  • The Minecraft difficulty levels need a revamp, and that includes Keep Inventory. Almost no other game punishes the player this harshly without having maps, waypoints, fast travel, etc.

you can make protected travel tunnels in the nether.
that way you can travel long distances easily.
also minecraft main mobs are lame, you can just run away from them, or hide easily.
but i dont play minecraft anyway, so idk

I use Keep Inventory true in Java because my manual dexterity has declined. It's an accessibility issue for some people, and good luck attacking people for that.

I feel like you might misunderstand minecraft the same way I fear Microsoft might misunderstand minecraft.
Minecrafts big strength is the combination of simplicity and modability.
The game doesn't dictate what to do and how to play.
Most people play the game modded.
I know people who only play bed wars while for me personally, this seems boring.
Minecraft is in a way an accessible game engine.
Minecraft vanilla has the basics. If you want to keep your inventory on death, just enable it.
But criticising minecraft because it doesn't cater to your playstyle by default doesn't make sense.
If you want portals, a minimap and similar stuff. Mod the game. It has never been easier.
The video just feels like you're trying to excuse your use of the keepInventory command. But you don't need to do that. Why would you? If you enjoy playing that way, just do it.
Whoever is being condescending towards players using features that make the game "easier" is just stupid.
Let people play the way they want.
One thing I am on board with you is:
    1. Enableing keepInventory on easy and normal
    2. Vanilla maps are a mess.
    tldr;
    1. Minecraft is fine as it is. It doesn't need to cater to your playstyle by default!
    2. You can (and should) customize your experience through commands or mods.
    3. Let people play however they want. Don't be an asshole.
