yes you can go up to 32gb, but not all brands get detected, we tested with a lot of brands only two i recall that got detected, but again 32GB i think is over kill for the CPU that is in this laptops.

Thanks for this video. The head shield had some clamps that I used a small flat head screwdriver to gently push away from the shield and the heat shield popped off. Once I turned it on it took a little longer than normal to turn on and boot up but I guess that was windows recognizing the new ram. Also it shows 20GB so I'm guessing it's counting internal ram plus the 16 I added. Either way I can tell the difference immediately thanks again for the video.

Thank you for your sharing. Actually, I've got a 330S 15ikb with 4GB ram while I'm considering to upgrade it within these days. By reaching the information from the net, some said that the computer could only be upgraded up to a total of 12GB only (4 on Broad+ 8 GB external). I would like to ask for your professional opinion, can I upgrade my computer up to 20 GB RAM (4 on broad+16 GB)? and if available, what is the best ram speed to choose? The current ram speed of mine pad is 2400MHZ, thank you and looking forward for your kindness reply. 🙏😊

regarding your question: sure i need to know 1st if you cpu and motherboard can handle that much ram , so please check this video and see what the max ram capacity:
      ruclips.net/video/tKEJTkVth4Q/видео.html
if it says 32GB then sure you can go 4gb On board and 16gb additional, we do upgrade them often, but its best to check the max limit.
      we use this : amzn.to/3Gzv95X
don't go over 2400mhz because the one built on board is 2400MHz and if you place anything higher the bios will down clock it to match the lowest.

Thanks for the video, you helped me a lot! I have a doubt now, I
currently have the 330S with 1TB HDD + 16 GB Optane tech, I want to
install a m.2 SDD for system and some programs, and leave files and the
rest to the HDD. But the trouble, as you might know, is that the m.2 slot is the same where
is installed the Optane, so I have to remove Optane memory if I want to
install the SSD. It's actually better to have SSD + HDD, or HDD +
    Optane? Thanks!

regarding your question: 1st of all the Optane is truly a garbage invention, i would recommend you to back up all your files and do the following:
get a m.2 ssad sata, recommend you to get a samsung brand:
      amzn.to/3kZwkn1
and make sure you disconnect the hdd when installing windows on m.2
after installing windows on m.2 then plug the hdd and format the drive and use it as a extra storage for games or big files.
how to create windows 10 usb: ruclips.net/video/uDu8j2lE-dM/видео.html
proper way of installing windows 10 (use a reference for steps)
      info you may require:
      to get to BIOS:
Turn the PC off. Turn the PC on. Immediately and repeatedly press (Fn+) F2 or F2. Accessing the BIOS may take multiple attempts.
when you plug the windows 10 usb power on and keep taping on f12 or (fn+) f12 to get to the boot menu and choose the usb.

what's an 'obtain drive" (that's what subs calls it) that you remove just before removing the ram?
Will doubling my son's laptops 8gb ram allow his Minecraft to run any better?

Thanks ✌ for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P
Regarding your question: the component that i removed was a optane ssd cache, the reason i removed its because i made a video on how to upgrade the HDD to SSD.
      ruclips.net/video/mhDbojHhwUg/видео.html
there reason that the optane ssd cache was installed is because the factory installed a HDD and the HDD are much slower and the optane ssd cache will act like a cache so it can speed up the process, BUT if you have upgraded to SSD then there is no need for the optane ssd cache, as it will slow down the system.
      i hope i have explained it :)

Hi bro, i'm confused. Please let me know, is it M.2 NVME SSD compatible? Or only M.2 SATA SSD? I have a 330s 81JN0006BR i7-8550U 4GB RAM + 1TB HDD and optane technology. I think that is the same, but my notebook is blue. Thank you so much, great video!

glad that yours worked 🍻 enjoy the speedy loads

Regarding your question, it all depends if you purchased with extra ram option or just the basic 4GB ram.
usually they come with a 4GB stick. we have seen clients bringing them in with 4GB on board and a free slot available.
the best bet is for you to open and check, there is not way that a program can tell you if you have it soldered on board or using a slot.
we open this laptops often and it's different configuration of the rams.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

I have the same problem. There's a 'novo'? button on the side that you can press with a paper clip to invoke bios that might help... will be trying that. Also, leaving it on (with blank screen) for a few minutes in case it is trying to work stuff out. Will post here with results...

    • @christophermoore3589
      @christophermoore3589 10 месяцев назад

The 'novo' button requires a paperclip to be inserted. I tried that and other small tools including sim card remove tool. WITH or WITHOUT new memory, it did nothing. I tried pressing it turned off, I tried pressing it turned on.... nothing. I also left the machine with a black screen thinking it might 'get better'. It didn't. So I am guessing that there's an incompatibility with the ram and that's that.
