Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on RUclips, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on RUclips. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on RUclips, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.

How someone can listen to this song and not comment on JPJ’s bass solo during the breakdown - I think he must’ve been listening to a different song to me.
"killing floor" is a metaphor for the floor of a slaughterhouse, where animals (or our loves and relationships) are slaughtered.
Guitarist Howlin' Wolf wrote "Killing Floor" in 1964, and it became a blues standard. Led Zeppelin cited Howlin' Wolf when they wrote The Lemon Song.
The lemon lyrics can be traced to older blues artists like Robert Johnson and Roosevelt Sykes (1930's).
Now that is some cool history. Hopefully I make my way to one of those songs eventually and make that connection
Watch their early live stuff, it was more bluesy. Of course a lot of their early stuff was "borrowed ", like this song. It goes back to 1931 Skip James did Hard Time Killin' Floor Blues, then in 1964 Howlin' Wolf did Killing Floor.
A killing floor is an abatoir to slaughter cattle - Chubby Checker worked in one many years before.

Zep was a blues band basically. The term psychedelic blues is a good way to describe them.
