I very much appreciate your responses on my posts it helps let me know I’m pushing some of the right buttons 😎It did turn out pretty nice. Tried to show all the important processes without making it an epic production.
Hey I have a SEVERELY rotted exterior door jamb & a little on the interior door jamb. I live in a older single wide trailer and there's no awning over any windows or doors so when it rains the water just runs straight down which is whats caused the wood to rot so badly. Can I send you some photos of what I'm dealing with? I really can't afford to have an entire new interior and exterior frame installed along with a new door but with winter coming I have to get it done. I can see the daylight beaming in on both sides of the door from the middle down to the bottom 😞
You’re going to need a section of door casing that fits a mobile home door. It can be cut just like is shown in the video. Make sure the door seal in place currently can be reused. As far as the water running down that’s going to get more expensive -gutters awning or something will be needed to stop the water to prevent future water damages.
You made a hard job look easy, great job on the repair.
