I have had this DAC/AMP for the past week. I havent found a DAC/AMP combo with these features and power from any other manufacturer for this price so i was pretty much forced to pull the trigger on this. I have it paired with Beyerdynamic DT1990pro 250ohm and the single ended headphone out is more than capable of driving these headphones. And as a monitor setup i have (currently) a simple audio pro sub and Adam Audio P11A studio monitors. When i get to upgrade my sub to one with balanced inputs/outputs i can have the benefit of this system having the balanced outputs at the back.
While the dl200 will drive them ok in single ended mode, they will probably only really come to life with the additional power provided by the balanced out. That said, I have not used the single out of the DL200 for more than half an hour yet and will either stick with low impedance headphones or run my 250+ ones from the balanced out. I've played with it as a dac feeding into my much higher end amp and was not overly impressed. That said, I got it as a stand alone box for the living room and it's great for that. I much prefer the sound over what I got from a K7 I borrowed from a mate for a few days and concur with the reviewer that (at least to my ears) it beats the WIIM Pro hands down. Anyway, so much Chi-Fi stuff available these days there's something for everyone. Golden times!
I have to say these Chinese manufacturers and especially SMSL are killing it on the design part, this device looks premium considering its price, there's also the performance and features which is all you would ever need from a DAC imo, truly a bargain. Mine's on the way, can't wait to get it.

Yamaha c Pioneer показали как могут звучать , удивлен, честно.Сейчас думаю приобрести smsl d400 es , но к сожалению не нашел вашего обзора на него.У smsl dl200 блютуз 5.1, а у d400 по моему 5.0., Хотел у Вас узнать именно по блютузу он будет лучше звучать чем dl200? Would this DAC be a good solution to connect via USB to a laptop and pair it with the SMSL SH-6 to drive my Drop+Hifiman HE-X4 headphones, JBL LSR305 monitors and a BIC F12 powered sub? The idea is laptop usb to dac, dac trs to monitors, dac rca out to sh-6 amp to power headphones that need 25ohm & 91 dB/mW (DL200 only 16ohm) and send a single rca out signal to LFE on the sub with onboard crossover. Or is there a cheaper Dac out there that can do the same for less?
hello! i searched all over the internet and no one mentions how a dac-amp would drive studio monitors and to what volume. i don't listen through headphones but a want a dac with a volume knob to drive my active jbl lsr305 studio monitors. i have a focusrite scarlett 2i2 but a need optical input to produce sound from my tv to my speakers so i am considering buying a dac-amp. so my question is. How much power this dac will give to my studio monitors? will it have a weak volume output compared to an audio interface that i am using right now? thank you!

Bluetooth is ok, 4.4mm balanced headphone out is neutral sound with good power.

That is the purpose of this DAC so you can easily use it for you need.

My DAC used with Bluetooth switch off himself after some minutes. Bad quality product!
Try factory reset or update the firmware.
Well you can't update the fw. The DAC is dead.
I love SMSL but won't touch this unit because it supports MQA.
