    Nowadays we have Photoshop and other editing programmes to manipulate colours at will, but those Canon colours... oh my God! That golden warmth! Every time I think about selling my EOS R and switching to another system, I just go out on the street and shoot...
    Every time there are some photos that give me that special kind of feedback that haunts me.
    I am really in love with the "R" system!

    Really love this video! Can I ask 1 question? What focus mode do you use? Manual focus, or auto? And if auto do you use a variable point to focus? Because I presume it sometimes has to be done very fast to capture the picture as you want?

      You can set 'minimum shutter speed' in your camera settings under 'ISO speed settings' at the bottom (on R5, R6 and R6 mkii). I set up a shortcut in my quick menu so can quickly change it depending in what i'm doing

    Lol can’t find a real answer. Could you tell me how the battery life is on the r5?

    • @TKNORTH
      @TKNORTH  2 года назад +1

      Are you trying to compare it to another camera? Perhaps one you're currently using? Otherwise it's a bit hard to give a more objective answer, but overall it's good in my opinion! Certainly the older LP batteries you notice they don't last as long, but the ones the R5 comes with, they last pretty well.

    • @DayumMarq

      @@TKNORTH lol yeah, I’m trying to compare it to the a7iv.

    • @TKNORTH
      @TKNORTH  2 года назад +1

      Comparison wise the Sony lasts longer! But real world I wouldn’t really say it’s one of the R5’s downsides. So just depends how important it is to you I guess

    Great photos and I like all of the them. However, if I'm being critical, I think you are heavily relying on the bokeh which makes you lazy. I mean, I don't blame you cause I also personally own and love my 50mm f1.2 and it feels bad to stop it down haha 😁, but for street photography, since there is so much crap in the shot, it takes quite an effort to compose something at f5.6 (or higher) where everything is focus. However, when you manage to do it, I find such shots the really rewarding, mostly because you are actually observing entire photo and all the details, rather than just focusing on a single thing when everything else is melted in bokeh. This is something that I'm trying to improve on myself so I thought I would mention it here :) And I love the video. It would be also cool to add some sort of voice over for you thinking process while you are taking the photos. This is something that is really helpful to others when learning photography.

    • @TKNORTH
      @TKNORTH  2 года назад +3

      Hey Toni! Firstly, thank you for such a constructive comment. Most comments on RUclips when critiquing anything tend to go about it in a very different way 😂 which isn't overly useful for anyone!
      But I really appreciate this. For me I would say I get pretty comfortable with the type of street photography, I do love the separation between subject and environment in most situations. Which is often a bit against more traditional street photography and of course not everyone's preference. I can't say I often find these types of shots with more of the total scene in focus as rewarding myself, but I still totally agree with your comment! Comfort can breed poor habits and I definitely tend to overdo this one. It's always good to push yourself and mix things up and certainly for different situations experiment more with different depths of field. Thanks for watching and your insights!

    Not sue if you did that intentionally. I see you basically only used the max aperture 1.2/1.8 for these 2 lens. My impression is that max aperture doesn't give you best image quality unless bokeh is what you want?

      It's a SouthEast Asia tradition (especially in countries such as Korea, Japan, and China). They have been wearing masks well before covid was a thing. It's all about health to them. However, they could be travelling just as the travel bubble open and some are quite paranoid - whether it be health conscious or a conspiracy thing.
