    Thank you for sharing! This year I gifted my crafty Grandma a day of crafting with my cricut and she picked this project for next years Christmas cards.. 25 of them!!! I’ll take her to the craft store to pick out papers then head to my house to do all the cutting, and then assemble together.
    She’s use to crafting with stamps, cuttle bug and scissors!
    Loved the tip to re-score the envelope to show tape/glue areas!
    Thanks again!

    I cut this card twice because of my cutter not cutting through the cardstock and then I realized that my glitter cardstock was not going to work. I fiddled with this thing and I got the tree somewhat together but I could not figure out how to do the bottom, the strips with the cuts in it. I went back to DS and they had directions. The pictures were so small I learned nothing and by then I'm thoroughly irritated. So I did a google search and your video was on top of the list and I was thrilled. I still did not see how you attached the "brackets" and the solid strip around the base of the tree. I did the same thing with the stabilizer you did but watched the entire video to see how the rest of the card goes together since I will not be able to see the photos in the directions. I wanted to explain my stress so that you know how truly grateful I am that you made this video. Thank you!

      Hello Sabrina. I totally understand! When I made this video it was the first time
      I’d put it together. My machine didn’t like my cardstock either and the base is tricky and I know i didn’t film it well.
      My snowflake ❄️ pop up card video shows it a bit better and is very similar.
      Well done for completing it and not giving up!

    Dear Cat, I’m living at Munich Germany. Yesterday they cancelled all Christmas Markets in Town because of Covid. I was so depressed. But than I saw your video an I thought I can to this. Immediately I went to the paper store (three times because I produced so much). And now I’m happy. Thank you. And Happy Christmas.

      Definitely a tricky one for a first project. Well done for persevering. The snowflake ❄️ and the dragon pop up cards are a bit easier than this one. Let me know if you have any questions though and I will help if I can ;)

    My friend has one of the cutters - uses it for t-shirt designs. No idea there were additional uses. Great demo video. VRA member too, and I have a 2nd YT channel (I commented/sub'd below, Lotz Home & Office). I liked & sub'd from this channel too. I very much like this pattern, but am having trouble following your instructions when it comes to putting the tab at the bottom and in particular putting on the base. It seems you go too fast (for me) and not close enough detail for adding the long pieces at the bottom. After several tries, I am giving up. Could you PLEASE redo this video with more detail of the parts adding the base. Thank you.

    • @TheCatSlade
      @TheCatSlade  10 месяцев назад

      I apologize for that. I do have a plan to remake this video or at least that part of it for clarity. That made it the hardest part and when I made it the first time I made mistakes in the filming too. I will rectify that asap.
      Thank you for watching and your feedback which is so appreciated and helpful. Happy holidays!

    I couldn't figure out how you put the things that were so posed to go on the bottom to hold the tree together. Wish that you showed that part because I can't figure it out at the moment

      The H shaped piece? Or the bit that wrapped around?

    • @TheCatSlade
      @TheCatSlade  3 года назад +1

      If it's the H shaped bit, I do show up close in my latest video of the ❄️ snowflake pop up card. It goes together in a similar way to this one.

    where do I get the pattern for the cuts to do on cricut explorer 2? Obviously I'm new to this all.

    • @TheCatSlade
      @TheCatSlade  3 года назад +1

      Hi Linda 👋 In Cricut design space you can find this under pop up cards. You can search 🔍 when you start new project. It's a cricut access one ☝️ so it's free if you pay for monthly access. I do as it is so worth it otherwise you have to pay 💰 per project and that would add up fast if you make a lot of things.

    How do you put on the base?

    • @TheCatSlade
      @TheCatSlade  3 года назад

      It was a bit tricky but this was the first one. The snowflake ❄️ video may show it better as I did that one after. The bit that wraps around the tree base really isn't needed and caused me more issues than necessary. ;)

  • @TheBeth1972

    Cant see loads of things, like the way the base is folded etc

    • @TheCatSlade
      @TheCatSlade  Год назад +1

      I apologize for that. This was the first time I made this card and didn’t realize that the camera missed some things. The snowflake ❄️ card has
      A similar base though and I think it shows more of how it’s folded in that video. The biggest thing I learnt was to use a thicker cardstock for the base pop up mechanism 110lb. Lighter card for the tree 65lb. That way it supports being opened many times. The first one o made was very flimsy.

    • @TheBeth1972
      @TheBeth1972 Год назад +1

      @@TheCatSlade i know the camera was off what you were doing a few times but you didnt show in detail lots of the folds etc. Not all of us are experienced . Infor one come to you tube for instructions . Im grateful for people like you who put videos,up but i get frustrated when the bits you need to see get brushed over . Just a thought for future videos x

      👋 It is called Christmas Tree Pop-Up Card.
      If you go to the search bar at the top when you open Cricut access tab, it should be there. It is alas I under "pop up cards"
      It won't show if your machine is selected to the Cricut Joy though.
