I'm hoping to get my sister in the next video, I just text her so wish me luck!🥴🤣I feel like she'll be a good addition because she just finished her 6 years of school; undergrad and also grad school to get her masters 🥳 ** I also included a link to UA's classification system (freshman, junior, etc) in the reply below!
Hey, thank you for all of the advice! I am very interested in attending UA but I am sort of hesitant due to the location. As a young black male, I have to be careful with where I go because racism is still very prevalent, especially down south. Have you had any experiences with racism on campus?
Hi Josh!! I am in the process of editing my video on my experience here as a black female and it will be posted this week!! 🥳make sure you have the notification bell turned on!
I plan on attending the University of Alabama when in a couple years and major in secondary education English language arts and thanks for your advice.
yay!!! im so excited for you🥰 its not many people here with the same major and minor in this field, its a great combo! and you will love it, let me know if you ever need anything!
Jasmine, my granddaughter will be attending this fall as a freshman, can you direct me to what shuttle services are available from the Birmingham airport. Thank you
Hi Robert! Congratulations to her!! As far as I know, this is a popular one that a lot of people use: www.scuttleshuttle.com/ and if you scroll on this page, it includes a list of some more! www.visittuscaloosa.com/transportation/
Hey! thanks for making this video, I'm transferring into UA this fall as a sophomore! I'm also majoring in Criminal Justice, do you have any advice for me?
Hey Clohe!! You're so welcome! Congratulations on transferring here🥳Overall it is a pretty easy major here! I would recommend looking on ratemyprofessor.com when picking your teachers and to make at least one friend in your classes bc you will see them often in your other CJ classes. For the most part the workload is fair but some professors can be extra so if you have choice between picking certain ones, go off of the reviews on ratemyproffesor! If you can apply for an internship do that as well! It will help you in determining what you like and don't like in the field. I interned at Tuscaloosa County District Attorney's Office my sophomore year and lovedddd it. And always ask questions when you need to! Many CJ professors here are welcoming and nice. Also, if you ever need anything please let me know!! I have one more CJ class left to take this fall so I've pretty much taken them all. 🤣I'm so happy I could help !!!
Hi!! I am in the process of editing my video on my personal experience here as a black female and it will be posted this week!! 🥳make sure you have the notification bell turned on!!!
UA here in Tuscaloosa does not have a medical school but UAB in Birmingham does! UA does offer pre-med track courses but here is a more detailed link: prehealth.ua.edu/pre-health-tracks/pre-medical/
Hey girl! I'm very interested in attending UA; however, I don't want a roommate lol! Do you know anything about John England Hall? I see on the website that they offer single rooms, but I can find any videos or anything on it!
heyyy girl!! I completely understand why you wouldn't want any roommates lol. John England was just built I think within the last year so they're fresh and new. I just looked on the website and I had no idea they had single rooms! I stayed by myself my sophomore year at Riverside East and loved it. SOMETIMES you can luck up at the traditional halls, Parham, Paty etc. and wound up with no roommate and a room to yourself but it's definitely not a guarantee. I have 3 friends who wound up not getting a roommate their freshman year and they stayed at the traditional style dorms. You could call the housing office and get more info about John England, they would know much more than I do since they're so new. This is their contact info -phone: 205-348-6676 -email: housing@ua.edu and if you click this page: housing.sa.ua.edu/halls/england-hall/ and scroll to the very bottom, the links to their social media is on there too, but I would recommend calling!! Thank you for your comment and I'm so happy you're wanting to come to UA, you'll love it here 🥴🤣

I have a 3.2 GPA not counting my grades of senior year hopefully it comes up. I’m trying to get a good ACT my highest is 19 :( UA is my dream school and I want to take criminology and hopefully get recruited by the CIA or FBI I’ve send in my application for fall 2021. My question is how long does it take for them to give you a yes or no and how are the criminal and justice classes?
Hi Sharon!! First off, I'm very excited for you and your choice to apply here at UA! It is an amazing school with a thousand and one resources lol. Your plan is amazing and it is great that you are planning ahead. It took me maybe 3 weeks or so to hear back on if I was accepted or not. I kept check on it via my myBama account. You should receive an answer on there before it comes in the mail (my experience). do not be afraid to try with whatever credentials you have in your background because then you will know what your next steps should be. too add, your GPA is amazing and so is your ACT score. I had a 3-point level GPA and an 18 on my ACT and got in. The academic field of Criminology and Criminal Justice here at UA is amazing and I love it. keep me updated on your process! you can comment back here or DM on any of my social media platforms; goodluck girl you got this!!!
