I 100% agree with your comments on the arrangement clarity. It’s so clean. I think that’s partly because nobody in the band had anything to hide. Each member had so much to bring to each song.

When someone says "this is my favorite LZ song" - no matter what song it is I respect it. Howlin Wolf got composer credit for this song as it's super close to his song "Killing Floor". It's a blues standard & Robert's 1st love was the blues.
I love this song because in a pair of headphones 🎧 you've got John Paul in your left ear absolutely owning this one, Jimmy in your right like a razor cutting in an out echoing Robert, John straight ahead clean yet wild, then Robert over top in that bluesy rock with that sexual overtone he layers on.
I'm glad you loved this one, Rico!
    It's definitely 🔥

It's great to here someone giving John Paul Jones a shout out, I feel he gets overshadowed by the larger personalities in the group. He was definitely the glue that held Zeppelin together, a very talented multi-instrumentalist.

When you say you can "hear everything", the credit goes to Jimmy Page (the lead guitarist). He also produced all their records, and he had an amazing ear for details in the mix. He'd get everything dialed up right so you can hear every single detail of every single instrument without one overpowering the other, which takes time and patience to get right in the studio. But he wanted all the Led Zeppelin records to sound amazing, which they do.

A live version at Earls Court (1975) In My Time Of Dying, Page plays the shit out of a steel guitar & it’s mind blowing. Everything of Led Zeppelin is absolutely amazing though, & you cant go wrong.

Very much enjoyed your take on this great song by LZ. You really soak up what you're hearing. And you clearly enjoy blues rock so I recommend that you take a listen to "You Shook Me" from album 1. It's another of the many blues rock songs LZ did. They were heavily influenced by American blues, although they were also into jazz, folk, rockabilly, soul, even classical music - it all influenced what they produced. Another blues rock song I think you'd enjoy is "I Can't Quit You Baby" and a soul tune, "Baby Come on Home". If you want to watch them perform those two songs live and early in their career (raw and before all the glitz), look for the 1970 Royal Albert Hall concert versions. Edit: Just subbed and looking forward to hearing more from you. I hope it doesn't take a few months for you to get around to your next LZ reaction. ;)

It kills me when those sections of the song get labeled "solos". Man, Bonham is schooling you on drums and Jones is "going ham" on the bass while Jimmy puts some stank on the guitar. All "solo" means is that plant was playing tambourine or harmonica instead of his larynx.
