Guys! It's been way too long! Thanks for your patience and support. TONS of life changes occurring but I still have to make time for the PEOPLE and my PASSION!
I took the Canon R5 and the RF 50mm f1.2 out for a street session and discuss why this is such a great lens. There are a couple cons I go over but overall, this is a solid, affordable prime lens that can give you beautiful photos.

F2.8 to 4.0 might be your better choice for that lens when taking portraits. On the street shots, f4 to 5.6 or more works wonders. Yes, the 50mm f1.8 is a very nice fine lens, for the price. The 35mm macro is nice too -- a little distortion, which for a macro is strange, but corrected, at least in JPGs, in camera. When taking a portrait group of shots, at times, you can get a great shot before or soon after, they think you are shooting -- people are less stiff. Take care, Loren
The BW u make is perfect.. U hv my respect
Thanks so much for your vote of confidence my friend!! 📸‼️💯
The blind shot images look so fire.
Thanks friend! 📸🎯
There are so many famous street photographers
But still
I see your videos because you have different type of attraction in your talking.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch. I really appreciate your support and im glad you enjoy the videos! 📸💯
Really nice colors on your photos. Do you have a tutorial or presets that you would recommend ?

Hello superb video, a question where did you get your cover for the R5.
Thank you
Merci bonne journée.
Hello my friend, thank you so much for watching and for your kind words. I purchased the skin from www.alphagvrd.com
🎯📸💯
Thank you 🙏🏼
Cool shots!
I appreciate that, Leighton! Thanks!! 🎯📸💯
Thanks.😊 this video made me appreciate the character that each lens brings to images. This nifty 50 brings a certain casual , loose look . Charming; and human warmth to your portraits. I realize clinically sharp shots that the ‘L’ lens professional lens bring are not Always what’s required or even desirable. This lens has a lot of charm; especially when you stop it down a little !😊 I guessing that’s the very point you’re making with this video. I notice you’re rolling with that beautiful ‘L’ zoom which can really improve the quality of your images; especially in certain situations and looks you’re wanted to achieve ! Praises to the Little Nifty 50 that Can and Could ! I understand that the Canon in camera corrections that the JPEG engine offers can really help clean up any deficiencies this lens has . What do you think, Brother ? 👍
Robert thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. I think you hit the nail right on the head! The nifty 50 is just that… a versatile, budget-friendly lens that is more than able to get the job done. 📸🎯
These are such great shots, im definitely convinced to get this for my R6 II that I ordered (still hasn’t arrived). Im also thinking of the 35mm f1.8
Thanks so much for checking out the video! The 35mm f1.8 is a lens I've wanted to get my hands on for some time now. 🎯📸💯
@@MilmidStudios from the tests ive seen it can definitely resolve 24mp well enough for my usage so yeah, its almost EF L quality in resolving power. Hopefully you can get your hands on it, if so ill keep my eye out for that video definitely in my notifications
@@MilmidStudios Hello! Where do you buy the R5 skin?
@Ejemscars111 hello, I purchased it at www.alphagvrd.com 🙏🏽📸💯
Great lens, great camera, nice skin, cool pictures.
Thanks so much for the kind words and for checking out the video, my friend! 💯📸👌🏽🎯
hii , I just bought my first Camera to travel to Tokio and Kyoto Japan ( Eos R50 ). I am a total beginner, would the 50mm be perfect to learn and to take pictures of Tokio ? I have the kit lens now ( 18-45 ).
Love the video :)
@@MichaelTravelsJapan hello there! Thanks for reaching out and congratulations on your new camera! The 50mm is a good, versatile lens that you should certainly consider. I would also bring your 18-45 so you can get some nice wide shots. There is so much happening in Tokyo so a wide lens is good to have. When I travelled to Tokyo I only took a 35mm lens and I had a great experience! Enjoy your trip!
nice shot
Nice shots!!
Thanks so much! 💯❤️
@@MilmidStudios My pleasure!
I hope I run into you one day
Really inspiring, would you still recommend this for apsc. I'm buying the r7 and I realize this will crop to a 80mm
Hello Tyler! Thanks for watching! I would certainly recommend this lens for both APSC and full frame applications. It won't have as much versatility as the 'nifty 50' on a full frame since it will be a little tighter on the apsc sensor, like you mentioned, but for the cost and quality you can get out of the lens, I'd say it's still worth it. 💯🎯📸
I would also consider the RF 28mm f2.8 that Canon recently released. Here is a POV shoot I did with it:

👍👍
@MilmidStudios thank you so much!! This is tough because I'm on a budget, do you recommend putting more effort into a good camera body or a good lense. I'm on a 3000 dollar budget
@TylerJenkinsPhotography good question! There is great benefit to a high-end body, but honestly, I would say a high-end lens is more important. A nice lens will awaken any body! 👍👍
Revealing something with a fixed lens? X100V? Q2/3? 🤔
Haha wow those are some really good guesses!! 📸🎯‼️🫢
If I may Ask, What Camera and Mic are you using to film yourself? Thanks In Advance.
Thanks for the question! I am using the GoPro Hero 10 shooting at 5.3k, 30fps. I am using the Rode Wireless Go II for external audio recording. Cheers! 🎯💯📸👍
just out of curiosity how much time did you spent editing the pictures on everage?
Hi there! Thanks for the question. There are some photos that only need one of my presets applied and it’s good to go, but most require a preset, exposure adjustment and some masking which could take anywhere from 1-3 minutes per.
@@MilmidStudios thnx
What is that camera wrap?
Hi there! The wrap is from alphagvrd.com 💪💯🎯📸
