He who has ears let him hear. If we as believers don’t realize that these musicians have demonic music we must question whether we have spiritual ears. Let’s not be carnal believers which can be tough but we must go to God for understanding. Let’s also not be religious and just follow what she is saying just because but get understanding because her words are true but let’s not blindly follow because that leads to a spirit of condemnation which I dealt with from blindly following other people of God.
There's really good gospel music in various genres; I would suggest checking out Gospel Hydration channel. I love afro beats artists who honor God in Spirit and in Truth; Also the Boost (Hip Hop) and Joy FM (modern praise and worship) app has good praise and worship music. There's really no reason to listen to secular music when there's so much excellent music that honors God in this season.
Amen. I really like to focus on Christian instrumentals. Especially while at work or completing house chores. Yoni Charis, DappyTKeys, Titus Major, HeavensSoundViolinWorship, David'sHarpSound.
This is confirmation. This morning God had me delete ALL of my secular playlists off Spotify so now all that's left is my Christian and Spanish Worship playlists. Then I found this video this afternoon. God is truly amazing and only tells us to do what is best for us.
Girl, these words be for me! I’m literally in the car… cut on the local radio (which I never do). They’re playing throwback (2007-10) hits. I’m like “so we really only gone talk about sex, drugs, murder?” I am a music head! Love R&B, hip hop, pop… but I can’t listen in peace now.
I may be months late but God lead me to your channel. I've been feeling so much conviction in the past few months to cut off secular music, I may even have to cut off my Spotify altogether. I'm finding it very hard to do so but slowly I've been deleting playlists and songs but today I'm going to have to go all the way, God is calling us deeper.
Those lyrics broke my heart ... mostly for the artists. By the time you write such things and unapologetically release them ... there must be a lot seriously wrong behind closed doors. Thank you for sharing LaLa!

I thank God for His Holy word leading, guiding & directing us all who are called according to His purpose. I thank God for you La La bringing the words that the various musicians say in the music, I too usually listen to the beat along with the words but I never knew how terrible some of the lyrics are. I thank God through Jesus Christ for being long suffering not wanting any to perish but to come to repentance. Glory be to God.
I love Isaiah Salvador. And thanks for putting me on to Robert Clancy...whew. There's such a woe in spirit for the world. I'm interceding for souls that they will be enlightened with dark and saved. I don’t like newer hip hop but I’m not innocent for liking old school hip hop either I’m trying to let it go and I know God has been convicting me about it. I love the beats has RZA done and DJ Premier etc. but I know there’s a spirit attached to that sound as well. I wish I could make beats for God and artists who’ll spread his message but when I make something that sounds like Wu I know it’s not really in the mindset of sharing the Gospel.
I’ve revamped my Apple Music and took it all out. But then I found Marcus Rogers Christian Rap and I realllllllyyyy hope it’s okay because it helps with my gym time 🥲. Any recommendations for more gym Christian music?
may i ask about artists like Caleb Gordon and Alex Jean? They are christian rap artists using their gifts to glorify God. I listen to them while I workout. Even though the glorify God, can it still be wrong since they do rap?
I'm glad you mentioned Beyonce because her riding those horses for her new album represented the four horsemen of Revelations ( I saw it on Facebook and there are RUclips Videos about it).

The origins of hip hop that discover, last year made a lot of sense what happen if you don’t get what I’m saying take your time to look from the beginning to some where late 80s to early 90s. I knew something was wrong what happen to hip hop most especially the lyrics I couldn’t put my finger to until last year I said bingooooooo the devil walk right in change everything it’s even worst even more worst. I haven’t listen to hip hop for a long time and trust me I’m not bothering myself of today hip hop. 11:13 cardi B I don’t know but something bout her …… pray for her
7:54 I remember listening to it …..to be honest what Bigge wrote in there I felt it he was very honest that not Good at allllll he already knew where he was going
Well Kirk Franklin was the one that introduced to the Gospel World. The saying was they did it to attract the youth. Well it worked for a small bit of time but the some not all are right back to listen to want they call Trap rap music.
Hey @lalajenkins I love your videos I've literally been watching all of them back to bed and you've been speaking! I'm curious though when you read the messages from God is that something that you wrote down yourself or are you reading that from a book ?
I just discovered your channel and was intrigued. Throughout scriptures when we are warned not to do something, God always provide an alternative. I got it. No hip-hop, but what is God telling you we should listen to? What do you say about Christian Hip-Hop?
Is God against the early days of Hip Hop in the 1980s when a lot of the songs were positive, political, or clean party music, before it turned demonic in the 1990s with gangster rap and all the lyrics you read?
Peace and blessings to you Lala. You are beautiful inside and out and also God sent. Just started watching your videos 2/3 weeks ago Thank you for your encouragements. Stay blessed and hopw to see you in the Rapture soon .😊❤
God has allowed me to discern music that is not pleasing to Him. Watch my words, what I hear and what I allowed to go through my ears. He has spoken to me that the next man I become intimate with will be my Husband. I'm doing the work and putting him first. I. Learning modesty, and I'm a firm believer that concealed sexy is still sexy.
Thank you for this message! I have a question because since I watched this video I basically have to clear out my whole music library lol. Can you share some of the music you listen to besides gospel music?
I had to clear out my library too. 😩 But I’ve actually found some really dope gospel music artists! My friend sent me one of her gospel playlists and I’ve been listening to it on repeat! There’s artists like Zoe Music, Evan and Eris, Isla Vista Worship and Jor’dan Armstrong on it! I’ve also been listening to Kieran the Light’s Forgiven Music album TOUGH! If you send me a DM on IG (@LaLa_Jenkins).. I will share the playlist!
Once I finally started giving my life to Christ and letting him be in the driver’s seat, hip hop has not even been on my radar to listen to. The words kinda shock my system or make me feel uneasy when I happen to hear it now. Including R&B, I don’t listen to summer walker or a couple other artists anymore because the music just gives unclean energy
LaLa, Thank you for speaking on this topic that is sooo important. Do you have recommendations of musicians or artists that you would say are okay to listen to and that align with God? Any recommendations on Christian hip hop for example?
I’ve been listening to Kieran the Light, Bryann T and Antwoine Hill lately! I also just came across Christopher Syncere yesterday! I’ve only listened to one song though but it was 🔥. Just be careful with Christian rap (and gospel music actually) though. Make sure the lyrics are biblical sound (align with the Word of God) and pay attention to your Spirit as you’re listening.
What about secular ppl that did Christian music... Can i still listen to Kanyes Jesus is King "all we need". What about "Soul anchor" from Kanye West the whole Song only uses scripture
Will you please pray for my best friend, I don’t want to put her name out here but I trust He knows who she is, that’s a hard thing for her to understand and I tried to tell her and she was like…I don’t agree.😫.
To La La: What about Christian hip hop? Suppose you're singing about God and edifying the body of Christ? Can you respond to these questions? Thank you.
You aren't real!!! I love you so I'm learning from you. I also was a youngster in hop hop. I find myself letting it go to. Whew it's a Lil strange but with the help of God I'll be ok!!!
i would like to know your stance on tattoos i feel a lot of people are being deceived by them the practice of tattoos came from the pagans and yet people still to to justify why getting them isn’t a sin when it’s clearly stated in the bible that it’s forbidden.. great vids btw
Thanks for watching! And honestly God hasn’t spoke to me about tattoos yet. I don’t have any and don’t plan to get any. But I haven’t read in the Word where it references them. Can you point me to the scriptures? So I can go study. And I’ll speak on it when/if the Lord leads.
@@LaLaJenkins sure, the most common verse that prohibits tattoos comes from Leviticus 19:28 “Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the Lord.” the bible also states that our bodies is the temple of the holy spirit 1 Corinthians 6:19 “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own” & 1 Corinthians 3:17 “If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” as far as the practice of tattoos by the pagans 1 Kings talks about this 1 Kings 18:28 “And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.” there’s more scriptures that talk about this but i feel these are important to read for anyone who is considering getting a tattoo after all tattoos are a popular thing in society and the bible tells us not to be a friend of the world.
It's crazy that i wanted to be an hip hop artist and heavy listening to rap i have slowly stopped listening to it or wanted to be an artist no more God knows best
@@LaLaJenkins thank you, that's a good way to define what is acceptable to the Lord "biblically sound Christian rap." I notice some of the Christian rap isn't biblically sound with all their lyrics.
I used to love Kendrick Lamar because he used to say he wouldn't be were he is without jesus as his Lord and Saviour at live shows. He added the sinners prayer at the end of his debut Album trying to win over unbelievers. Had acsong called faith that resonated with me. BUT i feel like he switched up on me and is no longer christian, so i had to Cut him off because He is not my Saviour.
Yes these genres and these songs are not of God. I used to listen heavily to modern rap artists for instances XXXTenaction. The name alone is grieving he literally took the XXX from you know what and tentaction mean temptation. The due definitely had done some very demonic stuff, it’s sad to see that he died so young. I’m glad God pulled me out of listening to these types of artists, even before I was saved in I got into new age which actually helped me to understand that what you consume and what you watch matters. It wasn’t Godly things I was listening to, but I’m glad that I came across stuff like that because it did help me realize the fruit of these artists. It’s right in front of our face, worldly hip hop and music is influenced by unclean spirits.
i was obsessed with the same artist, and I even listened to one of his songs called “i spoke to the devil in miami, he said everything would be fine” in which he explicitly surrendered to Satan. i’m a living testimony of God’s faithfulness because He helped me wipe out all my secular playlists last year, and now I only listen to Christian music from many different genres 🤍
He who has ears let him hear. If we as believers don’t realize that these musicians have demonic music we must question whether we have spiritual ears.
Those lyrics Omgggggg wow just didn’t even know
I’ve revamped my Apple Music and took it all out. But then I found Marcus Rogers Christian Rap and I realllllllyyyy hope it’s okay because it helps with my gym time 🥲. Any recommendations for more gym Christian music?
It's so crazy, I knew you would bring that song Suicidal thoughts by Biggie up smh lol. But great video overall keep letting Yah use you. ✌🏾❤️🙏🏾
may i ask about artists like Caleb Gordon and Alex Jean? They are christian rap artists using their gifts to glorify God. I listen to them while I workout. Even though the glorify God, can it still be wrong since they do rap?
I'm glad you mentioned Beyonce because her riding those horses for her new album represented the four horsemen of Revelations ( I saw it on Facebook and there are RUclips Videos about it).
I’m not surprised. Please start interceding for her. 🙏🏽 (I’m doing the same)
So now we can't ride horses. Got it.

Not just hip hop music any music that goes against his word. Our culture is wide spread, we listen to rock, r&b, trap, ragge, and so on. Jesus saves 🙏🏿
So...what's music to replace it? I can't only listen to praise and worship.
Wow! This video is deep! Amen to everything you said. 💕

Wow those lyrics thanks lala ❤❤❤
I always thought lyrics like these were a cry for help. Thinking that they only deserve bad things, but could it boosting or bragging about being bad?
Commenting to boost this video because honey this was SPOT ON.

11:13 cardi B I don’t know but something bout her …… pray for her
Amen thank you father
Amen
7:54 I remember listening to it …..to be honest what Bigge wrote in there I felt it he was very honest that not Good at allllll he already knew where he was going
Well Kirk Franklin was the one that introduced to the Gospel World. The saying was they did it to attract the youth. Well it worked for a small bit of time but the some not all are right back to listen to want they call Trap rap music.
Speak the truth!!!!
I listen to a lot of gospel rap i think God wants us to pay attention to the lyrics not stop listening to the entire genre
Thanks for this 💎

AMEN❤
Hey @lalajenkins I love your videos I've literally been watching all of them back to bed and you've been speaking! I'm curious though when you read the messages from God is that something that you wrote down yourself or are you reading that from a book ?
I just discovered your channel and was intrigued. Throughout scriptures when we are warned not to do something, God always provide an alternative. I got it. No hip-hop, but what is God telling you we should listen to? What do you say about Christian Hip-Hop?
I actually listen to (biblical sound) Christian rap
NF..
@@LaLaJenkinsawesome! Thank you for responding

@@LaLaJenkins Thank you! I’ll give it a listen ❤️
Erykah badu as well & some other neo soul musicians! I’m struggling with listening to wrong music but I know that these people are not with God.
You’re beautiful and you can sing ❤
Is Kanye considered secular music? I listen to Gods conviction when I hear /see certain things, but I don’t get conviction when I listen to Kanye.
LaLa,
Thank you for speaking on this topic that is sooo important.
Absolutely!! NF Real Music, No cussing violence or drugs. He's God Sent..🙏💯🔥💃
What about secular ppl that did Christian music... Can i still listen to Kanyes Jesus is King "all we need". What about "Soul anchor" from Kanye West the whole Song only uses scripture
I would suggest going into prayer about secular gospel songs
@LaLa Jenkins yes ma'am we all need to pray for discernment and ask JESUS for guidance and deliverance
Thank you.
Biblically sound Christian rap is fine
You aren't real!!! I love you so I'm learning from you. I also was a youngster in hop hop. I find myself letting it go to. Whew it's a Lil strange but with the help of God I'll be ok!!!
What artists or Christian music do you recommend
Kieran The light, MTM Isaiah, thaKiddlee, Zauntee, Isaiah Robin.
They are dope gospel rap Artists. Check them out
i would like to know your stance on tattoos i feel a lot of people are being deceived by them the practice of tattoos came from the pagans and yet people still to to justify why getting them isn’t a sin when it’s clearly stated in the bible that it’s forbidden.. great vids btw
@@justceelo This is GOOD!! Thank you! 🙌🏽
@@LaLaJenkins you’re welcome 🙏🏾 thank you for spreading the truth ❤️
Agree! We have to be careful of some of these Secular gospel songs!
I never listened to any of these fools!! I am still having my Heavenly Father to still edify me regardless.
It's crazy that i wanted to be an hip hop artist and heavy listening to rap i have slowly stopped listening to it or wanted to be an artist no more God knows best
🙌🏽
Great video, what's your opinion on Christian Hip Hop? Like Dee 1, Bizzle, there are so many more
I really enjoy biblically sound Christian rap
Right. 🙏🏽
Yes‼️
i was obsessed with the same artist, and I even listened to one of his songs called “i spoke to the devil in miami, he said everything would be fine” in which he explicitly surrendered to Satan.
i’m a living testimony of God’s faithfulness because He helped me wipe out all my secular playlists last year, and now I only listen to Christian music from many different genres 🤍
