Great two video's about the navigation. Navigation is pretty good, but I miss the option to enter coordinates for a destination in stead of city, street and number. A lot of companies advertise there coordinates and Garmin has this on its navigation already years. The irony is that once you have entered a city, street and number, the Nissan navigation can show you the coordinates, so the are in the system already somewhere. A missed change for a more user friendly operation.

You are doing a great job on Qashqai. Do you have a video on how to stop the mesaage, SECURE: System is locked. Red. Contact your Dealer. Presing the setting will make it go off for about 10 minutes and back again.
It will need recoding by Nissan. They should charge you a fee of 70-100 pounds

Hi is there a way to show the roads you should be on ? Like the way it zooms up with roundabouts?

This was incredibly helpful- thank you, Dan. Do you know whether the navigation is, or can be, updated to reflect live traffic information? I have my route set to "fastest", but the route it suggests is often different/ slower than what I can achieve using my phone (Google maps). Thank you

I think this system is rubbish got a new updated card and still it dont know places , i type something in and it will go to the nearest street with the similar name and wont let me put in the correct address

Hi Dan I have just purchased a used 65 Qashqai, I understand my doors should lock when I gain speed, mine dont lock.
Is there a way I can activate this autolock facility? Thankyou
Hi I don't think it's a feature of the UK model

Got a 2015 Qashqai and a compass appears on the dash screen can you tell me how to delete the compass please
Just tab up or down with the left switch
Can remove it by going to settings, display, contents selection
Hi Dan, we've picked up our 64 Plate Tekna Qashqui (J11) today and the sat nav seems to have a dislike for motorways without the minimise motorway option being selected. Do you have any ideas on how we can resolve this. Thanks for the great videos :)
What navigation mode do you have it set to? (Fastest, shortest,eco)
To be fair, it's not a great nav system. Ours overestimates travel time and give questionable directions all the time!
My wife often has her phone nav on instead !
@@TheQashqaiGuy Thanks for your reply. It was set to Fastest. I know (by reading forums) that the eco mode will try to divert from the motorway wherever possible too. Would it be worth doing a factory reset and if we did would we need the radio code? Thank you.
I think there's a reset to default option.

Is there away to Update the connect 3 v5 map card. I just brought a nissan qashqai its got a connect 3 v5 sd card but there couple new roads, roundabouts around my area and the map doesn't show them. the roads only got finished end of last year beginning of this year.
You'll need to purchase a new updated card. Nissan sell them for silly money so check ebay as there are a few sellers on there.
Hi Dan, I've got a 14 plate and live in London, do you know how to update maps to avoid congestion charge? Any maps I can buy, as always, very informative videos, great stuff!! 👍
I think the congestion charge should fall under the "avoid toll roads" option.

@@terryfitzsimmons4180 As long as its listed for your system it should work. Yours should be a connect 3 i believe. Quite a few listings show what systems it works for.
