No setups wowed me at this show. The better ones would be the Gryphon room and Magico room. But they were not setup to its fullest potential. Worst rooms are the Audiovector and Dynaudio ones. I vote the Dynaudio as the worst value and worst sound of the show. Got the 2 day pass and won't bother coming back today.

A mismatched speaker cable can act as a passive equalizer. Other than that cables are mostly audibly transparent. Or more to the point, most basic pro cables used correctly (correct length, capacitance and inductance) are audibly transparent

Whatever the signal, mic recordings never showed more thank 0.1% difference... Immensely under humain hearing capacities, and ridiculous compared to difference made by the room and acoustics parameters (some dizains of %) of sound difference.

In my experience cables make a difference. For me, it’s hearing details or not and how do those details differ between the cables used. It’s subtle sometimes, and dramatic others.

Sure, a cable presents something in the way of a perfect transmission of the signal. But is it significant? Can someone notice a one millionth difference? One thousandth difference over another cable? Rhe demonstration was not double blind. He suggested differences. Leading the audience. "Made with care and attention." Irrelevant. "We know it's going to sound better." Why? Magnetic fields are not conductivity. ""Interaction" Magnetic field Interaction is not electrical interference. He keeps referencing the build as proof of performance. "Choking." How much? One millionth? I'd like to see the techs use thick wire without telling anyone. Think people including the presenter would notice? Frankly, this is an ad without any reference to the physics behind any claim.

Without a frequency response chart showing the differences in sound I am not a believer. Setup a microphone and measure the response from the speakers for each cable change if you are sure there is a difference. And all sounds tests should be made in a double blind test format.

Absolutely. Just a shame how much they cost. I absolutely love comparing cables. I feel like the industry purposely throws it out to the consumers that cables don’t matter because if people were to start with clean power and good cables right off the bat, people would enjoy their systems much much more and wouldn’t be buying new things to try out.

From my past 30 plus years in Home Video Audio technical support. I can said majority of those HiFi/Video enthusiasts are spending more money on equipment devices rather than acoustics room treatment and most of them have none acoustics treatments at all. A set of 50K HiFi set without any treatment in the environment full of marble floor in big hall with barely any curtains or furniture on the wall sound worst than a decent 10k HiFi set with good room acoustic treatment will beat them all……..these is sad but is realistic !!
