Much like a group of rhinos is called a crash and a group of seagulls is called a flock, a group of psykers should absolutely be called a concentration.
The 2nd super heavy could have been the last thing loaded onto a transparent as the 50th evacuated a planet. It hadn't even been painted, just rolled off the assembly line and started fighting. It and its valiant crew were adopted by the 50th for their efforts in protecting the withdrawal.
I started building 10,000 points of deathwatch a year ago as my first 40k army... like 60-70% built not painted.. Doesn't look like ill get to make a video like this for my Deathwatch.. $5000 into an army that is getting folded.. No idea what im doing now... Your guards look amazing and look so good in formation on the table.
@@Fisthammet I actually decided i am going to Mix in a Blood Angels like theme with how they genetically modify marines to get them the red thirst and such, So you are not far off with the Chaos Marines comment.. They wont be loyalists any more but not full Chaos either. They took their Xenos research too far and started genetically modifying rats and tyranids together to make a super species to wipe out chaos and other xenos armies, But the research is so heretical that Imperial factions are trying to eliminate me and my research as well. I have 3 skaventide boxes to ill bring skaven into 40k using Tyranid rules, 120 clan rats is 120 hormagaunts ect.. instead of being black armor with a silver arm for deathwatch illl mix in more of the red and have a golden left DW pauldron and arm so it looks like a unique army and not like deathwatch. Rule wise for my army, for legal lists ill run blood angels, or from time to time swap out characters to play ultramarines and imperial fists, and when im not playing legal lists ill run Index Deathwatch to use all my kill teams.
Man I've always been all about collecting your army with the lore in mind and giving ewch unit its own story. Your army is amazing man GLORY TO THE 50TH
The Baneblade got its track blown off. The crew used it as a bunker. For weeks they defended the tank from inside until ammo went out. A kroot hunting Group found it and desperatly tried to get into it. But with the light armor they did not make it. They sent for heavy support of their Tau leaders. When some crisis suits came to support this was the moment when 2nd platoon of 2nd company found the scene and fought off the kroot and suits. Cut off of their unit of origin the baneblade crew decided to join the 50th rifle and support it. Since then guys from 2nd/2nd always get a ride on the baneblade. Some lore ideas. 🫡
As far as the origin of the Superheavies, how about this: The Mordian 50th Rifles was sent to a planet to defend it from Chaos (perhaps the original Doom of Thanatos Campaign?). The original Superheavy for the Mordian 50th was the Pride of Moridan, which came into the 50th's possession as a scrap of a regiment that was otherwise destroyed (or maybe a Dorn or two were also acquired). Maybe the Inquisitor pulled strings. During the next big campaign against Chaos (the most recent Thanatos?) the Pride of Mordian got into a terrible one-on-one battle with a Chaos Superheavy. Over an extended battle, the two behemoths launched shell after shell against one another, ripped each other apart with lascanons and meltas (and maybe a cheeky heavy stubber got a lucky hit). But the Pride of Mordian won the day. The 50th salvaged the Chaos superheavy and re-consecrated it, as you described. The name of the formerly Chaos superheavy is Redemption, Phoenix, Prodigal Son, or Conquest Over Heretics, or something like that.
I'm sorry, I am just now getting around to watching this video! OUTSTANDING collection! The enemy soldier strapped to the dozer blade made me belly laugh when I noticed it!!! I am going to join your channel now.
I would argue that their loyalty has been tested to breaking so many times but has passed with flying colours every time. They have been given special dispensation that allows the 50th to become a combined arms regiment (which as you know is very rare!) Prob down to a good word put in by the inquisitor who leads that unkillable henchman squad that Simon hates so much!
4:54 5 TIMES ATTACKED, AND THEN 5 TIMES REPELLED AT THE SIXTH TIME THEY MANAGED TO BREAK THE LINE! (I thought the song fit quite well for the battle) "Devil Dogs" -Sabaton
As for the non-exorcized Baneblade, maybe it was reclaimed by the Mordian 50th Rifles (or rather, the tech-savants attached to them) after it was hit by a couple of railgun shots from a squadron of Hammerheads. The shots didn't destroy the vehicle itself but reduced its crew to so much paste. After getting most of the crew out of the walls and control panels and bringing its wrothful machine spirits back online, the Mordian 50th Rifles brought the steel behemoth's considerable firepower against its would-be executioners, who had their backs turned to it as they sniped away at the rest of the Imperial armour.
Be very interested in seeing your other armies. Mighty impressive force and cannon as well. It takes passion to do something like that. Got nowhere near the numbers/forces in any one of my armies. But maybe one day in the distant future. I'll have some like you Guard force for 40K. Also. Got the new Sharpe book on wishlist. Loved watching the Sharpe series and listened to a few of the audiobooks too.
Amazing collection of guard nicely done 🫡👍🍻thanks for sharing … please display and share your other collections as this is another source of hobby motivation… keep the videos coming👍🍻
2:37 "Safe to say the Mordians have a particular hatred for the Tau Xenos." 😂 Translation, my brother spent years whupping me with his Tau 😂. Also, like a true guardsmen, the truth at the end, "oh and then there's a steel legion army of about the same size 😂😂"
wow , requisition of stores would be a nightmare for this regiment 1) Baneblades were recovered from damaged / abandoned on field of battle with Nids 2) Baneblades were recover recaptured from fleeing Tau
Also I loved this video so much. Love the combination of gaming, hobbying, and lore develop. It's what this is all about for me. Any more you can do like this would be much appreciated!
This is so fun! This reinvigorates me to deepen my lore for my Guard army. That's the whole reason my RUclips name is Storehouse-805. That is the name oof the planet that my guard come from!
Truly an inspiring army ! But have your HWT not been rebased to 40mm, like your sentinel ones have been enlarged? Lot of work, I know it from experience... and with DKoK and Catachans taking the spotlight, not a pressing necessity.
The older ones often just don't fit on the new 50mm bases, the Catachan HWS come with 60mm bases still because of this. Technically they're both valid sizes for the unit.
Much like a group of rhinos is called a crash and a group of seagulls is called a flock, a group of psykers should absolutely be called a concentration.

Philmore Graves!
How many of them are bald and/or have slightly purple skin.... and maybe a third arm?
glorious!
Wow thats a nice kill team. Show off your steel legion.
But Mordian Glory, what about the penitent crudade, imposed on the 50th for using too many psykers? Has it been completed? Or retconned?
My son is playing black templar against my guard, I would love to see your templar on display!
I notice you didn't volunteer to show off your Tau army. 😉
