      @@PixieDusted72 A battery powered jump starter will start your can without being plugged in. This video features a charger, which is great for charging a dead battery, but won't help you if your stranded.
      It also has a reconditioning feature which I'm using right now on an old lawn mower battery. So far it's working great for that.

    I just bought the Everstart version of this same charger. It is wanting to charge my battery to 15v. Isn't that way too high for a 12 battery?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  9 месяцев назад

      That's a good question. I read online that a normal car battery can read between 12.6-14.4V. I'd have to find out more to see what the experts say about going to 15.

    Probably a stupid question but I’m currently broke and having issues with my battery voltage being low. Probably an issue with my alternator but I’m waiting to have enough money to get the issue resolved. Can I use this to charge my battery once a day to get to work and back until I have enough to go to a mechanic?

      I've been in that boat before, Edgar. I've actually done that for a few days where I charged my battery at night, drove the next day to work and parked next to an outlet. I charged it at work and drove home. I was able to make the 10 minute drive to work and home. Good luck with it.

    Hey I have a question my battery died during a crank no start hooked this up to it overnight and it charged it when trying to crank car multi xs it died again and left dead for 4 days then brought battery in and put it back on this everstart pushed charge button and it switched itself to battery reconditioning so I left it for 2 days and when I push battery voltage button it says 1.2-1.9v but every time I press the charge button within a few seconds it keeps switching back to battery reconditioning mode do you know why it doesn't stay on charge mode.? PS the battery is only a yr or two old also mine is the everstart Maxx but everything is the same just different name

    • @VintageCars999

      Could mean the battery is bad, try running the recondition mode up to 5 times and see if that resolves it

      Below 3 volts is a battery that typically cannot be recovered

    • @jacobfreeman5054
      @jacobfreeman5054 Месяц назад

      Use jumper cables and another running car to start the charge (~15min) this will get your voltage up enough to be meaningful. Then I would see if you can get it to start chraging. If not, recondition for 24h and see.

      Hi, I am having the same issue, and I think I know the reason. If your vector 15 amp is the most recent model, on the big red botom (om the left) says "lithium / lead acid" instead of the word "charge" just push it again and wait 10 seconds to change from lithium Mode to lead acid. You will know the diference because on "lithium Mode" shows L1, the voltage and amp, and it kepps the beep beep But on the lead acid only will show you the amp on the screen and it doesn't make any sound.
