Hello Madeline, he was a young man, his grandmother passed away a couple of years before and then he and his family wanted to sell the house, and they didn't have the space to keep everything. That's why they did this kind of estate sale... I guess it is always a bit painful to give away your grandmother's belongings... 😢 I've never seen him again, he lives far away from here. But the items I got are loved again, and this is a good thing, right? 😊

Where I live in California we have lots of elderly retirees/pensioners and lots of estate sales as a consequence ; it can be a bit melancholy but it’s always fascinating to see the collections of a lifetime. Like you I’ve found some incredible deals on vintage/antique items. So much fun!
