@@Hifihobby Yes. The FM scale in Japan covers nearly none of the western FM frequencies. AM and Shortwave are universal in most cases.

I saved both calibration files. The 90 deg file is for home theater with mic facing up. You should measure individually as the adjustments are separate for each channel.

Agreed, i live in UK but i do shopping from amazon jp as these cables are also available online. Here it is crazy expensive, 3 times more easily….

The big number is the price including tax. Just below and left of it is the price before tax. If I’m not mistaken the top right is the price when new.

The built in Eversolo room correction is easier to use but doesn’t allow you to upload the target curve and has limited range. I have another video on using the built in system

Many people have upgraded the LPS for the A6 and this is rather new for the A8. There’s no need for the upgrade if you are not comfortable with it.

There’s no driver for the microphone.

@@Hifihobby My phone microphone appears (on my phone Eversolo app) but not on the DMP-A8 itself .. And the umik-1 does not appear on my phone or on my DMP-A8. On my dmp-A8, a message appears "no microphone found"

Does it work when you connect to the phone and you use the Eversolo app? Did you connect to the correct USB input ? Is there light on the mic to indicate it’s connected?

You’re welcome. Share your findings after trying out the Eversolo Room Correction. I got better results using REW (video guide on my channel) so you might want to give that a try as well

@@Hifihobby Used the room correction to set up four settings: 1) full frequency at listening chair, 2) low frequency at listening chair, 3) full frequency at desk, and 4) low frequency at desk. The listening chair was sort of optimized by randomly moving around the speakers. But the room correction helped bring out details. Didn't really like the full-range room correction, changed the feel of the speakers too much. But the low-frequency correction was really eye (or ear) opening. Like you say, it's sort of hard to see on the Eversolo screen, but there were big 10db bumps in the bass response before correction. The room correction smoothed them out quite a bit. At the desk (which is not in an optimized position), it was like night and day before and after correction. Really thankful for that as I sit more often at the desk than in the dedicated listening chair. It sounds so much clearer. It was surprising how the "flat" frequency response sounds off. I had always thought that was the holy grail. Applying a bit of the bass boost like you showed helped. Instead of +4db, I went with +2.5db. But it's only been a day, I'll keep playing around with it in the coming weeks. For sure have watched your helpful REW video already. Will give that a shot in a few weeks. But for now going to try experimenting with the Eversolo built-in capabilities. I also like how it's easy to toggle the DSP on and off and if I'm moving from the desk to the listening chair, it's easy just to hit one button. After being in this hobby for over thirty years, and spending hours moving things around, researching capacitor or speaker wire upgrades, I don't believe that I didn't give DSP a try earlier!! This is a huge tool. Thanks again for the video, I would have been lost without it. Without it I would have probably used the room correction to flatten everything and thought it was broken because the flat curve really sounds wrong for some reason.

@edwinwong9547 Great to hear that you found the video helpful. My preference is to optimize the speaker placement first then the room correction to just for final correction of bass. You can also give a try for the REW as well, it gives far more information and you can upload the target curves. Let me know how it goes 👍🏼

Have not had a chance to do a side by side comparison with the A10 yet

Hmmm so far I don’t get this issue: any idea what caused it?

Update: I did the factory reset. Ran a straight spectrum using only my main speakers. Worked fine. When I added my Subs back in it started crashing again. So it's fine I can run without the subs included and then do the freq spectrums on them individually.

Yes you can connect the computer to the USB input on the Eversolo

It’s a messy job because you basically have to remove all the circuit boards. I’m now using isolation feet below the Eversolo and it woking well

The feet are screwn from the inside of the A8? No way to remove the rubber layer underneath the feet? That's a pity. I don't understand why manufactures don't spend these 3-5 € more to install proper aluminum feet...

@KurtKugler-f2x I tried to remove the rubber part of the feet but was not able to do so easily and was afraid of damaging it.

@@Hifihobby I heard in a review yesterday that those feet are made from metal. I will inspect that, when my A8 finally arrived.

Yes they are metal with a rubber on the base.

the thinf about these hifi fever is. equalizing them thru these scientific equipments. but you can achieve all these thru EQUALIZER AND PROCESSORS.

If you want to do that way you can run DSP like REW and adjust the frequency response to your preference.
