I learned more in half a video than i did in a 10 week class at my local museum. Thanks for all the details about your construction.

I am a hand builder and have made many mugs. It never would have occurred to me to do it this way! THANK YOU for giving my brain a major nudge! I'll be trying this out first thing tomorrow.

I do a similar process but if you will shape a wooden spoon to the profile you desire and use it to push out the belly instead of the rib you will have better results and less difficult. ;-)

I really like that you don't speed up the videos - I tend to work really quickly, because so many times I see speed videos and loose the feeling for how long pulling a handle really takes... Thanks for that.

I feel like some of my videos are a bit long. But I figure people can speed up where they want to and if they want to watch the entire process then they can. 🙂

Hi! You gave lots of advice I hadn't seen in other textured slab videos. Never knew about the handle proportion... Thanks!

Glad you find all the details helpful! I learned about the handle proportion from another potter... but I can't remember who it was. 🤷‍♀️

Helo. Very nice work 👍. I am a girl from Iraq 🇮🇶 Baghdad 🌹. And I'm in the channel. I love working at Clay. I'll cut you. I dug and dug in the garden of the house about Clay 😂😂. And pure it from impurities and sand. I left him for 15 or more. and his kneading with a soft dust. And i made shapes and dried and became strong. To be when forming the stereoscopic clay is not obeyed?
Can I add something else while clay kneaded? Like ashes or something.
    Please reply

That is very cool!! I have never made my own clay so I don't know for sure what would work. I know the clays I have used have sometimes had sand in them and some have grog which I believe is fired ground clay. Sorry I can't be more help

Why is everything a 1/4? is it done to annoy. If so stay off my site.👎
