      Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both!
      Regarding your question, there is nothing especial about calibration, the only thing you should do once every 2months is to discharge slowly the laptop and once discharged then power off (important) and plug the charger and let it charge for 4-5 hours, then disconnect the charger and let it drain slowly the battery (no heavy loads) and after that power off and let it to charge again for 4-5h and then you can use it as you wish, this is the service job for any laptop battery that any user should do.
      Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

      if you want to only service or add ram or hdd or clean, just disconnect the battery no need to remove it completely, just disconnect the battery jack from board.

    Hello, thanks so much for your channel and videos. I have a laptop similar to this and I was not using for almost 3 weeks, when I turned it on it was working, but it was not plugged and then the battery ran ou (an orange light was shinning, then it died completely and never came back. I tried all the trouble shooting. Power drain, tried another charger, hold power bottom for 30 seconds or more but nothing worked. I heard it was battery so I bought one and Im waiting to receive it and replacing. Do you think it is really battery or something else? It only has 3 years. I only use it for around 5 hours per day. Thanks so much

      Thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P
      regarding your question: this laptop doesn't need to have the battery connected in order to power on, if you remove the battery and hold the power on for 30sec then leave the battery disconnected and plug the charger in and it should turn on without the battery, if not. then the new battery won't even help you, when plugged the new battery it may power on but it will only last as long as it has charge in it, then it will die like the old one you may have a bad mosfet or charge circuit on board.
      i do get this issues a lot in the store but every time its something different that resolves the issue.

    My Ideapad 330s 14kib comes with a two-cell 7.4v battery. can I upgrade it with a three-cell 11.1v battery? If yes, should I also upgrade the charging adapter? It comes with a 45-watt adapter. Any suggestion??

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  3 месяца назад +1

      Regarding your question, YES you can and no need to upgrade the charger, just keep using the old charger till it gets over heated and dies ( it will not damage the laptop at all ) and once that is dead sure you can go for a bigger charger.
      NOTE: if you going to install a 3cell battery you have to make sure that the connector of the battery is the same exact as the original if you see that the cables (black and red ) are inverted then DO not install it, as long as the connector and the screw holes match then you fine up to 12v.
      BUT we always recommend everyone to get the same original model of the battery, else you will be stressing the motherboard.
      Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.

    Thanks, but the video is at least twice as long as it needs to be, take the screws off the chassis, take the screws off the battery, pull the connector and put new battery in by reversing the above instructions. BTW, your comment "there's an empty spot on the battery, I don't why..." that extra space is for the extended capacity battery.

    • @uFixTek
      @uFixTek  10 месяцев назад

      I have ensured that the video is aligned with the correct timeline, covering the necessary screws, screwdrivers, and the process of opening the cover and model. You may already have more hands-on experience than others and might not require the detailed explanation, but there are people who do need this information. The empty space serves as filler for these models, as extended capacity is not available for this particular model. You are correct; it is intended for an additional cell, but not for this laptop model. I greatly appreciate your feedback and comments. Cheers! 🍻

So I gave up on fixing. But my question is, if I change my mind and ask them to fix it, would they need to delete my files? Because if they need to delete things I dont need to fix it for sure. Thanks so much again!

      1st of all no need to replace the motherboard if the technician is a good and knows how to repair boards.
      and about the hard drive, i would recommend you to follow this video and remove and safe keep the hard drive in you house, the technicians don't need the hard drive to power on or repair the laptop. you can power on the laptop without the hard drive, and the only thing you will see a msg on screen saying no boot drive. but the screen will turn on and motherboard will work. so remove the hard drive and give the laptop to repair and after the repair is done install the hard drive your self or give it to them to install it. no need to re format or do any configuration to the windows or anything.
