Yes!! Actually I was surprised to see there was no snow on the ground or that the grass, the tops of the grass wasn't completely like frozen or heavily frosted over. Still, a good adventure none the less !! 👍🏽👍🏽
Man, oh man, this is awesome cowboy camping. I'm in Arizona, and can just imagine a hundred years ago how a cowboy would wander through and set up camp like in this video. Beautiful perspective from horseback. For food, I'd add beans with the venison (steak), and the eggshells would go in the campfire after a big breakfast... I'd add a little cold water to a boiling pot of coffee to make the coffee grounds sink so they wouldn't pour into my cup. Good stuff, and can't wait for more. Cheers! Pete - KI7LIL
I'm going to use these ideas to go Cowboy camping my way across America on my motorcycle. The mighty Ducati Diavel V4. 😅 I'm strapping all my gear on my steel horse and hitting the road as soon as the snow melts.

relaxing for watching. You did make great video, it is nice to see again, how was before, old west cowboy life with old friend horse and often with dogs
This is what real camping is all about !, I enjoyed this video. You have great camera work. Drounding the fire with water and stirring the ashes good idea, don't want Smokey the Bear after you. I would have brought a blanket for sleeping, but you don't need to bring extra things to weigh you down. Fantastic job !!
My Great grandad worked as a drover from Idaho- Montana- Utah & as far south south as Arizona w/cattle & horses. He walked as a kid up applegate trail & settled w/his family near Cottage Grove, OR. When he was headed home from the south He would draw his pay from bank in Yreaka, Calif in gold coin, he had to be very careful from there home, esp Medford, Grants- Pass. You make a good watch. Looks like you packed very eficantly for your trip. Thanks for your vid
