Hello Aurora, I absolutely love you and your mother together!!! You are so fortunate. Thanks for sharing your world and your darling personality. I’m so happy to find your channel. Happy hunting!!! We live in the western US and shop and sell vintage. Some of the big selling items are vintage cameras, phones, typewriters, dishes for entertaining (lazy Susan, glass trays, barware) alarm clocks. Plus my husband sells a lot of fishing and camping gear, hatchets, wood cabinets he makes from old cupboard doors or windows.
Still working my way through all your videos, they are always so entertaining & delightful - educational as well,I learn so much from you. My own mother had a large fork & spoon hanging in our kitchen in the 1970’s,almost identical to the plain set you purchased. Interesting to see they are au courant again. Plus ça change ,plus c’est la même chose.
The wicker baby crib might be called a Moses basket but if it came with a stand it would be a bassinets, you would add a fabric canopy to those curved canes. When not on a stand a basket like that is excellent for safe cosleeping. Also you are and your mother are wonderful together.
Lately at the local Goodwill stores I haven’t been able to find any vintage items, so instead of shopping I decided to look at my storage of items which I’ve purchased from Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Bali and Japan. I’ve been traveling almost every winter since 2012 and buying beautiful things and bringing them home, except I have been keeping them in my storage because I had been renting my place out while I was away traveling. I’m no longer traveling all winter so I can dig out my treasures and display them. While in Vietnam I bought an entire suitcase full of different tea sets. It cost me a lot to get it back to Alaska. I never took anything out of the suitcase yet. In Vietnam they have incredibly strong pottery bricks, which they used to prevent POW from escaping. They used the same pottery to make cooking pots as well, used to bake food. I bought 4 pots with lids, which I still have wrapped in storage. I have bought beautiful fabrics, hand carved intricate wooden boxes, wooden spoons for salads and hand made wall hangings from northern Vietnam made by the Hmong people, along with hemp garments and scarves. I don’t need to shop for old things locally, I just need to dig out my treasures I’ve been collecting since 2012 when I started traveling for 6 months out of the year. I think I will dig out my treasures and swap out and display new items.
Oh I'm sure it is a great emotion to dig out the treasures that you collected throughout the years! 🤩🤩🤩 I also try to do a lot of shopping during my travels, I like to bring home good memories and souvenirs 🥰🥰🥰

If you have Google on your phone you can take a photo of your item and Google will do a search and tell you what it is. Even identify plants.

Never buy things that are chip or crack
