The LAPG Atlas is probably the best plate carrier in this price range for all of the features that it has. these come in at around $80 or so when they are not on sale and around $60 on a good day. Laser cut molle webbing on all sides, front and back, and all over the cummerbund. without anything attached to the PC it weighs around 37oz on my scale which is only slightly more than some more minimalist slick style carriers. I have been using it with level 4 plates in front and back, clean sides, and a triple mag pouch up front.

LAPG is a company that is often overlooked. I bought many things from them for many years and have never had a problem.
3 things. The hair is kicking bro getting long. Botach battle steel brand makes a $50 vest (the multi-cam is made in Condor facility ;)) = 2nd best value to the ATLAS. One day the Algorithm is going to shine and this channel is going to experience huge growth. Thanks bro!

We need to share the channel. There's a lot of great content and we'll produced. I think the problem is all these rich youtubers are putting shit on their channels most people can't afford and they like seeing that stuff. But realistically the stuff here is products most people can actually afford. So why not watch vids about stuff you can afford rather than shit some will never afford? Lol it's great that DR can get awesome shit... but I can't afford half the shit he owns. So I come here and look at stuff I can afford so I know whether I should buy it or not.

From the GrovTec Slings, to Leapers UTG optics (1-8 SFP w/ accu-sync mount my fav bargain), to AR-15 uppers giveaways, to great intro segments presumably recorded by his wife. Yeah I concur this dude is much unvalued as a content creator.
I do love the editing and filming of this channel. The info is good. The gear reminds me 704 tactical reviews but much higher video quality.
The gear is airsoft to lower quality. As in the "excellent" lapg carrier. Its not excellent. Its decent. Since most people will have this sitting in their closet more than training in it, it works. It may turn off people though because wearing a lower quality carrier is drastically different than spending more on a jpc or equivalent.
@@ETuss713 I watch 704 Tactical and you are spot on about airsoft quality mostly. JPC's like Crye are about 3 times the price and more modular like adding a pack etc.. Agreed most sit in closets and will never take a live round (should SHTF) and is why as a rule of thumb always know what actual purpose and use someone will have for any "tool" before offering suggestions. That being said I thought it was a solid review on a ultra budget carrier. Godspeed my friend.

Good content... IMHO: just always so difficult to watch - the exposure & lighting is so dark (especially for black items) and cannot see details as shadows are blacked out.

I love the carrier.
That was my first plate carrier style many many moons ago. I've used them since the army. My favorite PC is the @Javlin Concepts AJac. Their setup stands out by having the plates load from the top instead of from the standard bottom loading. They're not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. Definitely well worth the investment. They also offer all kind of different products. I really liked this one brother! This subject is near and dear! 😂 Keep on keeping on Brother 🇺🇸🤘🏼

Pretty much a laser cut version of the old gen Banshee. Looks solid. I wish these were around a few months ago when I bought plates. Would have saved me $80-100

@@coyote.precision.tactical as long as it’ll take being mounted to a plate carrier and not fall apart I’ll be good. I mainly want it to hold a stripped down MRE, a hydration bladder and some maps of my AO.

I really like the way you can multi task the pockets on the front of the vest.
I'm actually gonna be buying this for work. I'm a school guardian and this would be something breathable , light and have protection at the same time
well protection comes from the plates, but I think it is a great budget option.

I’m looking for my first carrier for civilian use. Really just for if shit hits the fan. My knowledge of what makes a good plate carrier is extremely limited 😂 but this looks good enough for me. I would imagine comfortable shoulder straps are probably top of the list. Vented cummerbund would be nice but in hopes I never have to use it.. I guess I don’t really care. Definitely will practice with it tho. Thanks a lot! I will most likely buy this.

Just picked up my La police gear atlas, with battle strike level 4 plates, and Hrt Maximus placard. Super glad to hear it holds up in the PNW the rain and wet out here is usually unaccounted for on a lot of gear

I like it, if you want even more minimalistic setup you can get their low-vis cummerbund for like$15 and they have their low-vis pc in stock for like $70.

I have the atlas carrier however i bought a chest rig and not really sure how to mount it on.... also i bought a quick release for the cummerbund.. man its nice not having to mess with the velcro every time
You will probably have to add buckles to hook it up to the atlas.
@@FocusTrippi just dont get why they wouldnt have that already. I feel kinda like a noob buying it now. After u buy things like quick relase tabs and a chest rig u coulda had like a legit one. But i love lapgs other stuff. The molle also doesnt look too rugid. But il probably never need to wear it anyway... deff a impulse buy

I love lapg. Check out their stealth sling or backpack... they litterally are some of the most thought out packs iv ever had. I have viktos and 5.11 but the lapg stealth (sling is on salenfor 45) it has so many hidden compartments... ex the waterbottle spots on both side have hidden pull chords underneath i just found and have even more storage also its nice lile i always have like a molle pouch i put on other bags straps to put stuff i want right on me for like ear buds, or flashlight/phone/knife. It has it already built in... its like a greyman bag but.. if u want molle the whole back of the pack pulls out and tuxks in, revealing a full molle pannel. Has ykk zippers, spot for a ccw hidden compartment, also, spot for laptop and a body armor if u want to weigh it down... also, a bonus bottle opener on one of the zippers lol. This is on top of all normal features... i mean$45! O and hyddation ready of coarse

If you run an admin pouch off the cummerbund velcro under the placard, the little flap will act as a second cover for it, assuming it has a velcro patch.
something that small would be hard to get to with the plate carrier on though.

LAPG has some great plates. I don't have one of their carriers but I do have a pair of their Level III plates that are at least III+

Im like 5'10 and 155lbs and i for some reason have a hell of time fitting in these 1 size fits most.
I have 3 different budget oriented ones very similar to this and they all run just a smidge to big on me.
Drives me nuts.

Wish I’d watched before purchasing one, I live in southeast Texas. This carrier is a fantastic value but it lack of breath ability makes it uncomfortable in our humidity.
gotcha, you can purchase aftermarket spacers to increase airflow but at that point you might as well have another carrier.
