HAPPY SUNDAY!☺I hope this thrifting trip gives you some ideas on what you should look for next time your thrifting for your home! What was the best find you've ever thrifted??
Happy Sunday ❤
Why don’t you show us how you style everything in your home? It would be helpful!
The best find I ever trusted was a new LV womens billfold waller for $2.99. Guess I was at the right place at the right time.
What Goodwill? We still have them?
I recently found a genuine, purple Sasaki tea pot for $8 at Goodwill.
That measuring cup is such an amazing guy.
I’m a reader, so I don’t quite get using books as decor, but I love thrifting. Really good way to decorate, on a budget.
I have been thrift shopping lately at St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic Mission driven thrift store. The money stays within the organization to help the low income, and the homeless. Although I’m not Catholic, I do really like that the money spent stays within the organization, which Goodwill once had but is now lost. Do you ever shop at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore? They also have some great items that stays within their organization. I bought a wooden buffet about 5 feet long and painted it Navy Blue. It was $60 and it took 2 people to bring it inside my house!!! I love it!!! 💕💕💕
With kids leaving the nest and having a large family, thrift stores are a first stop for silverware, furniture, baskets, dishes, and linens. Shower curtains and shower curtsin hooks are great deals. Bsby items and kids clothing helps stretch the dollar. Great video with lots of helpful ideas!
I have been thrifting for 45 years, I have ALWAYS shopped with no addenda, just look for what speaks to me!!!
I always look for small original art (it amazes me what people donate), glassware and servingware. I'm a minimalist, so it's one in one out, so I'm selective, but I enjoy browsing. That measuring cup is a score because the measurements are embossed so they won't wear off!
I’ve been loving how real your content has been lately, always feels like I’m facetiming my friend & catching up ❤️ Your attention to detail and ability to make everything feel like magic is such a blessing to those around you 🦋Thank you for shining your light in the world 🤍
I love thrifting just about anything. Books. Clothing. Décor. Glass wear especially because I make candles out of them. I especially love Thred Up!
I enjoy buying clothes second hand. But recently, I made over a dresser into a buffet table for my dining room with new hardware, runner, and accessories.
I loved this.I got two perfect dinningroom clothed tucked back chairs for $7.00 a piece in great shape at goodwill. Went back to day to get a beautiful cream bench for $7.99 for the foot of my bed and also got a beautiful fax kata lily for my patio for $14.99. I love find home decore.
I'm so glad that you incorporate thrifting into your decor and content. Thanks for that!
I also feel the need to comment about books. So many people get bent out of shape about folks using books for decor because they "love to read." I don't see why the two are perceived as mutually exclusive. Also, the secondhand stores are teeming with books, so why not save them from the landfill and use them however you want?
I love finding items my mother or grandmothers had in there kitchen and homes.
Thrift stores and Antique malls have given me 90% of my home decor.
I love to thrift beautiful glassware or pottery. II’ve been watching so many thrifting/picker RUclips videos. It’s so addicting to see what treasures they pick up.
The thrift store finds ideas were very inspiring. I can't wait to see what you did to the tray. It's such a beautiful tray.
I have been obsessed with thrift stores. I even found good books, novels and clothes, I couldn't believe how much I saved. I love all the peices you picked.
Yes👏🏼👏🏼
The Turkish rugs are amazing and a great price!
Fabulous video! Loved all of your tips! I love to thrift as well! I love vintage thrift shops, antique shops, and a good garage sale! My favorite thing to thrift is all things home decor and baskets! I also love thrifting kitchen items too!
noticed the glass measuring pitcher. My experience: stick with Pyrex. That brand (Pampered Chef?) does not pour well and easily makes a mess. The Pyrex pieces can't be beat. I have an 8 cup, 4 cup, 2 cup, and single cup, and use them all the time, for measuring/pouring liquids.
I thrift everything , my mom started my obsession when I was a child and now my daughter and I have our Saturday morning ritual as well. Thx
My family enjoys going to antique auctions to get our unique furniture and decor. We especially like English antiques. Some auctions you can get great bargains and other times pieces are going "high". It is always exciting to see which items are your favorites! Sometimes you get lucky and are the winning bidder and get to take your find home.
I love thrift stores and it was mostly clothes, but now I look for home goods like picture frames, books or wall decor.
Everything in my home is thrifted.😊
I love that!!!
I love finding great things thrifting. Makes you feel so good when find that great wishlist piece. ❤️
$5.99 for a ginger jar???? ....OMG, i need that! lol
Your Thread Up outfits are absolutely adorable on you. Great finds.
Thank you!!
Wow! Your Goodwill has great prices compared to the ones near me.
Love love love!!!!!
I love thrifting plates and teacups
Just found your channel and i love it! I recently moved and I just went shopping and spent $55 on some house decor and i always look for khaki pants on half off for work.
I bought plates (from Goodwill) with floral patterns that I used for a baby shower. Afterwards, I donated the dishes back to the thrift store. It was much cheaper than renting.
Such a good idea! Yes!!👏🏼😍
Thats actually a genius idea!
Great idea
Omg this is such a great idea!
❤thrifting with you. You gave great tips on thrifting. Antique shops are some what more costly. Most of my home decor is thrifted. Lamps, art, mirrors, brass, copper, silver,. I am on the hunt for green home decor now. My style is eclectic, love mixing. I’m not a minimalist. I always enjoy watching you when you thrift. You have a great Salvation Army thrift shop.
Agree about lamps. That's a good deal on that Pampered Chef Small Batter Bowl. New price is $17 USD. Love the plates!
I like looking for decor for my home, I get lots of pics from Etsy and I love finding frames for then
I love thrifting silver and any glass dishes and bowls. Love Pyrex.
One of the difficulties I've had with Goodwill is the adhesive used in the price tags. They're often very hard to remove without damaging a piece (especially items such as books which can tear).
Try “Un-do”.
Folded down sides of a drawer are a must have in Europe, southern Europe at least. I love your videos I want to give you the European side of it. They are like french windows in cupboards!
Woden cutting boards are not allowed in Europe, unfortunately! And we praise good books, not for decor, we have hundreds of books at home, some for generations. It's a problem to buy ikea or the kind open shelves, they are not the ideal for us.
Thank you for the good decor ideas you gave me!
this was so soothing to watch!
The goodwill stores in my area used to be good, and you could find all kinds of nice stuff. Now the mostly sell clothes and junk. I haven't visited one since before covid
I am looking for sectional sofa cover for long time. Please help me to find. ❤❤❤
I love your style and your taste that tray I'm sure you're going to leave it that color it's gorgeous and it's perfect like you said for spring setting
Absolutely loved this video! Such good ideas. Thank you!
Where you from , your thrift store are filled with amazing items....
Kristen, I loved your approach with this video. You did a great job. Thank you. Donna xoxo
I agree "every home needs an atlas". Love the warm collected look
Kristen did you get engaged?! I spy a massive rock on your left hand when handling the tea cups about 2 mins in?? 😮😊
Great trip I love trays and tea cups.
Hi Kristen, another great one! thank you, many blessings.
Fantastic video to watch while you drink a coffee ☕️
Those plates are pretty for a tea party! 😊
Love the dinnerware. Thank you, Kristen for the suggestion for thrifting.
I would love thread up...but my body type is super hard to find clothes that fit well
Just found your channel & love thrift stores, although in my area is rather limited. My favorite items are unique, older glassware, any kitchen items. Found some Rosenthal crystal pieces, Papyrus green & white wine glasses. Just love them!! Really loved your lakehouse patio make over. Shared it with all my friends!
Thanks for the trip and the tips.
Our Goodwills never have such great stuff!
Art is well priced at Humanity Stores
yes, my favorite is, and I purchased crystal lamps one was like the one's at the thrift store you just showed us and the other is a crystal lamp that uses a night light. I still own my record player and of course my records. Kristen these vintage items are hard to find, you may open your own online shopping store.
I just bought those sconces for my kitchen❤️❤️❤️ they came in yesterday
I am new to thrifting but love it
I enjoyed this a lot.
I love the scale❤
Your thrilft stores have such goood. Stuff. 😮❤
Love the thrift trips. We’re expensive here on the west coast.
In my area in Massachusetts we have goodwill and savers also salvation army stores i love paints baskests trunks purses and other stuffs in a good price.
Love this vid so helpful love the measuring jug great finds 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🔥🔥🔥
Love these videos 👏 we have Frenchy’s here in Nova Scotia. Love that place!
Wish we had access to those thrift stores all the way here in South Africa.
Luv Thrifting! 👏👏👏👍💞
In Australia they dont allow electrical items to be donated or have in store that includes lamps.
Very nice
Tea cup set looks very cute. Putting my daily coffee mix in it *then* if drinking it will be goes good. I do not do thrifting.
Because i am allergic to all kinds of used products. Thus i just can not. Not relevant.
Were useful decoration items in frame and pieces. InteriorT never let me down.
Have expected week☆~★
In this informative video there was a beautiful wooden head board with a foot board. Can someone use just the headboard when setting up at home? or are both required for the to position properly? I'm asking because im not a fan of foot boards.
How do you get the sticker off the metal tray?
GoodWill items around my area have horrific junks nowadays. Goodwill in your area seems to have decent things. Goodwill at my area wouldn't even help test out the lamp base; I ended up leave it behind. Lately, GW over charged their items considering all items ate donated. They don't have high over head costs yet pay their employees poorly and most are people with physical challenges. They're a multimillion dollars corporation yet very greedy. I
stop shopped at Goodwill.
They have a wretched reputation, agreed. At least there are other options.
GW built THREE large stores in my area within the past few years, and marked up their prices to pay for it. But their stuff isn't anything special. I've had a much better thrifting experience with smaller local charities.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Don't compromise on style when you can have it all for less. Shop our budget-friendly home accessories and transform your space without emptying your wallet!
Thrift stores in England are so so tiny 😢
The prices on some antique are to high an it's used
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Anyone who knows where I can find a similar utencil holder like that one in 3:30min in??? I have been searching for an hour now without anything even remotely similar 😔
Hi Kristen, your Amazon storefront link isn't working for me? Not sure if it's me or the link. lol just wanted to let you know. Thanks.
Thank you for letting me know❤️ just changed it!
😃👍👍👍👍👍
Happy Sunday Kristen✌I like going to thrift shops they have really beautiful furniture just love your videos there so amazing💜
Buying books for colour? To 'decorate'? I thought books are valued for the content.. Sad
Thank you for bringing us on this trip. Those floral pattern plates from the first Goodwill you visited were SO pretty. ❤
Yes! Copper, clothing (especially for costumes) & baskets! I can't believe how expensive some baskets are! Check your thrift store first! Have a wonderful week Kristen!🎉
Hi Kristen, yes my favorite thing is furniture and or vases.I usually go to garage sales, thrift, stores or on Facebook market.❤
Thank you and love your videos 😊
That was so much fun! Decor and art are the things that usually catch my eye first.
Would a tour of your home be something you could share? You are so talented, and have wonderful, useful ideas. I love watching your videos. Thanks for the thrifting tour.
I love your ideas! I thrift for books and random knickknacks. I like going to yard sales for those things as well.
Don't forget frames! So expensive at retail.
Yes to thrifting. I am working in a small Montana town thrift store that everyone loves. Especially the prices. A grocery bag of books for $1. That makes redecorating a breeze. 😘
I love when people integrate those random items that everyone else overlooks for being ugly or old, but make it work perfectly in their space. Old floral crockery sets and glass tumblers are in every store and totally underrated!
I bought big heavy lamps for $12.99 each, painted them inkwell and updated the shades and they’re GORGEOUS. I just bought a large leather wrapped storage box and a large wooden tray for $2.99 each yesterday. I’ve also purchased a set of large onyx Restoration Hardware candle holders for $20. Goodwill never disappoints.
Another great video, as usual, Kristen. Thank you!! Love thrift stores and consignment shops. I look for everything...clothes, home decor, etc., but I especially still love/look for the old (15+ years) of pictures in their original decorative frames from Kirkland's and the like. I am lightening up my wall paint to make these pieces look fresh.
I thrift everything.
Happy Sunday Kristen🌻you always give out they best information 🦋💝🌻
Love this video! You should do more thrifting hauls - it’s so helpful to get inspiration from your finds!
I love thrifty!! I’m in there each week! tfs!! Nice stores!!
