I just came across your other video which i new one on Tucson like i said there tq again for this informative video, also do same kind of videos on all cars that as possible for you.
Hello Ed, thanks for the helpful video. I just got a Tucson Hybrid N. Any idea how I can get a digital speed reading on the cluster? The configuration I'm looking for would have a analog speedo and tach but also a digital display of the MPH. Additionally, my dream set up would have a small gas motor- battery power bar at the bottom of the right side (I've seen this somewhere before).
Unfortunately you can't have a digital and analogue speedometer at the same time... Only one or the other. Not sure what the other thing is that you're referring to.
your video was very helpful-I just purchased my 2025 Tucson-there are so many features, its hard to learn them all quickly-this is a great video to refer to-saving it for sure
There's a button somewhere in the center console usually. Depends on the vehicle. It'll look like the letter A with a circle around it, and it says off underneath that. It's only temporary, the next time you start the vehicle it will be back on (government regulation) Honestly, I'd recommend just getting used to it. You'll note that the second you start to move the brake pedal in the upward direction, the engine will fire back up. So if you're at a left turn signal for instance and you want the engine on just lift up a tiny bit enough to kick it back on. Ignore the myths that it's bad for the engine, that's just a bunch of hogwash.
Nope CCNC is new hardware. However, check the video description for a link to Linkifun where they sell Android AI adapters, giving you wireless carplay/AA and full Android OS on your car's screen.
Great video! So many of the videos of the ccnc system show the "home" screen defaulting to the 1st page (map, audio, etc). Mine defaults to the 2nd page requiring a swipe right to get to the first page. Any ideas on how to change this? Thanks!
Thanks for all the info. I noticed when you talked about the radio some of the stations had their station icons visable. Do you know how to add these? My new Santa Fe only has music symbols and I'd like to add the station icon. Cheers.
Just got a 2025 Santa Fe, same UI. You did a great job of going through this. One question though-when I start up my car, I'm automatically on the second page of the UI. Is there any way to default to the first page of the UI?
i got hyundai tucson 2025 n line. is there a way to lock the rear seat heater.?? kids are playing with it. sometimes they leave it open . worried it consumes a lot of fuel
It basically consumes no fuel.... Don't worry. You might see a 0.01% drop in efficiency ☺️ When you turn the car off, then back on, they'll be off by default.
Thanks for the informative video! I have a 2025 hybrid ultimate and was wondering if there is any way to have the radio show the song title and artist. I can’t seem to see how this can be done. Any ideas?? The picture (album cover etc) shows up on the Sirius XM channels but not for the FM channels.
You can't... However if you get a Faraday pouch for your key, that effectively will do the same thing as it will stop the vehicle from seeing your key. Get one here: amzn.to/4gIJP5c
@@edsgarage001 I noticed that the faraday pouch does not block the keyless entry. I can still get into the car. The only thing I noticed is that you cannot start the car. When you open the faraday pouch and start the car, if you put the key fob back into the pouch, the car does not flash to say the key is not available. You can still drive the vehicle.
Hello again Ed. Kind of off topic but do you know if the windshield washer nozzles can be adjusted on the 2025 Tucson? Mine do not hit the windshield correctly and I'd like to "aim" it better. Thanks!
Not really, however if you find that they're pointed too low, I had the same problem with my ioniq6. So what I did was I took the lid from an ice cream bucket, cut little square pieces of plastic from that and tucked them underneath the nozzles to point the nozzles up a little bit more.
2025 Tucson convenience. What is the thing that looks like a microphone slot on the passenger side above the left side of the glovebox? Also, how can we default the home screen to page 1 vice page 2?
I believe that's actually a temperature sensor for the dual zone climate control. Unfortunately there is no way to have the stereo system default to one screen or another when powering on.
Just bought the 2025 Tucson Hybrid Limited...on the split home screen while driving (map & audio), is there a way to set that map background so that it matches the setting of the big navigation map?
Hi. I have just purchased the same vehicle you're showing us. I've noticed on profile settings that I've had re-pair the phone a couple of times when the user profile has been changed. Have you any ideas on why this is? Cheers 👍
People have different preferences so say I am tall and like to listen to music on pandora and my wife is shorter and she likes to listen to Sirius XM you use the profile to set individual preferences so when you get on the car all you do is select your profile.
Fantastic information! Thank you! Is there a way to deactivate the TPMS (Tire pressure monitor)?? I ask for those of us who put on winter rims and tires that do NOT have TPMS valves. Thanks in advance.
Any tips regarding the "Homelink" remote garage opener on the rear view mirror? Ive followed the manuals instructions to the letter and i am not getting any response (no lights on mirror). I don't think the engine has to be on. The manual says start/stop button should be in accessory position. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I continue to thank you for this video. I had my car in to get front 3M protection on the front of the car and apparently the 12V battery died and needed a boost!!?? Any idea how this could have happened? Open doors shouldn't do it, the radio wasn't on. Any idea?
The open doors shouldn't do it as the vehicle has a system that shuts off the interior lights after "x" amount of minutes if the doors are open in order to not deplete the 12V battery. I find some references on the internet forums about Tucsons needing to be boosted after seemingly inconsequential things. My drive battery was at 12% at the time perhaps that was it as it could not "help" the 12V. The manual says that the drive battery will help the 12V in certain conditions in order to avoid it running down. If the 12V dies, the vehicle will need to be boosted in order to start it.
@ochar4633 yeah on the EVs, if the main battery is below 20% it won't charge the 12v unless it's running. On top of that, the 12v is pretty small. Also, if the doors are open, then closed and opened again, the timer resets. So it could very much be the interior lights that did it.
I drive a Kona, the tech is great but way too many warnings to the point the warnings actually become distracting themselves. Example, I don't need "bing bing" warning each time I drive by a school or have traffic lights ahead. It's overkill, hopefully with enough feedback the excessive warnings will get addressed. Overall it's a very clever product.
Within the map application, there is a day and night mode option. However in the regular infotainment system menus there is no such option. It's always dark... This is just the design that decided to go with.
Really appreciate your extremely thorough videos. New to Hyundai and took possession of a 2025 Santa Fe Calligraphy hybrid last week. Disturbing issue: with “Forward Attention Warning”, on certain occasions the screen will flash that I’m not paying attention, and the cruise will shut down. I’m not blocking the sensor, and can assure that I’m definitely paying attention to the road. This can be dangerous. Apparently I’m not the only one because the Hyundai youtube channel has a number of complaints over this issue-with no helpful response from Hyundai. Apparently “turning FAW off” makes no difference when Smart Cruise Control and Lane Following assist are on, (P. 7-65 of the Sante Fe Hybrid 2025 Abridged Owner’s Manual) Any ideas? Thanks.
Wow, this is a new one for me... Actually it's a new one for Hyundai as well. They only just started adding the eye tracking sensor, so my guess is there will be some bugs to work out with that system.
@@edsgarage001 Understood. Absolutely hands on the wheel at "ten and two" and looking straight down the road. As mentioned in my earlier comment, there are plenty of other folks on the Hyundai youtube channel experiencing the same problem. This is dangerous and a deal-breaker if they don't get this sorted out, either with a software update or allowing us to actually disable the FAW, without disabling the adaptive cruise. I have filed this "issue" with Hyundai USA, and we'll see what they say. This is technology gone out of control. With my seven year old Honda CR-V, an alert would come on and I could simply dismiss it, indicating that I was indeed paying attention.
The walk away thing is overrated tbh... I bought a Rivian a couple months ago, and it does that. But I'm always wondering if my doors are actually locked. As for WiFi.... Do you mean the Wi-Fi hotspot? Or wireless carplay/AA?
For HDA settings, I recommend the reaction setting to be on slow or middle. Why? Because this setting affects not only acceleration but also deceleration. When a vehicle suddenly cuts in front of you, the slow and middle settings will react quickly. The fast setting causes the car to decelerate abruptly when it gets sufficiently close to the vehicle that has cut in. I do not recommend using the fast setting.
Been driving a Hyundai with this setting this way for nearly 8 years. I've never had an issue with that. If the complaint is that it doesn't slow down fast enough, then you need to remember that the car isn't there to drive you. You're there to drive the car.
@@edsgarage001 Read the manual. It clearly explains what can happen if you use the fast setting. Rapid acceleration and deceleration significantly impact fuel efficiency. Just like the fuel efficiency of a heavy foot. Plus, wouldn’t it be better for the dealer to set it up in a way that prevents customer complaints?
