Gabinet Gaming I agree with you. Even tho it has some problems for that you have either to load up another save or have to run a little bit around to trigger the scene, which this is the less annoying part this game's story is just awesome. I completed it already the second time and I may consider doing the 3rd run just to have all paths played once. That's how am I gonna reduce my waiting time until the DLC comes out which is hopefully a Judy DLC for me. And especially the music hits way to deep or can also be badass
Alt's theme is at the same level as "Ladies of the Woods" from Witcher 3. And this is very high level. This music fits her perfectly. There is no music that better characterizes this feeling of fear, defenselessness and mystery from meeting an AI in a territory where it can set rules. Alt's mind is far beyond human comprehension... It has been a long time since I experienced this feeling of horror from a video game.
Well said - I agree completely. Alt really surmises the tragedy and the interaction adds weight to what V is going through as they grip with losing their soul. There is a sense of 'cosmic horror' as we face the unknown and forces more powerful than we are able to understand. Mama Brigitte's words to V before the mission really provided a haunting setup too - wanting to 'change sides' before its too late... P.S. The 'Ladies of the Woods' is what hooked me to the Witcher franchise and plunged me into the storytelling. I was lukewarm on it right up until that mission - but from there ...
Notice how most of the cello mix are for Johnny & Alt themes soundtracks. String it together & you actually can get a cohesive OST out of it. It's like a story about the two of them.
@@Dark_Voice I would say yes as in the end because Rogue is the real one & the realization after all this years is probably one of the main points of Johnny's arcs.
@@Dark_Voice Which is a shame. It was like the Triss/Yennefer crap in the Witcher. Set up Triss as the LI in more games even though it was always Yennefer in the source.
@@Dark_Voice I will have to agree, when you think about it... In spite of how much they loved each other, Alt decided to sacrifice everything to go beyond the wall, even leaving Johnny behind. Rouge, in spite of everything, stuck by Johnny till the bitter end, and once she realized he was back, was more than ready to have one last battle with him. We'll never know if a proper romance would have come of these two, but in spite of the horrors of Night City, Rouge and Johnny were something you wouldn't often find in that hellhole: True friends.
Technically all of Cyberpunk 2077 was about Johnny and Alt… it was Alt that drove Johnny to nuke Arasaka, get soul killer to copy his psyche which decades later gets caught up by V…
The revelation that there isn't a great cybernetic dreamtime, just a vast, deep hell of voracious data entities, one of whom just got into Mikoshi, a fort full of the best hackers who ever died, was rolling around in my head too. It was a heartbreaking ending.
It's just sad to see johnny's reaction to losing her, that's the moment he snapped, and its worse that he knew her soul isn't even in the next world, but in a digital net, knowing she's there but being able to do nothing to save her, it must've took a heavy toll on him, through which he eventually suffered the same fate, being stuck inside for decades in the net, and when he finally meets alt she isn't even there, just a shell, with a body of the girl he loved, tbh i feel bad for johnny more
@@yxus0f he met Alt again actually before she was completely 'not' herself in the 2020s. Those 60 years between her death and 2077 really made her less and less herself and more and more pure logic. Back in 2022 Johnny and Spyder contacted her and that's when Johnny agreed to help Militech in the 4th Corpo War (despite Alt begging him not to) Alt also contacted the inventer of the NET, Rache Bartmoss to ask him to destroy soulkiller from the NET, so there would be no tower raid wasting her boyfriend and his friends. This got Rache deleted by an orbital laser, and he triggered a deathswitch that deleted over 90% of the NET permanently. So she wasn't always this cold, or this alone
Alt's theme has a lot of cello in it, the several variations of Johnny's theme has a small bit of cello and a lot of rage and revenge in them. I think it's kinda saying Johnny is (we all know he is) fighting for Alt.
That is why I only cared about the story and characters of a video game I don't care about the flaws of the game I want to experience the dark future and the story of cyberpunk 2077 Alt Cunningham is by far the most beautiful of all cyberpunk characters in the genre. Cyberpunk 2077, not the only game with flaws many games before it was released also had cheesy and cringy cutscenes and bland gameplay the glitches give the game a small purpose and made us feel like we are in cyberspace on a server. the song Never fade away means soul killer may take your mind from your body but her soul and heart and mind are always in the hearts of many net runners who march in her footsteps Her shell may be carved from inside to decay but her soul Never fades away.
i would really enjoy a DLC that deep dives into Alt's experience with her escape into cyberspace and how part of her begins to degrade - and whether or not it is possible for her to bring herself back as well as, well, herself. It seems she's lost a lot of her human character in her time in cyberspace - so much that she doesn't even acknowledge Johnny for what they were. In general, it would be fascinating to have more story time with cyberspace and the Blackwall with alt. The concept of a "rogue AI" controlling the Peralez family was also so interesting because this stems further into cyberspace.
The Blackwall and idea of rogue AI is one of the more fascinating parts of the lore - would love to see more of this too. It will be interesting whether future DLC deals with Johnny joining that realm and whether he'll have a similar fate... assuming the V = alive ending is canon that is ...
Considering the blue eyes people that have been spoken about in some of the side missions of the game i'm assuming that if Alt wanted to she could possibly use a "vessel" so to speak to appear human again.
