    • @Drawingb
      @Drawingb 3 года назад +1

      @@Maverick.manan_ I went with Kingston a400, 240 GB. It's cheap and really really fast even on a data connector. You might benefit from trying m.2 or a better model if you have a bigger budget. Depends on your use, but I would advise to go with a smaller 240gb and keep your files on your hdd in an external enclosure.
      SSDs are fast, but will get slow if you fill it up with a lot of files and programs you dont need.

    Great video! Just want to say one thing about RAM memory upgrade. You can actually upgrade it up to 20GB of RAM adding 16GB sodimm 2400 1.2 V to extra slot. It will work perfectly fine. Other than that very good tutorial and detailed video.

    This video was a lifesaver. Thank you!
    I'm not sure I would have known about 970 evo if it wasn't for this video. Got the 1TB version. Bought and installed it today and just got it to work with my computer. Need to upgrade my other hard drive, but still nervous about that and need to save up for it anyway. Also need to add ram, but I didn't see an extra slot for it on my 330S. Don't know if missed it or not. Need to open it up again anyway because my 970 didn't come with a screw and the one I had didn't work.
    Any ram you recommend? Also ditto with the other hard drive.

    Thank you for making this video. The information here is great and it is difficult to find another video as in-depth as this one for this exact model. I have two questions though-
    1. My laptop has a 1 TB ssd (I think; I've seen some models of this laptop with a hdd, but I haven't cracked mine open yet), however C:\ states it has only 930 GB of storage. Is that usual for this laptop and if not, any ideas as to what could be happening there?
    2. If the m.2 ssd has a smaller storage capacity than the original hdd/ssd, what would be the effect on the system? Does the m.2 add storage to the system or simply replace what was already there?
    Keep up the work!
    Edit: One more question: does this model use single or dual rank RAM?

    • @TechMadeEasyUK
      @TechMadeEasyUK  4 года назад

      The disk reading 930GB is normal - you lose space because of formatting overheard and this applies to all storage drives.
      If you add an additional m.2 drive you will gain that space as a separate drive within windows

      I'll be covering this in an upcoming video, but essentially you need to download Windows 10 from the microsoft website onto a USB using their free media creation tool and then reinstall Windows.

    Thanks a lot for making this video! I have the same laptop, but in a slightly different variant, mine came with an ssd, and when i recently removed the back to upgrade the RAM i noticed it did not have the black shield, and in the hhd area there's a soft aluminium box instead of the caddy... i have a spare sata hhd and t I'm thinking to adding this as an extra storage space... Would this affect the performance? i'm not planing to remove the ssd just add the hhd, i'm guessing it would be some noise and more power consumption... any advise would be greatly appreciated. My 1TB HDD has got issues with file corruption. Wiping hard drive did not work. Can I purchase 1TB 7mm HDD for 14ikb ? Does 7mm fit for 14 inch version also? Which hard disk do you recommend?
