Great review, I decided to pick this up at Walmart. I don’t use my car much it sits in the garage most the time. Battery died recently so I picked up a new one. 2 1/2 weeks later battery went dead. So I’m going to give this a try and keep in plugged in so it stays charged from now on..
Do you have to have this plugged in while checking a battery voltage or can you plug the battery charger in overnight and charge the box and then use it that way or do you have to have it plugged in while you're checking the battery voltage
What you want me do, take it apart and put it back together for you? Lol...I showed you what I used it for and showed you the features of unit...if thats not good enough, go find other videos
Stanley has a similar model. If battery below 5-6 volts, it will not charge. You will need to 'shock' the battery with a manual charger and bring it up to 10-11 volts before this charger will recognize it and start the charge process. It's good at bulk charging, but I don't believe it desulfates well, need a smart charger with pulse tech to complete the recovery process.

Hey I have a question my battery died during a crank no start hooked this up to it overnight and it charged it when trying to crank car multi xs it died again and left dead for 4 days then brought battery in and put it back on this everstart pushed charge button and it switched itself to battery reconditioning so I left it for 2 days and when I push battery voltage button it says 1.2-1.9v but every time I press the charge button within a few seconds it keeps switching back to battery reconditioning mode do you know why it doesn't stay on charge mode.? PS the battery is only a yr or two old
My stored backup battery leaks a little over several months to about 80%, when I recharged it, it showed the charging current at around 3.5A. I take it the battery charger decides which current setting to use (whether it is 50A, 15A, or 3A) and we can change it. Also, the charger seems to get louder every now and then quiet back down. Is this normal? My first time ever use a charger. Thanks.
My 1 month old mower read 1.7 volts. Too low to be jumped. Since time was a factor, I decided to go to Walmart and get both a battery and charger. The yard I cut took a 60" commercial mower over 4 hours to complete. I thought this would be enough time to charge the factory battery. I finished the lot, cleaned the mower, then checked the charger. It didn't charge the battery. I took the battery home and let it sit over night on a neighbor's old charger. To my surprise, it took a charge. So how long should it have taken this EverStart to completely charge a lawn tractor battery? Was 5 hours not enough time?
These automatic chargers won't charge if the battery is below a certain voltage. I really regret buying another one. I bought my first one from harbor freight and it wouldn't charge if the battery was completely dead. I thought it was defective, so I bought a different one from Walmart, 40/15/3amp everstart maxx and same story. I really regret not returning it and getting a better manual charger. I have a 40 year old trickle charger I have to use before I can use either of the auto chargers if the battery is completely dead. For sombody with only one charger, these are not very good imo. If you have multiple chargers (not automatic) or your using it more as a maintainer or to just top a battery off that still has decent voltage, might work fine but I do not recommend these to folks.
Question: I got a new car battery but my car battery went completely dead because I could not move my car out my garage (door Bar snapped to the garage door ) so I would like to know how many hours do it take to charge up a dead battery to get it back to a full change from being completely dead?
Mine is not charging suddenly. It's blinking like yours as tho not connected. It's been maintained my batter I use intermittently on my boat for 12v lights and bilge pumps. Do you think my battery is just so dead It's not registering?
Hi, if its not charging properly, it very well could be your battery...how long did you leave it hooked up? If its completely dead, it will take awhile, just hookup the cables and push start button and let it sit for several hours or overnight....its always charged any battery ive hooked up to it.
I read on the instructions that it isn't to be used on an installed boat battery--that needs different equipment. That is probably why this man brings his in for recharging.
