This is amazing and the fact you gave the template for free is king behaviour. There are so many online where you have to pay for the template. Legend :))
Many thanks for your kind words. I am very happy that you like my tutorial :)

Peter I think you are a genius and love what ever it is that you make. This pop up card is so beautiful and elegant. ..I loved your tutorial and will have to watch it several times so I can pound it into my head. I'm not a genius like you...sadly. I made one of these following his video. What I did and found most helpful to do, was I would pause the video at each step while I did as he instructed. This I found to be the easy way to do it.
This tree is the most wonderful Christmas card-in-waiting that I have seen in a long, long time! Thank you, Peter, for sharing this video. It is clear, concise and professionally presented; a gem in and of itself. The fact that it is shared gratis, with no sales pitch for anything else, says much about the artist that made it. Thank you once again, Mr Dahmen, Paper Artist Extraordinaire!
So many years after your making of this great tutorial, people like me are finding it. So well done-Thank you for sharing your talent with us all. I hope to make at least one of these . With the coronavirus keeping us all at home, this project is just the thing to keep my day interesting.
Many thanks for your kind words. I am happy that you like my tutorial and I wish you every success and much fun with your own Christmas Tree pop-up card!
Hello Peter! So happy to have found this vid. I cannot give enough praise for your precise and simple instructions; so clear and inviting. Thank you for creating the engineering on this FANTASTIC card design. I am just catching this in Jan 2017 and will have plenty of time to make one for each of my family ... I will be busy!! Thanks again, looking forward to additional paper sculptures from you.
I can't express enough how grateful I am for this tutorial. I sent the card to my girlfriend and her family in the Netherlands and they absolutely loved it! Thank you Peter 👍🏽 It was hard work but it is all worth it in the end 😁
i guess it is kinda randomly asking but does anyone know of a good place to stream newly released tv shows online?
@August Coleman try FlixZone. Just search on google for it :)
Thank you Peter for letting us use your template and for your tutorial. I made my Aunt who has very little sight left your card. I am sure she will love it! She will be able to feel what she cannot see. May God bless you and Merry Christmas!

And your cut out design's are so lace like and are the most beautiful thing's Iv ever seen,it's amazing how they are able to hold their structure with just the right fold line's and slit's to fit together, you are very gifted Peter, thank you for sharing with us.
PS have you ever thought of taking some of these design's and making solid fine lace like sculptures.in small scale, there would be a market for them in this modern world.

I know it's early to be making these (Christmas is about 5 months away lol) but I plan to spend this year's Christmas not worrying about sending a card off too late because I procrastinated too long. You're probably not going to read this, but I wanted to express my thanks for your outstanding designs. I've just made three of these beautiful cards for my grandparents, and I have used some of your other patterns in the past, and I really appreciate that they're free for private use. Thanks!

Very pretty. You should have sissix create dies so we don't have to cut out all the pieces! I love my die cutting machine because my hands hurt when I have to do a lot of cutting. I am going to try to make at least one of these cards though.
This is delightful! Thank you for sharing! Merry Christmas!🎄

Thank you so much for such a beautiful and detailed explanation of this card. I will try to make several for my daughter's teachers. will upload the picture once done. If you have the instructions to do with the cricut, can you please share.
Hi Diana, many thanks for your praise. I am happy that you like my tutorial. With my tutorials I would like to promote the joy of making things yourself. This also includes that the parts are cut out by hand. I ask for your understanding, that I don't share digital files for my tutorials (e.g. svg data for cutting plotters) in general. If you can only duplicate the design using a cutting plotter, then I'm sure you can find a way to convert the parts into svg data yourself. (E.g. by printing the pdf pages and scanning the printouts -> then trace the outlines to create vector data). But I ask you not to put this data online anywhere. Thank you! I wish you every success and much fun with the creation of your own pop-up cards! All the best, Peter
The card is absolutely wonderful. Any chance you could show us an easy but stunning card to make?

I love this projects. Thank you for sharing this and other projects.
The work that you do is astonishing, which result in creations of real splendor. (Thumbs up & Subscribed) ;)
Thank you very much for providing us with this project. I am going to give it a try.
I'm fascinated by pop-ups (including pop up books - I like the surprise element). Also origami & kirigami, as well as the Japanese 360 star books (not sure about the correct name for these books), light boxes, tunnel cards & diaramas. Basically I just love papercraft - so versatile!
I'm curious: do you have a background in engineering or design - or perhaps a bit of both?
Thank you for all the info & tips re glue & paper weight. Re kirigami projects - can you advise re weight of paper / card that should be used and how to cut the paper without tearing it, especially the very fine detail. I struggle with this - it's a lot of work then the paper tears... very frustrating.
I look forward to exploring your channel & website. Thanks again.

really enjoyed this it will be great project for the children for Christmas thank you it is fab
Amazing card! Thank you ! For some reason the last page does not print ?
Thanks for your kind words, I am happy that you like my design. Well, I just tried to print the last page … and I had noproblems printing it. But: actually, the last page only shows a rectangle in the size of 138 x 196 mm. So instead of printing out the page, you can also simply measure a rectangle to the desired dimensions yourself. I wish you every success an dmuch fun with the creation of this pop up card!
Peter amazing pop-up card and tutorial :) Also great video quality and shots :) Talk soon! -Christopher
