Hi David, ive been trying to implement GTD for past for months and i keep getting stuck. The main question i have is:
How can entrepreneurs with 2 or more businesses centralise GTD methodology in a digital system that still syncs with calendar and tasks? i use Office 365 and if i use MS Planner, i need a separate planner for each of my businesses. This is not practical or efficient. If i have 5 businesses, i would need to check 5 MS planner boards every day or week. Please help

"Loosen the grip of unclear agreements.... " Excellent! My list is very unclear-- even the list I write down. I am going to focus on clarity.

David , thanks so much for your hard work , that is to streamline and condense the most critical elements of GTD into very understandable and motivating message . Thinking is work and some times very hard without the right tools and habits . From my point of view having read most of the book and listening to many presentations , I have developed a belief and faith in its value . That is my connection when I get overwhelmed , knowing that the process is not far away and within my grasp . I am not totally integrated but accept where I am . GTD provides a widow of what is and what can be . Your skillful use of language of your experience is artful . Thanks so much ! Best Regards Cookie

3:50 "These are all agreements - largely unspoken, and largely unkept." That quote spoke to me. Leaving things fuzzy and unclear allows them to become greater sources of stress.

Not only stress but also a greater chance of failure in achieving then.

Thanks, David! This was super helpful. Actually, I need to MAKE it super helpful by reflecting on it and my list items :) I'll be revisiting this one. By the way, I like your photo of your dog behind you. The rooster bean bag on the shelf is fun, too!

Thank you David. I am working to get mind like water. I love how you circle back to core concepts and link them to our real life challenges. This really hit home with me. But I didn't quite get that last example of the woman with too much to do. Was the answer that she needs to develop a system and use GTD? I will also be listening to this one again. Thank you so much!

@@taichiwithginseng7818 One thought was that she learned "to renegotiate the agreements she has creating for herself", by saying "No".
If I've been delegated x number of things from someone else, I'm always curiously surprised when I ask them to clarify which are the top three items.

Thanks, David, for broadening our perspective on a "full list" or "long list" . Yes, it is actually a precious gift to have many options, many ideas and many possibilities.

I have to disagree. If i write it down, it now exists. Now i have to track it, clarify it, organize it, take time to reflect on it. I"m sunk. I can't make it through the day. It would take me a life time to do just the first three steps of "Capture, Clarify and organize" - with only what i've come up with now to the age of 37.

After GTD I lean towards saying no as a reflex instead of yes. 😉
I now know device what needs to be done and what doesn't. No one decides for me.
