    Awesome 'how to' video of an awesome conversion. Saw one of these (without the how to bit) that was made ten almost ten years ago... yet GW still hasn't produced a new Chimera boxed set to accommodate this option in all that time.
    Seriously, all they needed to do was redesign the top section to provide it in three parts with the front and back edges of the rear hatches located on the front and rear parts. You could add the 'middle' section for a front mounted turret, or leave it out for the center mounted turret option.
    Obviously, the kit would require the rear hatches to come in two options, long and short, and a set of top hatches for the exposed front section left by the center mounted turret option, but it would be doable. They could even toss in some other turret mounted weapon options. And given how much GW charges for these things now, it would make sense.
    Still, rumor has it GW is finally going to release some new IG stuff later this year (2022), maybe even some plastic kasrkin we all wanted back in 2014. And the company is all about supplying product at affordable prices for their customers to participate in the hobby and not just maximizing profit for the least investment (that was sarcasm), who knows? It could happen.
    Until then, at least we have this tutorial. Simple, clear instructions with some ideas to tidy it up, and a single color paint job to help us see the finished conversion. Nice. Well done, that man.

      @jamst123  2 года назад +1

      Thankyou mate. Yeah I agree things need some updating but the last 2 years has been massive for new releases so hopefully they continue that trend into IG

      @@jamst123 Nice to see something from GW, but a decade is a long time between drinks, and (combined with the massive cost increases) it's cost them a lot of customers.
      Simple product adaptations, at the right time, and reasonable prices, can help expand a market, but when the market includes a hobby aspect, its even more important. Games work best when there are lots of us.
      You have the skills so should get real converty and make a demo model of the idea I suggested, then contact GW with the images and see if they don't feel compelled to steal the idea and put it into production. They could even name the alternate central-turret pattern version after you. Nice.
