Oh gosh, this reminds me of when my son and his wife used to join my hubby and I in the high country of Oregon. So beautiful, we had a pop up and they slept in their tent. Thank you for your service, my hubby did 3 tours in Vietnam. God bless and safe travels!
Hi, the area is about 8 miles east of Oakhurst California at about the 5,600-foot level. I think you had other questions, but I can't find them now. Do you have my email address?
I believe the reason you slept so good is that you had heat during the night. I leave the heat on during the night when I camp. The days of roughing it are long gone...lol
I agree. I generally sleep very well on these trips. But that particular night the temperature got down into the teens. My feet got a little cold. So at about 1 a.m. I got up and put 2 pairs of sock on. That helped.
@booniebuster4193 I have a diesel heater that I use. It's very miserly on both fuel and my battery. Best money ever spent. I've heard many a camper say that their sleeping bag keeps them warm during the night. It's getting out of the bag and everything in the camper is very cold that gets to me. Ay my age, I want heat..lol. Can't wait to see your and Mark's new campers. We pay for comfort as we age.
I didn't have any place in the Viking to add a diesel heater. And I didn't really want to have to haul a can of diesel up the hill. Just one more thing to pack. You are correct about needing more comfort as we age. I'll be 79 in December.
When I stop laughing at you two camping idiots I'll tell you what I liked about this video....😂😂😂😂😂 Beautiful campground! All to yourselves, too! BUT...who the h*ll goes camping in the snow?? You two are addicted!!😅
