- Destiny 2: Season of the Lost - Savathun Shows The Crow His Past As Uldren Sov (Wayfinder's Voyage VI Week 6 Story)
The Crow finally gets an audience with The Witch Queen and learns the truth of the man he used to be: Prince Uldren Sov. Savathun showed Crow his entire life, all the way up to his murder of Cayde 6 and his eventual death at our hand. Understandbly, Crow is deeply effected by this revelation and he storms out of Mara's chambers filled with grief and anger. This in-game cutscene takes place as apart of Wayfinder’s Voyage Part 6.

I've heard it said that if you look at your past actions/behaviours and cringe, it means you've grown as a person and you're all the better for it. Regret is just another lesson you teach yourself.
That's some good advice right their. I just hope that Crow will see it that way and continue to see it that way. Otherwise, Crow might make the same mistake his past self did all those years ago...
Thats very very nice wisdom there, its like how we were all simps at one point and as you learn some self respect you find yourself simping less
yeah, except crow isn't Uldren, when a guardian is resurrected, they don't have their past memories or anything, they are a brand new person
Experience is but the name that we give to our past mistakes
The word to describe a scenario like that, is "repentance". To cause a change, one has to regret the mistake (or sin in most cases) in order to make a change for the better. What you've heard is a very true thing, but is a very complex subject to find the root of it.
The way you intentionally looked up and looked back to find crow disappeared really made this scene great

Almost a year later and it definitely seem that Savathun actually counted Crow as a "friend" and really didnt want to use him in any way. I love Savathun
Well, she did gain something from this. She planned to become a Guardian. She put Crow through this to see what would happen, because she knew there was a good chance she would also have to go through this.
@@nevermore7285 true, he was her test run of this, but she clearly enjoyed crow's presence and wasnt bullshitting him at any point, given that crow would learn who he is inevitably she might as well give the truth to him instead of allowing someone to screw with him and turn him against the traveler.
Here post final shape. Yeah for sure if the Witness was the one to show Crow and not Savathun he would NOT have been able to hold his own.
@@Mdog2175 yeah Crow would have a million percent lost it here and may have actually joined the Witness at least for a while
I was worried about this, but it seems like Crow doesn't want to be Uldren so there is still hope yet.
We REALLY should have been the ones to tell him. This is BAD, VERY VERY BAD.
@@tylerforehand2983 I 100% agree. It really bugs me that our guardians have basically turned into nothing more then glorified cameramen.
It's not about her turning Crow against us. The plot twist is, he's possibly just a test subject for what she's going to do to her hive guardians. Also, she likes half-truths, so I believe that while he was used as a test subject, she really did care despite what she initially did to him.
@@entitylxx9528 But she corrupted him in the past, so it's not unreasonable to worry that she would do that now. I will say that I'm glad he didn't find out from say, Mara. Because that would've gone even worse.
@@laurenwoods4199 tbf our guardian has always been a cameraman

😂
I think this was, on her part, an experiment to see how a Guardian would react to regaining their memories so completely. Because she knew or suspected she’d have to go through the same process herself, and wanted to know in advance what would happen.
The in-game HUD that shows the name of whoever is speaking switches from The Crow to Uldren Sov when he says his "everything I did, I did for her" line
"Against the traveler."
Wait....I think I get it. I don't think she's lying this time. And that's het plan. She NEEDS the traveler safe. And making Crow our enemy would be a BIG problem for guardians considering how dangerous he could be.
And that's the plan. She NEEDS the Traveler safe....so she can use it's Light for her hive guardians. To use it's power.
Edit: It feels really weird how right I was. I honestly thought I was off the money
I honestly think that she knows if she turned crow against us it would be one of the biggest mistakes of her life
I think Crow is going to kill Savathun in retaliation when he pieces the gaps together, that’s when her Ghost will come revive her.
You were literally right!! Bro
U know too much
Bro hit the nail on the head lmfao
Why the hell does Savathun sound like an ex-wife having a disagreement about about her child with her ex-husband when tLking to us about Crow. That aside the voice acting is fucking phenomenal if I didn't know who Savathun was I would have actually believed she cared about Crow.
All of her dialogue is weirdly convincing.
Its hard not to believe her
she is right about many things, and her voice is so soothing.
Oh shit's about to get real
Now I'm really wishing Fikrul would make another appearance to put more pressure on this situation
Imma go back in time and get Energy Accelerant real quick BRB
“I thought you were my friend!”

See what she did there? She didn’t answer his question. She turned it back on him to get him to reaffirm that she still was. That she still had a spike in his brain. That she still held some sway over him.

2:34 "Often times, when we guess at others' motives, we reveal our own." - Mara Sov
Missed opportunity:
"I want the truth!"
"You can't handle the truth!"
"Just imagine if it had come from someone with bad intentions." Sheesh, didn't really think that through. Guess we owe it to the Witch Queen who's definitely not notorious for her lies and trickery to save us from a very dark future.
I almost cried... and our guardian just 😮🍿
“Don’t give me that look.” She knows she’s talking to the person that killed her brother and can likely take her down too right?
It's an odd one, while Savathun's intentions are for her own grand plan, she has gained a number of good things for the Guardians and humanity. Again, for her own plan, but it's not all like its evil, its not all black and white, and I like that, when the 'Villain' has a point.
It was so funny the way glint looked to savathun and said "you hurt him", like she cares, like she isnt a friggin hive goddess, and one of our fiercest enemies
What I wanna know is how tf did Mara not notice him and what happened with Petra wasn’t she supposed to prevent crow from speaking to savathun anyways as savathun said you can’t escape the inevitable
To be fair, Ikora asked Petra to be the bodyguard of...a Hunter.
If a Hunter wants to pass without trace, they will pass without trace.
Plus, invisibility.
Mara was too busy looking at her Ahamkarah egg
Maybe Mara is another puppet of savu.
Ok let's be honest do you think Petra can really stop crow ?
I'm worried about what she exactly showed Crow because she could have twisted the truth, the truth that she, with Riven's help Manipulated Uldren. She could have hid that from him and say that it was our fault.
Crow needed to know eventually, having the truth come from Savathun will probably make things worse for him than they could have been though
And Mara was right there in the other room, giving absolutely zero fucks
With that cat out of its bag!
How long til the Dogs of War come off their leashes?!
The leashes are a thread from snapping have been since the darkness showed up since shadowkeep they were worn by the tugging and wearing now it's a waiting game of when that thread breaks and how it breaks

I love that his first words upon gaining his memory is for Glint to stay away. He is immediately afraid of what he might do.
Savathun really is the best character
1:56 The way he said it feels so angry I love it
I was actually wishing I could just let him talk to Savathûn while I watch to make sure she doesn’t try anything. Now Crow knows he can trust someone other than Savathûn, and he deserves to know what kind of dark past has been holding him down.
Our guardian managed to make their whole helmet move to give Savathun a sassy look. I’m so proud
“Cayde-6,? I wish I met him, some of the stories I heard…”
Our Guardian better not have to go through "Forsaken 2: electric boogaloo" because of Savathun
This “second chance” talk from Savathun has me wondering about our reasons for hunting her down in Witch Queen.
I have a feeling that we hunt Savathun down in the Witch Queen because she reveals something that will shake the entire universe. And the traveler and the Vanguard would not like the result.
@@nickkane9441 well, kinda
I feel savathun is a one of the best characters introduced in recent years, you have have to be careful about what she says as she weaves lies into the truths she tells so you have stay on your feet, I think she showed Crowe the truth but a slightly twisted one
Bro savathun was just out here starting shit for fun
I'm getting real Palpatine and Darth Vader vibes from this
Finally he knows I'm still having mixed feelings about crow
“Colored the truth about how he died to turn against you against the traveler” that’s definitely part of her plan big time
So Savathun can bring back Guardians' memories, interesting...
It’s only because she corrupted crow by Riven, and so she knew everything
CROW NOOOO. my boi. My lad. My friend. Savathune is amazing, like ever one of her words sounds like a truth wrapped in a lie, so perfect. But also damn it sathona you broke a perfectly good boy. He has trauma now
Mara Sov is blind? She dont saw him passing by her?
He’s a Hunter.
@@Anonymous-wk1jt but he had to pass by the portal, how she don't see him coming? I think she let him talk to Savathun. 😕
It would be interesting if Crow and Savathun grew an actual friendship together only for Crow to question the legitimacy of it and end up hurting her because of his distrust.
Now Crow has to accept who he once was before moving forward to who he can be.
Why have I now got a bad feeling somethings going to happen to crow, feels like Savathun is playing him and I keep coming back to how there are hive ghostsin the witch queen......
If she hurts crow boy...take her head
savathun will always be my favorite destiny villain. top tier
bro he’s gonna be like “Ayo bro you shot my fricken face off wtf”
Regret is a person's reflection of their past actions and behaviour, and accepting that they were wrong. But for anyone who started or have played Forsaken, Crow is only living an extended lore life because Bungie refused to let us shoot him in the face. Game or not, a life gone because of your mistake doesn't magically get forgiven just because you change for the better. Your karma will come for you sooner or later, it's all about when.
I missed this part…. I wish I can go back and see these things!
Now imagine just the shocking awkward moments crow will have with us now😅
She's right, it was better that it came from a friend....... But that friend SHOULD have been us.
Savathun really does like to twist words in her favor. But she says her words very carefully, and it makes you almost want to believe what she said. But remember what Saint said “Queen of Lies.”
I hate to say it... but Savathun is kinda right. Sometimes, to help a friend, you need to tell them - or show them - the truth. It might ruin your friendship, but save them.
I don't entirely agree with her. But given that Crow's doubts could have REALLY eaten away at the man he is now, showing him what he used to be could shock him onto a new, better path. Because he'd know what not to do. How not to be.
Didn't Savathun corrupt Riven in the first place? Isn't she the reason Cayde, Uldren are dead and now reborn into Crow? Can you call somehing kindness and help when you are the reason the problem exists in the first place?
Aw shit… here we go again…
*loads shotgun
Okay, where the heck I put my bug spray.
I wonder if Savathun did this prevent Mara from turning Crow back to Uldren through her own manipulation. She does have a point and after seeing the expansion I can see why she might actually be truthful about Crow in her own way.
Where’s Ana been this whole time? This past lives thing seems relevant to her
She is trying to put rasputin into a exo body. Somewhere in the city after mars disappeared
Savathun is literally a genius who has had eons to master manipulation and it shows
I sure hope Crow doesn't do anything stupid
Savathun is that manipulative partner in a relationship
I wonder how many guardians would be corrupted by the choice of knowing our past if the black fleet or savathun offered it to us. I would probably take it
I mean, she has a point, he was going to find out eventually, the question is should we have been the ones to tell him?
Since when did oryx’s sister become this fvcking chill
Seeing this in the context of witch queen makes me wish we could've at least tried to spare her :/
Savathun : Don't give me that look
Me : So how's Oryx....oh........yea...
Knowing he was uldren make me sad and angry for Cayde
But i like Crow i hope one Day he won't get shotgunned by our friends when he come to talk if yk what i mean
cool
in all fairness... I actually think it went well... if savathun really did show "everything" to crow, that's not only a second chance, but technically a third chance
with crow having the memory of uldren, HE CAN CHOOSE who he wants to be... and before making that choice, ikora should sent him to have a chat with the bray sisters, or even drifter and eris,
Im still waiting to fight the darkness itself on destiny 2
I wish we could learn about our guardians first life.
I have a feeling this same situation is going to be mimicked in the Witch Queens throne world. Only it will be Savathun that will tell the story.
Well, more we tell tell her the story of who she was.
Oh lady me and my mates are gonna rip you a new one in the raid
Oh boy. I haven't touched this game since that last expansion on the moon helping Eris Morn. Guess its time to dust off The Chaperone, Sew up my cloak, and get ol' reliable booted up again
Thanks savathun... forsaken all over again exept our gaurdian dies
parallax trajectory? wasnt that the stuff from season of undying?
Yea the truth (Rocket Launcher) hurts
I wonder, is Savathun telling the truth the entire time she's been in the crystal? Her worm can't hurt her, so maybe she's free to speak the truth.
why does she have motherly energy?
She is right about 1 thing it was gonna happen sooner or later everything else Ill hold off on. U gotta wonder tho what was r past life 🤔.
Savathun: "Don't give me that look"
My Guardian/Me: "Nah I want you to show me my past and if you don't then yo ass finna be a new exotic."
(Apologies for the language)
Hard to say if this is cruelty or mercy
Oh, great... Now he knows we killed his past self
The truth always hurts
It was enjoyable watching Crow like this. He doesn't deserve a second chance
Bungie is absolutely genius. This entire time, we've been led to believe that all Savathun does is lie, but she just told the truth to Qrow.
So now what? Do we take what she says with grains of salt, being careful not to get caught in a lie, or do we only trust her to tell the truth if it helps her?
No, because the most wildest thing about her telling the truth is that it’s all apart of her plan.
She knows that if she was the one to tell the truth, it would drive a wedge between Crow and Mara, which it exactly did. So now this ruins maras plans ever so slightly.
Which is exactly what she needs to further her own goals.
She’s a liar and a manipulator. Everything she does is for her own good. She shows crows past to hurt him, not to help him
Shes spittin tho
I'm confused about Savathun. Is she helping us to help herself only to try and kill us later or something?
She's only acting the way she is to get a hold of the Light for her own luceint brood. rn she has to go along with Mara's plan because her whole brood is likely dead due to them removing their worms already in preparation to be resurrected as Guardians. Without us, she would be dead to the hands of Xivû Arath and the Winnower's Taken and Scorn legions.
The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is why Mara doesn't just hand over Savathûn to the Darkness, as she plans to kill her anyway, sure we lose Osiris but I'm pretty sure he's already dead.
So let me get this straight just because a giant floating metal ball decides to give him a second chance we all should as well yeah not a chance I'll trust the traveler in it's decision but I'm never gonna let go of what he did
Savathun showed Crow the truth about his past, something no one else wanted to do despite knowing it.
It’s less of a second chance and more of a fresh start.
@@nevermore7285 look I'll respect him as a guardian but I'm never gonna forgive him for what he did
Tbh honest it’s not really dramatic some other guardians probably slaughtered millions and don’t know it so to me this is not deep story I was expecting
