- Calus returns with the Leviathan, now derelict and corrupted and attempts to commune with the Witness through the dormant Pyramid Ship on the Moon. Nightmares begin to manifest our deepest regrets aboard the Leviathan, and Crow is finally brought face to face with the monster he once was in his past life as Prince Uldren Sov. This season sees Crow being brought low by his past, and eventually learning to move through it and become something more as a result of his past deeds and how to embody Uldren's best traits, rather than his worst. Season of the Haunted marks one of the most satisfying and important moments of Crow's entire character arc. The stage is set for Crow to become Cayde 6's successor as Hunter Vanguard and fulfill his Vanguard Dare.

As someone who used to be a very selfish and sadistic person & has since been given a second chance to be better from my loved ones, the guilt and anger that Crow feels towards Uldren is very resonant with me, and I really appreciate the message that his nightmare mission contains - that you can't get rid of those parts of yourself, and you should simply use them as reference points to avoid making the same mistakes. It was really therapeutic to hear that.

I like how when the purified nightmares disappeared it show zavala, Caitl, and our guardian looking at them disappear that makes me obviously think that uldren wasn’t only crows nightmare but the guardians as well since uldren thanos snapped Cayde out of existence and Cayde was our favorite vanguard.
That looks between us and uldren almost like words were spoken between us before he smiles nearly an unheard chuckle leaving him as he turns and looks at Crow satisfied by who he has become feels......it just really pulls at the heart knowing he didn't hate us or cayde and was being manipulated and when everything over after all has been said and done he looks at us his killer and then turns to see how we understand it wasn't his choice and we have forgiven him
This season hits all the right story beats. You can tell how brutally difficult this was for all involved.
I hope the crow becomes hunter vanguard and I hope he will use the ace of spades and have his mask back to show the hunters who he is now
He’s already got an exotic tied to him. It’s hawkmoon. I personally would rather see a nightmare cayde 6 for our guardian cause our guardian personally blames themselves for not being able to save cayde and crow could be the main vendor for that season to rally the hunters and help us get passed his mistake and the guardians failure
@@richardford8729 That would have been great, sadly Bungie doesn’t want to use Cayde-6 in stuff like this because they don’t want to cheapen his death(also because they don’t wanna bring back his voice actor).
At least he got to be a ghost in a lore tab for Ikora(see Tresspasser lore), so at least they didn’t forget him
@@richardford8729 our guardian blames themselves? How? Theres lore about our guardian about this? I thought our guardian should reflect the player and all, and I really don't feel like he would be my nightmare. For some people Cayde would be a nightmare but for some people like me, he is just another npc, since I am a not-so-recent new light. I don't even saw Cayde anytime in game unless on videos that everyone likes to put him on thumbnail and missing him on the comments. But that stuff about nightmares really depends on the player, I think.

I wouldn’t say he would use ace of spades since the guardian owns it now, crow would use hawkmoon since we did see that in the final cutscene

One thing i hate about Bungie storyline telling is that they create new plots and just abandones them. In Beyond Light, Exo Stranger was casted aside after the campaign and raid, didn't even appear or mentioned in any of the Beyond Light seasons. Ana Bray was supposed to be joining us in the tower and look how tht turned out, not even a peep of where she's been. And many more plots that are left unresolved while they create new ones.
Yeah i agree with you, some stories get abandoned for a while. But i have to admit that these stories are getting better and better
To be fair, Ana's in the background trying to reactivate Rasputin.
They don’t abandon them, they just leave them to develop quietly in the background until they’re ready to take the center of attention, look at this season for example, Ana and Elsie finally back, Clovis has a role, Osiris finally woke up, the coalition we’ve been building the last two years finally takes shape, it takes time, but the story is being continued
Multiple stories happening at different times. It's cabal then it's hive and eris then it's europa stuff. I believe in lightfall all these stories will be united as all of us fight against darkness itself.
Feel like it more leap frogs them. Stories progress, are put on the back burner, then come up again later on.

I've recently been inside Zavala's office and saw there was yarn/wool over on a small table and thought it was so cute and funny that Zavala knits...now to find out it was because of a lost love T_T Caiatl and Zavala seem to have an understanding, she tells our Guardian don't but allows Zavala and then returns the kindness, yeah I'm not ok 😭

Man this season was great. As someone who didn't play D2 until the tail end of Season of the Hunt, where I was first introduced to Crow having just finished Forsaken (that kind of messed up the whole reveal) I was really glade to explore the Leviathan in it's, let's say phantom form. Being able to access vaulted content is always a plus in my view, gives new people a chance to experience something the veterans went through. And the story of this season, my goodness, my kind of creepy and hell of an emotional ride.
And now we're in the Final Shape, hell of a ride Guardians.

While I do like what they did with Crow having Uldren as his nightmare but I would’ve liked to have seen something with Cayde as his Nightmare
Personally, I think "Prince Crow" is way fucking better than Prince Uldren. Not saying I want crow to return, just saying nightmare sov has no appreciation to a good title
you didnt include the voice lines you can find from some the Memories while exploring the leviathan after the seasonal story, but good video!

The Last darkness subclass could be nightmares since its between red orange and yellow and nightmare is réd and Black
And we could with this create nightmare avatars that serve as allies and we could permute with them by using our melee while aiment at them and creates more by Killing ennemies with capacities like idk it would be pretty Cook
Or create nightmare that torment ennemies and drain their hp to heal us things like that
the last subclass is the eververse store. it's the sword logic perfected.

Can someone tell me why Season of the Haunted was a bad storyline? Literally is was about 3 prominent characters have to do deal with SERIOUS emotional baggage. I mean even Bungie had to release a PSA to their fan base about putting down the game and go take a break,along with recommending a therapist

I'm hoping your joking, but if not, its the Ace of Spades HC kinetec exotic primarily used by Cayde 6 whom Uldren sov used to kill Cayde in the Forsaken DLC.
