Hi Dan.. Just a quick note At 8m.22s Speed warning for cur..... Is actually Curves not current.. When approaching a bend in the road ahead or "curve" it warns you with a beep. Great work on here and the QQ forums by the way.. I always post your clips for advice. You need to do a pollen filter change video as everyone always struggles with them by doing them the wrong way.. Cheers...
Yeah I worked out it's curves by the beeping at me when we were driving through Welsh country roads 😅 Thanks, I've just had the pollen filter changed as part of a full service!

Hey Dan! I'm a follower from Sri Lanka; and I love all these videos. I just purchased a UK Domestic Qashqai J11 2018 that was imported to Sri Lanka. Is there a way for me to load a Sri Lankan Map into the Nissan Connect system? Or a way to get the Google Maps app running on the system?

@@TheQashqaiGuy I once asked the dealer about the update. He told me it would cost €150. Then I asked how new these maps were, and he told me the update was 1 year old. €150 for maps that are already 1 year old, that's a waste of money. With Tomtom I get updated maps every 3 months, no extra fee.
Yeah the dealer prices are crazy. Like I said, if you did want to update the onboard nav, ebay is the place to go. They're roughly £30 for the latest official card. But of course if you find your to TomTom works for you, then stick with it ☺️
I drive a 2017 Qashqai 1.5. I get no warning when I overspeed even though I have the setting at On and Beep. What could be wrong? Thanks for all your help.
Hi I don't know if you've covered (or know) this... I haven't watched all through all of your (great) videos 🙂 We've the exact same model, a Tekna trim as yours, albeit a 131 hp 1.6 dCi. We had a serious problem with the navigation system that was growing worse by the week. It actually gave us wrong directions, started off in other countries and finally just frose completely. Being a software developer I thought the system would have some sort of factory reset, which it actually has.... buried somewhere in the menus. That didn't work however, so I tried pressing the "sound system off" button for a few seconds. Didn't work either. Then I held it down for like 10 whole damned seconds... and... it _actually worked_ !!! The system took quite a long time 10-20 seconds maybe, but it came up running again, and it really worked. !!!
Dear Dan , I am looking to buy a used 2019 diesel qashqai 1.5dci engine car , but i am a bit nervous about all this adblue system and the menus and other tech thing , I have a honest question would you recomend this car , My only concern is adblue syatem the rest normal wear and tear would be in any car , please help and ofcourse will join the club
Have you had the issue off the sat nav/radio cutting out? mines driving me mad it cuts out and then reboots. Nissan want to charge £99 to look at it, they can bugger off its a known problem that requires a free software update apparently.
That's the dealers trying to con you. Call Nissan UK customer services, Google it. They should give you a code or reference number to get the dealer to do it free of charge.

Quick question, Our X Trail makes a rather loud quick triple tone beep (high, low high) with no dashboard warning. It does not sound ominous, more like friendly. It makes this beeping randomly, even with the radio off, though the sound appears to come from the speakers. I noticed that when we arrive home it invariably makes that beeping. Could this be to let us know that we have arrived at a POI?
@@TheQashqaiGuy thanks Dan. Mine didn't come with either sadly. Did you do a video of your boot by chance? My boot has this fixed shell which I think the tools were supposed to be stored in but it's empty. Wondering what yours look like. Ps. Your videos are a life saver btw.

Now me not knowing anything about these I was wanting to ask you if there is any specific memory card that fits or do all the memory cards fit all. Hope you can help, cheers

Check to see if there's an update available for your unit via WiFi. As for vibrations, maybe get the wheels re balanced or alignment done.
Does it have appel car play?
Not my system. The connect 4 system does.
I had to buy a Tomtom because the maps in the Qashqai satnav are obsolete and don't know any road that was recently built.
It may be worth buying a newer sd card for your system.

I think you need to set a speed limit to get the warning. I just realized the option showed in this video is actually "speed warning for curve"

If it's a 2016 it'll most likely be the connect 3 system with the SD card slot next to the cd player

Adblue is used on lots of diesel cars now and seems to work with very few problems. Main thing to check is for a good service history.
I have an Aug 19 qashqai and it's a dream of a car. Absolutely marvellous and I recommend it. Hope you go for one

Does anyone have an annoying rattle/noise coming from the passenger air vent area? Driving me mad!
Hi bud. Check your air filter box, it's a common rattle point!
I lined the edge of mine with stick on foam which fixed it.

It could the the tight corner overspeed warning?

Sounds silly but if you have a tight 90 degree bend in a country road nearby, approach it a bit quick and see if it does it.

I'm not to clued up on the j10 model. I know that you can get some aftermarket units with inbuilt sat nav on eBay and Amazon.

Yeah j11 came out 2014
So both should be j10. I'd have thought the wiring will be the same but obviously can't guarantee it.
How do you update the maps?
If you have the SD card slot next to the cd drive then you can buy a new one from eBay or nissan.

Hi bud just make sure it's compatible with your system. Pretty sure yours will be a connect 3 system. eBay is best for value.
