Have to say this by far Is the best way to learn how to make a cup! And you actually can talk and work on at the same time! Thank you so much for your time and help.
Ohhh my gosh I’m so glad I found you! I’ve been wanting to make my own pottery with out a wheel!! So happy I found this!!! You’re so sweet and very thorough!! great video!!!

yes and what amazes me is she can talk and work with her hands the whole time it was so easy to learn from her and she did it slowly and she didn't do it fast but she didn't do it to slow either it was a joy to watch her didn't get nervous but I'll tell you one thing I'm going to make a cup now she made it look so simple and since I'm a fast learner I can do this thank you so much for being brilliant
Love your videos so had to do research on you. You are so modest. Writer, illustrator, multiple awards, etc etc. You have a wealth of talent to share. Thank you.
Thank you very much I am very thankful to you in my life you give me a rich and great idea I am making different you never see in your life and never make I can say this words by proud god bless you god bless you you are very good channel hundred times I will thankful to you

I’ve seen a lot of videos of how to make a mug or cup and I found it very difficult till I saw your video, it awesome how easy you made it for me and i had known all the tips and techniques I’ve been looking for , thank you ♥️♥️
I like the way you simplify a process. Would like to see: many different ways to hand tiles, ceramic, art... all the ways you can come up with. And, would also like to see a basics of sculpting, and how to add high temperature wire and what it can do.
Came accross by odds, looking for some videos to display on demo site. You are so likeable and good speaker, you could have made it in many other domains. But it's good you do what you like, and probably feel you're better.
💜👏💜You're lovely!!! Thank you for showing and sharing your knowledge and experience!! I always coil my bottom to my mug, but I will try your method!!! I really like your apron💕
Jessica you are just perfect, your look, your voice... all your videos are very interesting. I love how you bring all subjects up, make everything easy and fun .
Why have I not found you before? It was my birthday Sunday just gone, The Universe was saving you for me till then, well belated by two days, but oh well I've found you now. Yay.
Thank you most interesting. I'm a beginner potter having played around with clay 40 years ago but have always longed to get back to it. Interesting video I look forward to trying this out :-)
Looks like a fun cup. Wait a while longer to let your slab firm up so you don't lose your perfect circular shape as you join the ends. Remember, clay has a memory!
Yes, you still have to glaze and fire them but... if you make one out of air dry clay you can use them to hold pencils or to look cute but not for liquids.
I loved your video! Your instructions are so easy to understand and follow. I can't wait to do this with my gkids! I'm excited to check out your website! Thank you so much for sharing your joy of ceramics ☺ God Bless ❤

Great video, used it to make my first mug, just went to rotate it whilst its drying and I stumbled and threw it, it was pretty warped so I dont trust itll survive the firing process so will do more next week!! Practice makes perfect 🤣

Thanks Jessica for the slab mug tutorial! I will try to make my own version soon. I found a cool textured rolling pin at a thrift store that I plan to use. The pulled handles are so cool. I had no idea how to do that. Cheers from Canada.
simply wonderful! please, tell us, what type of clay did you use on precisely this mug. and what type of varnish, color. thank you so much for your demo and you sharing with us all this process of making this beautiful handmade mug!

Depending on the design on the pin, it could work or not work. I think it depends. The best part about making these is that you can do what works for you.
I loooove this, too cute and I just subbed! I'd have so much fun making pottery with you you seem like a great person to craft with! Thanks for the tutorial :)

Ur handle method got me! Best i have ever seen on RUclips. People need to see this to believe..others are way to scary and complicated 😂
Best demo of a handmade mug I've seen so far, and you didn't omit any details! Also fun to watch. Takes the seriousness out of the process. Love it!

So with this you still have to fire the mug and then paint and glaze. Not just air dry. very cute.

Nicely done, little critique I usually hide my seam under the handles. It gives it a more polished look in my opinion.

Very beautiful!!
Fantastic video, thank you. Love your style.
Hi! Does this cup fit in a skutt firebox 8”. ? Thanks for the helpful information
maybe you could roll your texture wheel down the slab long ways so you dont have seam running up the cup
Jon Simmons That’s a good idea, except then only one narrow strip of the roller’s larger pattern would be repeatedly embossed in the surface.

@@amandadobbs8609 That'd look better than a god awful smearing line segmenting the cup every few inches. It looks terrible.
