Thank You for going thru the trouble of making this, just want I wanted for my A8
You are welcome. Thanks for watching
I myself learned how to do it by following Eversolo's manual. But your tutorial is very good. It's a pity I didn't see it before. Thank you very much for the help.
In the end I wasn't convinced by the sound obtained using the DSP with REW. But there are a lot of people who will be fine with it. Thanks
Thanks. I had the same struggle as you and decided to make this video for other Eversolo users.
Exactly what I was looking for
Glad that you found it useful.
This is exciting. I am working with a 10x10 foot room. After I add a bit of sound absorption I am definitely going to try this.
Square rooms will tend to have difficult room nodes. Let us know how it goes
Excellent!
Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Very very usefull your video fro Eversolo users...we waiting for your next video with the EQ new settings and tips!!!!
Thanks 😁 That’s in the pipeline. Subscribe and check out my other videos in the meantime
Fantastic video. Very well made. At Target settings - you selected full range speakers. Although I have proper 3 way speakers, I have dual subs (2.2 setup). So should I select Bass Limited speaker and set the cut off at around 40 or 50 Hz? The subs themseleves have room correction software (ARC). so I am doubly confused as to how to go about it.
Hi thanks for watching. There are few ways to do this, I’d suggest to run ARC on the subwoofers on their own then REW selecting full range and measure the speaker and subwoofer combined. Or same as above but without ARC on the subwoofer (so you skip one layer of processing). You can try both and see which you prefer.
one other question. How do i do this with one subwoffer? being that the A8 uses a left and right chanel?
Hi you can calibrate left and right channel separately with the subwoofer connected as usual. You can check the calibration results by running measurements again with the filters on.
Can it be done with the a6?
As far as I know, you can connect the A6 to a computer using the USB-C and link up with the microphone and run REW but the filters can’t be imported to A6. You can use the PEQ settings in the A6 to adjust the equalizer manually
@@Hifihobby thanks!!
well i think the big question is... was it worth it? is there an improve in sound?
Yes definitely so for a cost of ~$100. Most obvious benefit is control of bass modes, which in some rooms are very bad and require lots of huge bass traps to control. You can use it to tune the sound characteristics of your system (eg too bright or too warm) to however you prefer and the result is highly transparent.
