Works amazingly! Stopped performance issues ive been having completely, allowing me to play games like into the radius, and vertigo with complete smoothness, where I otherwise would be dealing with very bothersome lag spikes. Highly recommend.
So it still works? Does the resolution/quality look any worse?
@@eternalglow6483 the point of fsr is to not make it look worse, you might get some not so anti aliasing look, with a bit few pixels, but you would have to stop and stare to even notice them

This is the kind of thing i was looking for. A lot of vr games dont have built in fsr/dlss and this makes a huge difference, i dont even notice less image quality (though that could be just preferring more fps). THANK YOU
OpenVR-FSR-App doesn't work with American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, if anyone is wondering, and I never needed this for any other game that was written specifically for VR. I did extensive testing using this app. But great video.
yeah i really appreciate the fine tuning you can do, i'm aiming for 72hz/fps but hitting 67, with this tool i can apply FSR just slightly to go from 67 to 72, a small difference but it feels way smoother
Which is better? Opencomposite and OpenXR Toolkit or this app? Maybe this is more compatible at a general level? sorry for my English I use the translator.

Although I do have a question. I'm a little dumb sometimes lol, so I couldn't really figure out if this would work in Into The Radius. Also, how do I figure out what game uses OpenVR or Oculus Runtime? Where can I see it, if I can after all? Thanks!
Ive tried multiple diffrent versions, and multiple diffrent games, but theres always errors when trying to use this. When I try to enable anything, the games stop working entirely.

Grate vid bud got my sub! This is a really interesting mod for FSR because every time I've tried either upscale type, I don't like them. The graphical anomalies that are created are horrible. With this fine control, the mod seems to offer I might be able to get fps back without the horrible artifacting! It's definitely some knowledge under my cap for when a game has low frames. I'm looking at you no man's sky!

Is there any way to reduce the zoom ratio for After The Fall PCVR. FSR does work well with it, but it seems to make it more like a flat screen game. It's a bit odd. Give it a try when you have a chance and let me know.
I get the same thing in After The Fall, just a slight zoom. You can increase the render scale, that seems to reduce the effect. Apart from that, I don't know if you can do anything about it.
Can Render Scale be modified while in game? Or does changing that setting require a reboot?

When I added the bonelab folder I copied from my oculus library it doesn't give me the option to check the FSR remove plugin. The button is there but its more grey and I cant press it.
I can't seem to get this to work at all with No Man's Sky VR (Steam). Any ideas?

You only need the program for the setup. It does not have to run while you play.

How does it compare to Virtual Desktop's Snapdragon Game Super Resolution?
I have been having a lot of reprojection issues ever since I got my new Quest 3 for pcvr. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to turn off reprojection anymore, so I am stuck at a locked fps
what is the software which monitor your fps in the game?
I tried in Vtol VR and regardless off what I do, the game is blurry. If I don't use anything, the game work fine. I guess this one does not work to well.

What CPU, GPU and RAM does your pc have? And what is the native render resolution?
I've been trying it with dcs but it fails on the install. Part of the error that seems important says this "Access is denied: 'C:\\Program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World", perhaps you know how to fix this if theres a way?

I play with a Q3 via steam link and a 6e router in my man cave and it works well but I wonder will this increase latency or even work at all lol?

I have about 45 FPS with 50%+ reprojection and lots of dropped frames, while I have almost 98% GPU use and only 10% CPU use. I monitor this through fpsVR tool. Can someone comment?

Couldnt get this to work. Enabled with default settings and installed to Half life Alyx and Vertigo 2 both crash at startup. Using quest2 and gtx 1080
I know it doesn't work for Half-Life Alyx, unfortunately. That crashes for me too. Maybe Vertigo 2 has the same problem? I don't have that game, so can't test it right now.

The mod app is outdated by this point, it might cause file conflict with existing programs if you tried to overwrite them.
Alright, I might as well ask, is there any way to implement FSR or DLSS into Vivecraft? This tool is nice, but I doubt it can help me with the only game I have that would actually need it...
I played around with it a little bit but could not not get it to work. Vivecraft uses the OpenVR runtime, so you can install the mod but it does not seem to do anything. I guess its because Minecraft uses OpenGL. I know that FSR does not work with OpenGL games, NIS should though, but it still did nothing for me. Maybe there is a way, but its not that easy. Minecraft is a very CPU intensive game, so unless you are using shaders upscaling will probably do nothing anyway. Would be cool though if there is a way to get it to work with shaders. I might try to play around with it a little more.
@@virtual_panic I tried as well with fholgers openvr_fsr mod, NIS enabled, but to no avail.
My graphics card seems to be the only limiting factor for performance in my current setup, so I might try overclocking next (10% more frames would already be worth it).
I'm trying to play with sildurs vibrant shaders enabled (as bare bones as I can get it, using the lite version) but as soon as I try, my fps drop to around 46-70 which is near unplayable for longer sessions.
It just feels weird, looking at the tasks manager, I get readings like this while playing: CPU 7%, RAM 14%, GPU %86, as soon as I turn the shader on.

Valve removed that setting a while ago because they felt that people would not know how to use it properly. There is still a way to do it though, its just a bit hidden. You need to hit Display VR View in SteamVR, in the Menu of the VR View select "Open Debug Commands" and then click on async_mode_toggle. The shortcut (shift+a) did not work for me. This will reset every time you restart SteamVR.

No matter what I do with this. I can't get past 45 FPS. I'm sure that this works for a lot of people, but I can't get any improvement out of it
That suspiciously sounds like you have asynchronous/synchronous frame generation ( what steam calls smooth motion) . So it caps at 45 to be interpolated to 90. Does it feel smooth in game or is it TRUE 45 god awful FPS?

No, this will only work for VR games.
For none VR Games there are other tools like Lossless Scaling Tool and many others to get FSR into any game you want. If you have an AMD card you should also be able to use it through it's software with all games.
