing😂 I think that it goes without saying though that you guys LITERALLY killed it with this short film. I think it set the bar pretty high for how a Dead by Daylight film should be.
This is what we should called "Masterpiece"! As a Dead by Daylight fan, this is quality. All the costumes design, the actors and actresses and everything! You must be very good at making film! I hope Dead by Daylight Communities see this too!
Baby survivors got smoked by legacy trapper he wanted to give claud hatch but decided not to bec she sandbagged Meg (missed flashlight save and didn't do gens and even stared at Meg getting mauled truly a baby survivor)
Thats a Really awsome Project. The Costumes are so good. The Cast is absolute awsome. Not only the appearence, also the Play is WAY better then some Overrated Horror Movie this times. Claudette really looks like she is absolute terrified and dont understand, wahts going on. Dwight makes two Classic Dwight Moves (stepping in the Trap like a brainless and taking the Hand to the mouth like in the lobby) The set has definitive some Mac Millan Vibes. The Camera and editing is absolute on Point and captures the scene perfecly (the Hooking scene was HUGE). The Love for the Lore is also a thing, some big Filmmakers should copy. The simple Fact that Evan tried to resist the Entity was the cherry on the cake of awsomness. And last but not Least the teaser for my beloved Main Killer gave me chills... I am really excited to see this shortmovie.. The Biggest W i can give. 4k ggwp
This was actually amazing and very well done. I love the orange glow effects on trapper when you first see him it looks just like the game. You aced dwight especially Claudette and meg is meg lol i was a little sad there was no jake as he was my first ever main when i joined dbd back in 2017. I joined dbd when Freddy came out. Im a huge dbd fan and to see a little live action was epic to say the least. Good job everyone 💕
Dude this game is hardwired into my system. Whenever the flashlight went across the screen or was pointed at the killer I found a super intense wave of anger wash over me. Aside from that, this is absolutely amazing
Congrats! Love the attention to detail!! BhVR needs to get you guys on the payroll. This is insanely good promotion, and i think will help to bring a ton of people to the game. Would love to see this become a series, with each new short film covering a different Killer, more survivor interactions, and even deeper lore.
You really killed it, casting and costume design were amazing especially the acting. And the fact it all follows the game lore is great. I also love how Meg was the hardcore survivor who knew everything, also accurate to the game.
This was EPIC ASF. This needs an award. The cast, the visuals, the realism. ATE IT DOWN. Behavr really needs to hire you for their movie fr. 10/10 + subscribed. 🙌🏽
absolutely loved every second of this adaptation. i really wanna give my highlight to the first scene, with Dwight's actor. amazing portrayal of fear, from the very dwight like nail biting, but even down to the lip pursing and eyebrow flexing. attention to detail here was amazing, with subtle terror radius like suspenseful buildup to make the terror of game come to life. love to the whole team
You guys did a great job, actors did a good job convincing me they were scared/in pain and doing what they could just to survive, you could tell the trapper didn't want to go through with it as is the lore but that the entity was punishing him and forcing him and that whilst he didn't want it, he was fighting a losing fight trying to resist. The lighting was great, it felt dark but without concealing the details in the set or the actor's expressions and on top of all that you guys did a great job on keeping true to the game.
I can't believe I didn't see this until now, it's so amazing! I'm glad I got to watch this masterpiece. I absolutely loved everything about it, from the actors, the cinematography, the costumes, the setting, it was all just so goooood!
This is absolutely fantastic, the environment, the dynamics, this should be a inspiration for the upcoming film, I love everything about Dwight appearence and acting for the few we see him, the characters rappresentation is quite perfect (maybe the main characters act a bit too stupid, but is understandable, poor newbies), I want more of it, we want more of it
I am amazed by the costume design here. The actors look perfect. The Trapper himself is also fantastically well acted, feels like a little bit of Jason, a little bit of Michael, and a great uniqueness to McMillan himself. Bravo
I wanted to portray the perfect killer. Those three combined make the perfect killer! So, thank you. Jared told me how to act! And Kara made me scary. 90% them and 10% me. THE BEST to work with!
Aww, thank you, Michael! I couldn't have asked for a better guy to cover in the stickiest and grittiest of makeup again and again... Even when it came to the many costume adjustments and hours spent in my chair in 105° heat, you were a fantastic sport and talent. Trapper ftw.
This is what I always imagined the movie could feel like, the characters and backgrounds look great, and the writing wasn’t too cheesy or forced. Very well done
This is an amazing piece of accurate story telling! So many parts of this live action adaptation really caught my appreciation and respect! To know that Huntress may be next has me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting in excitement to see how this next adaptation has in store for us! The details in this are truly proportionate to the game with Dwight's Nervous nail biting, Megs speed, The Trapper's retaliation and his Mori! There's so much potential for this "series" if I can call it that! -- If there was anything else I would like to see in later adaptations would probably to see a little bit more courage and reassurance from a few survivors as it's depicted that when around the campfire they give small gestures of reassurance to each other. All in all there really isn't much else to add!
This video is just an absolute reminder that most of the killers still have feelings they ain' t just killing machines. Your video absolutely touches the subject of killers resisting entity and I love it ❤
Very cool video I like how you had Trapper mentally fighting the Entity at the end . Thought for sure he was going to give Claudette the hatch but ends it with a mori .
This is just pure gold. The level of detail for each character was just amazing. Loved it. Keep up the good work. Would love to see more killers and survivors included in future videos.

Look, at first i had a low expectation of this movie since it's fanmade and i expected a cheap effect and all that but you guys did a masterpiece! Meg, Claudette, Dwight and of course trapper were all on point. Kudos to the whole team and i wish you make more of this.
(Shaun, dir. of photography/colorist): Awesome :). Thank you.
This is such an amazing film i cannot, PERFECT actors and actresses, u thought dwight was ADORABLEEE AHH and the trapper, just waw
If you showed this to me without context, and told me this was leaked footage of the DBD movie, I would have believed you. That’s how well made this is.
(Shaun, dir. of photography/colorist): Comment of the day. Thanks so much.
You were great!!
you did an absolutely amazing job! Thank you so much for your contribution
You were really spot on! Perfect!
You were amazing as Claudette 💯💯. She is my group main survivor with the speed heals. Hope to see more of you 😁
I like how authentic your take on this game is. No looping, no tbagging, 360ing, etc.
The moment of clarity Trapper had when Claudette was down really empathizes his fight against the Entity. This is a great depiction of Dead by Daylight considering the game isn’t really a horror game anymore. I think you did a pretty good job so far.
Yup
I think Dwight’s actor was amazing, the facial and bodily emotions were amazing his voice was highly accurate. Overall Dwight was just how I’d imagine he’d be. Not saying the other actors weren’t great I just noticed Dwight’s movements the most, I also love the little hidden lore parts mainly Trappers disobedience to the entity for a few seconds.
I love this so much, just one thing to remember:
According to lore, when entering the realm of the entity, you lose not only your memories but your ability to speak, unless screaming and groaning or breathing.
The characters looked almost spot on to the game! And the cinematography was amazing.
Our DoP Shaun Peter Cunningham and lighting director Edgar Cortes both made the visuals so impactful. Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting adaptation of Trapper's lore by showing him hesitating.
Very well done
Thank you nesser! Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
I’m gonna need a series. This was perfection. Can’t wait for the huntress one!
I love how the entity is always there as this everlasting looming *entity* whispering in tones we do not understand but almost guiding /forcing that violence trapper induces upon the others. It thrives off of it. Love the portrayal
(Shaun, dir. of photography/colorist): Kind words. Glad you loved it. Appreciate ya!
I can't watch this without tearing up that my beloved Trapper exists in real life.
That is correct! I exist! @blackbeltmike99 👊🏻👹
This is the most Meg Meg that has ever Meg'd. Perfect portrayal. Haha Odds are she only had Claud there for protection hits. XD Great film, love to see more!
😆 Gotta watch out for those Megs.
@@JClineFilms Will there be 4 Megs episode?
i really enjoyed the lore acuracy with trapper that he doesnt want to kill but is being forced too, so cool
The character design couldn't be more accurate. Also quite fond of the colors and lighting.......
(Shaun, dir. of photography/colorist): Thanks buzz :)
Claudettes casting was brilliant! Great job on the film!
Dude, this is 17 minutes of intense awesomness. This keep me whole time in suspension. You folks did great job. Characters are developed very well. And his hesitate while Claudette looks at him. This little detail is so cool. Just don't have enough words to say how it's hit me.
Thank you for viewing the whole thing Bartomiejpal! Glad you enjoyed the suspenseful take on DBD!
Such an amazing fan film. I think Jared Cline could be well on his way to the full on movie industry!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the vote of confidence!
Bro it's so accurate! Even the acting of meg and Claudette not doing gens early on the game? It's so realistic!
3k subs is criminal for the quality of this. +1 more, hope to see more!
Thanks for the sub! Hope we are able to do more for you guys! 💪🏻 We had a strong team that made it all happen!
Wow! This is the ultimate compliment! Thank you so much 😊
Agreed Nikki. Thanks for the comment and for watching realmjumper!
I'm really looking forward to more
Thank you! ❤❤❤
Meg: *We need to fix the generators if we want to get out of here.*
The survivors I get queued with: *No, I don't think I will.*
😂 I've definitely had a few matches like that.
Thanks Poppy! Almost everyone working on this have made films before. Really honored you call it a “Masterpiece” 😊
I like that the short film includes trapper disobeying the entity, as he presumably does in lore, loved that part!
Baby survivors got smoked by legacy trapper he wanted to give claud hatch but decided not to bec she sandbagged Meg (missed flashlight save and didn't do gens and even stared at Meg getting mauled truly a baby survivor)
Absolutely loved your take on Meg, she was spot on and perfect! This film is an absolute labor of love and it really shows
Thank you for watching! We put our all into this! Glad you can see our passion!
Thats a Really awsome Project. The Costumes are so good. The Cast is absolute awsome. Not only the appearence, also the Play is WAY better then some Overrated Horror Movie this times. Claudette really looks like she is absolute terrified and dont understand, wahts going on. Dwight makes two Classic Dwight Moves (stepping in the Trap like a brainless and taking the Hand to the mouth like in the lobby)
The set has definitive some Mac Millan Vibes. 4k ggwp
Congrats on the release!! That was so sick
Thanks Kyto! I've seen your videos man! Keep it up! Appreciate the watch and comment. It means a lot.
bro its amazing, its lore accurate with the campfire keep it up man
The adition of the mori was so cool lol, thanks guys!
We loved making the mori happen! Glad you liked it! Thanks for the watch and comment!
I'm obsessed! PLEASE make more of these! Everyone did so well and Claudette looks AMAZING!!
❤❤❤❤❤
Claudette here! Thank you 😍😍😍
This was actually amazing and very well done.
This was actually done really really well. Great job. I hope this actually gets turned into a series someday
Thanks DeathRebel! Definitely a dream of ours!
Dude this game is hardwired into my system. Whenever the flashlight went across the screen or was pointed at the killer I found a super intense wave of anger wash over me. Aside from that, this is absolutely amazing
Claudette is a new survivor, I don't blame her lmao
Congrats! Love the attention to detail!! BhVR needs to get you guys on the payroll. This is insanely good promotion, and i think will help to bring a ton of people to the game.
Would love to see this become a series, with each new short film covering a different Killer, more survivor interactions, and even deeper lore.
(Shaun, dir. of photography/colorist) Thanks for this. Means a lot. I’m going to share your comment with Behaviour 👊
The fact that this doesn’t have millions of views is criminal
You really killed it, casting and costume design were amazing especially the acting. And the fact it all follows the game lore is great. I also love how Meg was the hardcore survivor who knew everything, also accurate to the game.
Thanks Cyberbot! Really glad you enjoyed it!
This was a great watch! I love the touch of the trapper looking behind his shoulder as he does in the dbd poster! Hope to see more of this!!
Nice catch! Wish the fire was bigger but we did what we could 😂 Thank you for the comment!
Dwight biting his nails, I found the reference.
Cap would be proud.
We’ll done! The costumes, the set pieces, the accuracy was really amazing!
This was EPIC ASF. This needs an award. The cast, the visuals, the realism. ATE IT DOWN. Behavr really needs to hire you for their movie fr. 10/10 + subscribed. 🙌🏽
I've been playing DBD a lot recently, and this video is AMAZING. The casting, the costumes, the sets...it's just incredible. Excellent job!
After we finished this film I started playing more too! Thank you!
absolutely loved every second of this adaptation. i really wanna give my highlight to the first scene, with Dwight's actor. amazing portrayal of fear, from the very dwight like nail biting, but even down to the lip pursing and eyebrow flexing. attention to detail here was amazing, with subtle terror radius like suspenseful buildup to make the terror of game come to life. love to the whole team
Bravo
(Shaun, dir. of photography/colorist): That's awesome feedback, Gabe. Thanks.
All in all there really isn't much else to add!
fantastic. i love that you highlighted Trappers lore.....showcasing his struggle against the entity.
I love you too! 👹
Perfeeeeect!!!! Loved how everyone looks like the game characters, and it really took the vibe of the game!
This video is just an absolute reminder that most of the killers still have feelings they ain' t just killing machines. Your video absolutely touches the subject of killers resisting entity and I love it ❤
Killers have feelings too. Or at least motivations 😂
Very cool video I like how you had Trapper mentally fighting the Entity at the end . Thought for sure he was going to give Claudette the hatch but ends it with a mori .
Thanks for watching Doug! Glad you enjoyed that part!
@@JClineFilms so going to be Huntress next did I hear the lullaby at the end ?
This reaches short film Hollywood standards⭐
Thank you for that compliment! Our whole team appreciates it!
if the movie reported to be coming out is anything like this, i will be so happy. well done guys!
the dbd movie in the works wont be half as good as this this was unreal amazing work jared and everyone involved
😍😍😍
@@nikkidixon7925 Claudette yo unreal bravo i main huntress and im so so redy for part 2 cant wait once again amzeing job to everyone
Oh my God the guy in the first half played the part of being scared so well same with all the actors man this is so underated
This is just pure gold. The level of detail for each character was just amazing. Loved it. Keep up the good work. Would love to see more killers and survivors included in future videos.
the whole film was really impressive, but i gotta say that the costume design was perfect!! good job to everyone envolved
Thank you @dokuta 😄!!! That honestly means so much to me. I'm so glad you enjoyed the film; your comment has certainly made my day. ❤️
-Kara (costume design/props/makeup)
This is seriously underrated, this is amazing. I didn't think the acting would be this good but it is! It really felt immersive and the atmosphere is phenomenal too. The shots are just amazing
(Shaun, dir. of photography): Glad you loved it. We’re very humbled by our cast. As DoP I’m glad you liked the shots too 😊
That trapper costume looks incredibly sick! Incredible work!
Kara worked so hard on getting the details right! I know she appreciates this.
Thank you so much! He's definitely my favorite (and most challenging) project to date. ❤ Knowing that the diehard fans love it gives me all kinds of reasons to smile. 😊
That was great! Really cool how you guys tried to make it as realistic as possible and not completely basing everything off the game.
This is amazing, already waiting the next one with the huntress!! 🔥🔥🔥
Wow everything is so accurate, idk how you managed to find the perfect cast for this but you did and it is amazing
Absolutely nailed the outfits to the details, Dwight's untucked shirt on one side the hair out of one side of her hat, fantastic.
Trapper fighting back entity was super cool and accurated. Amazing film, pretty good job so far.
This is nothing short of phenomenal. I loved the heartbeats in the back and the outfits were perfect. I enjoyed every second of watching and truly believe you and your team did perfect!
(Shaun, dir. of photography): Much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the kind words.
