Some ignorant individual will turn in a valuable firearm and not receive proper compensation. Most likely a piece of junk incapable of being used will be turned in. In any case the politicians will break their arms patting themselves on the back. In any case these weapons never would have been used.
I'm in SE Michigan there was a one of these recently a news station posted photos of the guns. They were virtually all old single shot shotguns and some old .22 rifles. Laughable
Utica has been on a steep decline for decades. Back in the 1960’s the state government taxed all of the regional industry out of existence. It’s been at the mercy of government funding ever since. And it’s just a short trip from the old Remington gun works in Ilion NY.
My city was doing a buy back but why would you alert leos that you can print and produce firearms.... Thats the biggest reason i didnt do something like this was putting myself in the leos watchlist....
