- In this video I show how to make simple throwing knifes from old recycled coil spring. I learned quickly that throwing knives is pretty fun and addictive!

That tree will think twice before sneaking up on you again.
I love how Torbjörn looks like he works in a tech support office yet his level of neatness in blacksmithing is very difficult to come by.
I’ve seen professional blacksmiths with twice the amount of tools at their disposal produce some awful ingots for blade smithing and they have to grind their week away. Your precision is a gift and I’m delighted that you share it with us each time you post a video.
Thanks!!
Believe he'd is educated for CP type work and background but return to his parents home to raise his family and guess had been helpful for them to have back home. Hopefully I not mistaken. I certainly don't mean any disrespect into his life but wish him the best.
Love your editing man! I’m always excited to see how your going to “cut” material
:) Thanks
It always makes me chuckle.
Jest super- mało kto tak potrafi. Szacunek wielki!
Reminds me of how I've seen This Old Tony doing the same thing.
Ohhh, not only cutting! I also love those gardening "inserts". In this he reminded me how my grandma used to plant seeds in the soil, making first an indentation with a pole from a rake. Thanks Torbjorn! It was really pleasant to find that memory from my childhood :D
Sir I'm also a gardener but older. I'm not as flexible as in my youth.
Before I'm unable I'm building tools to keep me gardening longer.
You probably know older people who also aged and still veggies.
I'm planning a long set of tongs for thinning my tiny seedlings such as your carrots will need thinning
You can help promote some gardening tools for us older and handicap people who are not quite ready to stop gardening we love our veggies and little fresh air brings joy to many.
I'm always amazed by your Blacksmith skills but throwing skills you're needed more practice Buddy love your shop skills.
I built a mini post hole digger for setting my seedlings such as tomatoes and peppers.
BIG THANKS 😂
My dad used to operate a huge hammer for US STEEL. Seeing you operate yours with a Midas touch reminds me of him. I really appreciate your videos.
To me, your the best blacksmith on RUclips.
Thank you.
Thank you Bob!
you’re*
Art in hand (hammer), thx for upload!
Cheers from Poland 🇵🇱 🍻
Beautiful work as always! Also, I always love the nature portions & seeing your amazing garden. Can't forget about the cats either!
Thank you! 😊
I really appreciate how you take time and care even on a simple thing like making a target for your knives. you do it right, even for something that really doesn't matter that much.
The best intro ever.
A true skilled master.
I'm still, after so many years of watching, amazed at the level you produce. Not only the skill at forging and blacksmithing, but photography and gardening. Wonderful escape to sit and watch you.
Thank you Robert!
Hi, it is too long since I left a comment, so here it is. :D It is ALWAYS a pleasure to watch you at work + you have two wonderful children. Cheers.
kkkkk I love the magic to cut steel. A hug from Brazil friend!
Very nice!
Thanks Gary! You should make a couple. It's great fun, but also a bit frustrating when you think you got it and suddenly they just bounce off... ha ha.
@@torbjornahman I made one about twenty years ago and was so bad I gave up! I may try again though 😀
I mei complimenti per il tuo lavoro , bravo 👍
These are a pretty cool build.
Now you need to make some throwing axes, like a tomahawk or maybe a double bit throwing axe(s)...
Id definitely would like to see that...
It's on my list somewhere...
I love your lifestyle man that’s what im working towards. Doing crafts in the shop until it’s warm and bright enough to tend the garden.
I had to chuckle to see that we close our garden rows (@10:42) with the same one-handed crab "scootchy-scootch". It's the best ! But we use different "tapping" techniques to produce the precise flow of seeds from the packet. I will soon experiment with your two-handed tap, which is quite different than my one-handed tap. You see, I hold a corner of the packet between thumb and middle finger, using the index finger of the same hand to do the tapping. A small matter, as we both probably proceed with thinning the seedlings in a similar fashion. Best wishes for a bountiful garden to you ! And thanks for yet another enlightening video !
:) Thanks Peter.
Those turned out nice, should provide you some stress relief. Thank you for taking time to film, edit and post this video.
Thunder bear 🐻 becomes a warrior 🤣🤣 love this torbjorn. Thanks for sharing
:) :) Thanks Nathan!
Ahh! The introduction is great. Love the sweater! 🤠❤🔥⚒
:) Made in Iceland!
As much as I love the blacksmithing done in your videos, your garden intermissions are my favorite part of the videos. Cheers
Snapping steel into pieces is one kind of magic - Another even more impressive kind of magic is the editing required to make it look absolutely seamless. SO impressive!
I always love to watch your projects, and I'm increasingly impressed by your videography! This ending really had me laughing :) Keep up the good work, Thunder Bear!
Ha ha, thank you so much Thomas!
Great video as ever, I'm appreciating them even more that I've started an internship on the archaeometallurgy of iron, it's fascinating to see some of the techniques that result in the microstructures I see at work.
I really like what you do , it's very difficult now to find knife making videos were 99% of the work is done by forging instead of 99% being made with grinding !
You live in a very beautiful and pleasant place, Torbjörn! Congratulations!
I just love smithing videos from Torbjörn
Now that looks like fun!
You make it look so simple, but you can not fool me master blacksmith Torbjörn 👍👍 Poor little defense less birch tree 😊
Ending was as we say something you know that thing they say! Nice throwing knives. Thanks for posting...
Heartly thanks for your easy to cut and to forge ant-fishlipping technic. Estimated time savings: nearly infinite ;) As u say in Germany: Alter Schwede! (Expression of approving astonishment, in lättöl-language: Gammlar svensk! XD)
Gorgeous craftsmanship as always!
Always fun times on this channel! And somehow relaxing in the same stroke...
Thanks for that!
Torbjörn - the scandinavian ninja :D
The movements, the editing, even gets his son involved! The techno rhythm. Love it 💯👌🏽💪🏽
Tack Torbjörn. Ditt utmärkt arbete är alltid lärorik och roligt att se.
Great looking knives.
I like your skills as a blacksmith, and I like that you still nourish the kid in you 👍
Thanks!
What a great talent! Joy to watch.
I love watching you build anything, I'm always amazed at how clean your forgings are, if I had forged those knives they would definitely had to have been ground into shape to hide all the imperfections.
The shape of the knife, like Longinus' spear Nice work, it was a pleasure to watch it made.
Great smithy work as always.
Nice video! Greetings from Egypt!
Great looking throwing knives!! And you know how to throw them!! I am amazed at what you make out of coiled steel!!!

Loved your work, like always 🥰😊🙏
Always enjoy your videos , you make the difficult appear so easy. Your artistic qualities excel.
Nice to see your work
Forging a double edged knife with ease! That's how you know you're a really good blacksmith! Very few people can forge bevels that good without grinding, let alone a double edged knife 🗡️ !!!
Thank you!
Blacksmith, gardener, magician, chef, and now assassin, you are a man of many hats :) Love the build as usual, and it's really nice to see you smile. Thanks

Really like the leaf shape you chose for the blades. You have almost used up that old coil spring; it has served you well for many projects.

Mild mannered Swedish blacksmith has a secret identity.
Ta-poketa-ta-poketa-ta-poketa...
I loved your skulking through the bushes.
:) Ha ha
That tree stood no chance against the ninja smithy!
Nice one👍
You made something very nice and fun to use! 🙂
I just love your precision, you forged those bevels so clean and simmetrical that it could have been used without any grinding.
Tack för dina videos!
Have a nice evening mr Åhman. :)))
Thanks man!
That's exactly what I was going to say. The precision of your work, and your patience are still things I'm developing. I love to see you get as close as you do to finished with only minimal filing and grinding, and those bevels are a work of art.
Great job can’t wait fo the next video.
That tree didn't have a chance .... wonderful work, love love your channel.
:) Thanks
Really Nice. Thank you.
Wow, great job sir 😃😃💪💪👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏

I remember those good old days, when that spring was longer) Special thanks for cutting of the Gordian knot of how to have all three knives at once at the target) Your work is a true masterpiece!
Best regards!
