This menu can be really useful if you need to check the status of various gps, radio and input signals. Most useful though is the battery monitor, where you can check to see the power level in your car battery!

Absolute Genius. I can try that now on our 2015 x trail as it is exactly same system. Kind regards Sir.
Only 12V status and maybe screen calibration are useful. 12V because you can see the charge voltage so you know that is ok.
The other Service menu is Press and Hold "Day/Night"+ENTER. Looks like this menu but you can see more on FM/DAB/TMC etc. With ENTER you can go through some screens. It looks like you can change settings there but if you restart the radio (long press ON/OFF) you will see changed values back to the old values. So better not mess with it.
Btw fw D605 is perfect. Thanks for that. I came from D053 (2014!!!)
Great stuff! Could you possibly make a video about changing the default air conditioner setting. Mine is set at Auto at a specific temp etc, but I have a webasto system that I'd want to use a different setting, but it always uses the default.
Hi thanks for all these videos and info, great work. I have a problem, Nissan QQ 2017 just reversed out of supermarket and no cameras working, nothing even when pushing camera button, also all the radio and console buttons are not illuminated. The Aircon part is all still illuminated, just everything above is not. This has literally just happened now for the first time ever! Any ideas what this could be??

I have 2014 qq with folding mirrors. Can this be programmed to fold mirrors in automatically when I turn engine off?
Unfortunately it wasn't added to the 2014 models (it was 2015 onwards)
So the only way is by fitting the module from alliexpress
As a first time QQ owner this week, I am finding these videos absolutely brilliant - thank you! Ps….you wondered what telematics are within this menu? Isn’t telematics just the fancy word for Black box? So maybe would the system link to a black box for recording driving data? Dunno….

I became a qashqai owner last weekend. Having issues setting up nissan connect services on my phone, keeps informing me my vin is wrong. Car is a 2016. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks
@@robertbowden6749 those services have been discontinued. I have a 2016, worked for a bit but not now. Your not missing anything though, very primitive trip advisor and Facebook. Great car otherwise
I have fitted a new stop start battery to my qashqai 1.6dci. Do i need to program the battery as i still have stop start error message.
Does any update improve usb usability? In terms of recognising any and all usb sticks including mini usb sticks?
I've got a new Micra that doesn't have android auto, going to see if this helps somehow.
My 2014 radio looks nothing like yours crediting the lack of any twisted knobs and no setup button.
Any way of clearing the persistsnt low keyfob battery warning when youve changed the battery and verified its working and reading 3.2V?

What lead me to your video was a random issue I faced with my nissan qashqai Tekna+ 2018 last night,
So my 360 camera randomly stopped working in reverse gear and via the "camera" hard button, also the lights within the radio, camera sat nav and set up part of the unit failed to light up 🤔 not the first time I've seen these lights fail and resurrect randomly but definitely a first the camera and camera button playing dead 😳
On a quick check this morning the lights turned on but I'm still to confirm if the camera will operate..
Any suggestions or tips?

Ever since i've had my Qashqai (2016) Nissan have said they cannot find a problem with my radio, even though it constantly crashes, bluetooth auto freezed and the unit reboots. Time to try some software updates. Thank you so very much!
Mine was doing that, I did a factory reset and it is now fine, well worth a try.

hi, my dab radio hasn't been working for a while now. i came across this video, so i went to the self test on my car and my dab antenna says "short" instead of OK. is there any chance someone could tell me what that means?

time interval is to say the system on wich GPS round we are, GPS systems counts time using weeks (from 0) during 19,6 years, after that the number will be at the maximum countable for the system (1023) so need to be rolled back to 0. So not so smart GPS systems wich survive from a rollover to the next one will have some troubles showing on which date and time it is.

Is your time of arrival correct when you set up your GPS to an address? Min shows about 20min for a long time.
No, the standard nav is really bad, I use my phone instead for long journeys

If it's not working at all then I'd suggest getting a replacement, look at aftermarket stereos as they'll be better and cheaper.

Can you do a video of how to get the interior lights working. Fuses seem ok. Also the daytime running lights don’t work. They briefly come on when unlocking the car and stay on briefly but then turn off after a few seconds. There is also an issue with the cruise control light flashing and not setting. Speed limiter works ok. Any help on this would be appreciated
If all interior lights aren't working check the switches as they do fail.
The DRLs should stay on when engine is running
Cruise control not working would need a diagnostic check with a reader.
@@TheQashqaiGuy how should I check if the switches are ok ? DRL only come on for a few seconds but go off when I start the car.

My engine management orange light comes on , been told it’s O2 sensor , model Nissan Qashqai j11 2016 1.6 , is this sensor a common problem, had around 10 diagnostic resets carried out aft mechanic, tightening wires around engine. Any ideas,
I've heard a few people with that issue yes, I don't have any experience with it as mines the 1.5
Yes have the same problem.Car now 5 years old .Had replacement sesor a system update and a wiring check.Still have an intermitent error light,reset it myself using a cheap unit.The light can come on after 100 miles or it can go months ,very frustrating ,It is going in for its yearly service next month, I will see what excuse they have this time.

Great video, my son has a j11 Qashqai on a 2017 plate, he has 2 problems the warning beeps when reversing and the indicators ticks are very quiet? is this a common fault with the Qashqai? what can he do to fix the problems
When you say warning beeps do you mean the sensors are beeping when there's nothing there or they're quiet? Or something else
As for the indicators I'm not too sure where the sound actually comes from

Hi, I have a 2018 Juke. nav seems to be the same as yours from your videos. I have managed to turn off the audio on the sat nav. radio is ok. when using sat nav the bar at the top of the screen says AUDIO OFF. and you cant hear the voice instruction. I cannot find out how to turn it back on. Not a big issue but it is very annoying. I dont know how I managed to turn it off either. any ideas??
Press the power button.
If you haven't fix it yet, you adjust the sat nav audio when she's talking. You might have turned it down while she was talking without realising.
This maybe a silly question but how do I turn the stereo completely off? When I do press the on/off button it’s only the audio that goes off, the sat nav screen is always on once my key is still in the ignition and my car is still on….
No such thing as a silly question bud.
Just hold the brightness button for a few seconds

It essentially turns off the screen.

Potentially, best thing is to give Nissan UK a call and they'll tell you from your reg or vin number

You mean the loom plug at the back?
sorry it went wrong I mean the wiring connecting the mirror module the loose wires so the gray - white - and pink and on the module the gray that is not in my list so which wires I should connect them to pink is current that knows I just closed the door and if not you snao you what I mean you also connected a module hence and coincidentally I also have a red qashqai from 2015
Unfortunately the wires are all black, you just need to trial each one.

Not on this unit no. A few people have upgraded to the Dasaita stereo found on Amazon but it's not cheap!

Unfortunately it's not working on 2019 facelift models too - there is no setup button!
Hi. On the newer model, hold the home/menu button then turn the right knob left, right, left. I'll do an update video soon
Are they voice activated hands free?
Not in my model but I believe the newer ones have it. You can use the phone assistance (google/siri) by long pressing the phone button.
Not so much connected to this video but I just installed the dynamic wing mirror indicators. Pretty easy and look soooooo much better. Well worth it.
Oh like the Audi indicators? I must say I am tempted...
@@TheQashqaiGuy yes. The ones that light up from inside and move to the outside. Really nice. And pretty easy. And not even expensive really. Well worth doing.
