I'm a vet and kicking Joe out of that round was absolutely stupid. His pitch was hilarious and anyone who got offended needs to pull their panties up and deal with it.
I'm also a vet and there was nothing offensive about his pitch. It was meant as comedy. The whole context is silly and he even quickly clarified of course he isn't demeaning service members. The movie was not a true story btw. People need to stop kissing the ass of veterans, they are assholes too just like everyone else,
Also a veteran here, and I agree that it IS a ridiculous premise--at least for the military that we have now. Even if he would have lost this round, I still would have liked to hear the argument. :'/
Andy, you owe Joe Star a serious and public apology. You are supposed to judge what is said, not personal opinion. He was going to explain himself. You should have let him finish speaking and allowed him to defend himself from your anti-vet accusations.
yeah, he did the same thing last time and it's so dumb. He's not disrespecting anyone, he's just trying to answer a question that is clearly a joke and ridiculous.
Poorly poorly handled by Andy the dictator kicking out Joe. you knew the answers before hand, if you didn't like them you should have told Joe before the show or changed the question on the show. If you're going to kick him out then you should've left as well since you're as much to blame as he was.
I'm kinda really upset that Joe got kicked out after winning on a religion based on not taking things seriously! He completely set us up for following his jokes to success, and Andy immediately forgot all about that from the previous question.
And then that happened instead. I honestly thing Saving Private Ryan with dog would be way better than Pawcific Rim, or taken. Once again the round got caught up on Mance's weird answer and no one responded to the other movies.
Jeremy Lefevre Andy really needs to apologize for that. I am A veteran and I am more offended that they didn't let Joe argue when this is a non serious show. There are lots of good dog soldiers. Hello! They even made a movie about one.
Travis Hightower +Lucyfrmearth Right, all he was saying is we'd rather save the only talking dog soldier than one of many million human soldiers. Turning a movie into a talking dog movie that sounds like a great premise..
I sometimes find Joe a lil annoying, but I think he was completely screwed over in this, and I don't mean just in the game! He made what any rational person would realise was a JOKE and he was booted out without having any chance to clarify! Andy made him appear to be saying it was face-value! If you want to kick him out of the round, do it at the end of it, but stopping the round and getting him out of there made what was SO CLEARLY A JOKE seem serious! Which is weird as you guys were seemingly completely fine with the Nazi stuff that followed later in the show. Really odd decision imo. Not surprised he left straight after as he was completely humiliated by the other idiots saying that he was "disrespecting the troops". You completely buried the guy!
Not to mention the fact they know what answers they guys are going to give beforehand and could have raised any concerns off air. That whole part of the show seemed contrived, almost scripted to me.
I disagree, I think jokes can go too far (just ask anyone who has been verbally bullied) and in the past, they might have felt they were walking a little too close to that line. At first glance, it might seem innocent which is why it was accepted as an answer, to begin with, but the response from the other contestants and the fan cam kind of showed that maybe the answer inherently wasn't going too far but there was a good chance that it would in the argument, maybe not by Joe himself either. Joe might have thought it through and came up with an argument that would not be offensive but there is no predicting what the other contestants might say or come up with on the spot and what knee jerk comeback might come from it. On the flip side, the other contestants might also feel like they have to be more cautious with the way they fight him in that battle.
Even given that argument though, the way in which he was ejected as if he had done something heinous was way over the top, the way Andy phrased it suggested he was being thrown out for "disrespecting the troops". He wasn't given the chance to think of another or come back in another round, he was disqualified from the tournament. Still completely unfair and OTT
A lot of people I know love Saving Private Ryan for its realism of war. Many WWII vets say that the film illustrated d-day perfectly, and Joe saying that the movie is unrealistic and the story-line would never happen in real-life was going to tick someone off. his pick was in bad taste but he shouldn't have been kicked out of there and insulted by the others.
The Parr Family (The Incredibles) would be a pretty cool family to be part of. Or maybe Vin Diesel's Furious Family, since he doesn't have friends, they're all family.
military and police dogs are considered actual members of those forces. I think it was offensive to military dogs to kick out joe star. I'm so offended!
I was US Infantry for six years, fought both in Iraq and Afghanistan. Nothing Joe said offended me or was insulting to veterans. I understand that Saving Private Ryan was based on a true story, but that was a congressman using one soldiers situation for their political agenda. If a soldier in a K9 unit tells his dog "We'll get through this buddy," and the Golden Retriever turned to his handler and spoke "Acutally, I think we're screwed this time," Then sending a unit in to retrieve a talking dog is more believable than pretending like the original premise of the film is a normal event. It was a bizarre one fueled by political gain rather than army doctrine.
Juan Salvador Valverde Also, thinking about the movie itself: Matt Damon's role would not suffer if it was played by a dog. That show judge guy is shit.
What was the issue with the saving private ryan dog replacement? In the movie they were aware of how all of the efforts put into returning one person home in the midst of a war was ridiculous. Really weird to bring "liberal ideologies" in here, Grailsarvas, as the idea of glorifying anything done by American troops and past, present and future is an extremely conservative concept.
I feel awful for Joe, it was a silly question that everyone was giving joke answers for and everyone there implied he was insulting veterans. That goes beyond a game, if I were him I'd never go on the show again.
I think it was a smart move on Andy's part. he could see how the arguments were going to go after Joe said They wouldn't save him just cause hes some lady's last son. he was up against the 2 worst people for that as well, Andreyko and Spencer have no qualms about going heel to make you look like a shit person.
I feel bad for Joe but I think Andy did the right thing as a moderator. Their audience is fairly large. They have to be careful because of that. While Joe gave a joke answer, it was already a little too close to the "Uh oh" line that Andy did what he thought was best to make sure it didn't go way too far by the time the fight was over.
I think it was wrong, he kick him off because he misunderstood the situation. He shouldn't have play the "Respect the veterans" card to avoid the criticism of the U.S. War Economy.
What can you do, Americans are weird about their super intense patriotism and militarism. People giving up their lives for others is something to be respected, but the idea that it can't be criticised or parodied is kind of a dangerous way of thinking. And yet, it didn't surprise me at all. Just disappointing.
#SavingPoorJoe What a horrible decision to kick him out on his awesome premise, and even worse, what a horrible horrible way to humiliate your own colleague in front of the whole world like that. GTFO Andy, this show deserves a better judge
Haleem ul Hassan That is the biggest slap to the face that more people need to notice; Andy publicly humiliated Joe. Up until this point Ive actually been one of the people who enjoy Andy. That is no longer the case because he is a damn asshat
I have to chime in and echo what so many others have already commented: kicking off Joe Starr before he could argue his choice was misguided and tasteless. Just because the others started tearing into his argument, Andy just had to jump on that wagon and take it to such a serious level. If you did your homework and his pick bothered you that much, nix it before the show goes live. The show should be fun.
I can understand why Joe left. It can't feel good to be accused of taking an anti-vet stance. OTOH, I thought he should have been eliminated the round before with his really dumb Ace Ventura religion thing.
Huh...and here I thought my girlfriend went to Afghanistan as a medic to help heal people. Good to know she was shooting at brown people for oil. You've changed my entire view on life!
Yang-Gee Nam Yeah. There's been a tonne of answers regarding WW2 movies, and jokes about Schindler's List & that one Nazi-baby movie pitch w/ the pregnant Nazi woman running away but Oh God, someone suggested saving an army dog? & the reaction was so OTT & I'm not shocked he left. That was... really odd.
Really? Kicking Joe out, just because he replaced Private Ryan with the dog? He's right, the movie is unrealistic and not very good, and just because its "based on true events" (which isnt really right) its not a good reason to kick him out. Thats not objective enough, and to patriotic for me. It ruined the whole fight. I'm out of this.
Multiple cases in US military history, where brass has tried to save the last of blood lines during war. also, I say he got cheated out, but the events that taken place have actually happen a decent amount.
redxix88 I know, it's really unfortunate. I watch other screen junkies shows plus shows with Andy in them predominantly and he's a really nice, a-dork-able type of guy who's genuinely funny, but he so frequently misunderstands things and states the questions improperly, putting the fighters at a disadvantage... Dan (as grumpy as he gets) and Spencer are the only clear sighted level headed guys on staff
55:52 A joke that compares talking out of your ass to Catholicism (1 billion followers/worshipers), doesn't get you kicked out. 1:03:00 A joke answer to a joke question, revolving around a fictional story about WWII soldiers, gets you kicked out.
I saw why he did that, the veteran thing would have spiraled out of control quickly. But he could have done other things like force him to choose another movie or dismiss that round.
blusafe1 You are right, it was a hot potato issue, and I agree, he should have handled it a bit more diplomatic fashion, perhaps he was caught off guard
blusafe1 yeah, I'm going to agree with this. It's a very touchy subject and could have easily gotten out of hand, but should have been handled very very differently instead of the shit show Andy created. Don't they email in their answers before the show? They didn't see this coming?
It is touchy lol idk if you guys watch the other videos but Joe doesn't take his fights seriously. He jokes a lot in his fights (which is not a bad thing) but I think he would've said some cringeworthy things.
Hi Screenjunkies. I'm a huge fan, and I watch every episode. I don't comment much though, since I keep my opinions to myself mostly. But kicking Joe out due to his pitch was unfair and he was treated extremely poorly. Respecting veterans is important, but the question is about a talking dog, and its supposed to be taken in the way the question is phrased - lightly and casually. He didn't mean any disrespect to the vets, and I'm sure that Saving the Golden Retriever Ryan would have made for a fun and interesting topic to debate on. I know that the judge is the final decision, but this decision was absolutely unfair and my support goes out wholeheartedly to Joe. On a very instinctive level, this move hurt me and I hope you guys don't end up losing fans over unfair judgments. Thanks.
It was out of place, not said in the argument, not mentioned by anyone at all, wasn't relevant, and is someone bringing conflict that was obviously never intended in the first place. Any movie pre like the last 5 years is obviously going to be "transphobic" since it wasn't something tackled by our society yet
The fact that Andy kicked Joe off of the show is ridiculous. Andy is literally the worst part of this show and I hope he lets someone else judge in future episodes.
Kicking Joe was fucked up. Would have been easy enough to boot him based on the argument at the end of the fight since "last survivor" was an actual policy in the US army at the time, but no, you have to go all righteous and shut down debate and comedy on a show that is supposed to be about both. Buuuuhhhh Andy, buuuuhhhh. Thumbs way down.
I completely disagree. I respect what you're trying to say but when Joe said that he couldn't understand why the military would send a group of soldiers to save one of their own because he was her last son, that was out of line. Not just bc it was an actual regulation of the military during the darkest times in history but bc it was an actual true story and he disregarded the bond and loyalty soldiers have for one another. i didn't think it was enough to get him kicked out but I thought it was enough to have him lose the round.
Yup. Humor, at its core, IS offensive. IT WAS A JOKE QUESTION. PC is damaging the way people think and to see the nervousness and groupthinking we all need to avoid rear its ugly head in a show I enjoy is disheartening. You f'ed up, Andy Signore. Quit being such a fuddy duddy.
What I don't get is, don't they give their answers in advance to make sure that the other players don't have the same answer.... so why didn't they tell Joe when he gave his answer before the show "Hey that might offend our veteran how about pick a different one.".... instead of getting butt-hurt about it on a internet show and looking like a massive prick
I don't think it was his pick as much as what he said to support it afterward that did it, but I'm new to this so I have no idea the particular nuances that go on with this show.
Andy really looks like a prick, it was Joes answer and it was good enough. That "we do not disrespect our veterans" bullcrap only shows how blind he is regarding dumb patriotism. Disappointing, ruined a otherwise funny episode.
Grailsarvas, Pretty sure she made that argument because a lot of movies contain extreme violence. Not penis mutilation, no, but violence is not unusual in movies at all. She was going for a more psychological sort of torture (though I still think her whole choice of movie and argument sucked). Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think she was going for a "torture all the dicks!"-argument.
Most ridiculous thing ever to happen on ANY SJ production. Political correctness of mega idiocy. The hypocrisy sometimes is like a tsunami of turds. Andy you have the ego of a Michael Bay movie.
LOLZ love your comment!!! Andy really gets me mad sometimes, he comes across a bit douchie. When he makes a ruling that I don't like I just exit the video.
This is probably the first time I agreed with the majority opinion in the comments section. It's OK to make fun of global religions but not US soldiers? Total BS.
The biggest problem with their "judging on arguments" is that they judge it from their point of view. Andy has his own point of view while everyone else there has own point of view. Makes all the difference. And you can notice this very well with that speed round bargen bin twist. I think that guy said that he would give that "fat wedding something movie" to his family BECAUSE THEY LIKE THOSE KIND OF MOVIES. So that is a GOOD GIFT. Other members there see that movie as bad movie personally and they see this as bad gift. Its two different personal opinion on same thing. Then again, sometimes people ignore arguments and just choose based on what they think would go with as if they are answering. I agree with Dan's point of view there for example. But most were other way around. Ofc you will get people who do not agree with judgment because if its about taste, its almost impossible to have 100% of people being on same side. And I feel like its hard to judge those things xD. Its what Andy THINKS is best argument and also probably one he THINKS most people would agree with.
10thplague Entertainment seriously....it's frustrating to watch this channel sometimes specifically because he can't follow his own rules of "based on the arguments" he just picks what he likes. also, as soon as JTE corrected him on how the genre relates to the premise, I knew he was a goner lol.
I know this episode happened a while ago, but I only just watched it now. I have to say that I'm very disappointed in the treatment Joe received. His answer was never fully explained, and to be honest, I think it got completely misconstrued. We're talking about a very silly question; replacing the main character in a movie, with a talking dog. How can you ask such a question, and not take the answers lightly? It was completely unfair. Lighten up guys!
Vansmackable I like Spencer, I think he was just carrying on with the joke, and wasnt actually offended. I cant believe that they kicked Joe off for that
Legitimately disappointed that Joe was kicked out for the Saving Private Ryan pick. It was a ridiculous question, and his answer was the most amusing. This shows best moments derive from those sorts of things
Thumbs down for Joe being kicked out mid-round for what is clearly a joke. Joe is owed an apology for how he was treated, especially when you know what the answer is going to be before they say it!
Why kick Joe out? Joe clearly said that he respected the vets but believe at as a FILM saving private ryan would be better with a talking dog. So what? Film is art and it's allowed to be critiqued and reinterpreted however anyone pleases and that's what joe did. Andy clearly let his personal bias get in the way of his judgement and humiliated Joe (I felt embarrassed for him so imagine how he must've felt). Andy didn't even give Joe an opportunity to justify his answer. A very low moment in movie fights, I honestly had to stop watching for a while after seeing that because it was that bad to me.
Is it just me who really doesn't enjoy listening to any of Scott's arguments...? Replacing Joe for Scott was ridiculous as well. Don't take yourself so seriously guys!
I hope you guys apologise to Joe after this, that was awful. Trying to make him look bad and literally kicking him out for making a joke on a comedy show - shameful display really.
Yeah, I thought it was a very funny idea. Veterans aren't bad I don't think that was what he was saying. He was only trying to hype a silly talking dog movie. That was a real bummer. I wanted to hear him fight for that. Joe is always so great. I imagine the trailers for this being the most dramatic thing ever and then there is a dog with a slightly askew helmet and a cigar sticking out of his mouth XD
Yeah I'm still trying to understand why Andy did that. It's true that logistically speaking, it isn't realistic for an entire team of soldiers to all risk their lives just to save one. Anyone who knows a thing about WW2 knows that (and the movie is very loosely based on a true story, loosely). Regardless, switching Private Ryan with a talking dog isn't in any way disrespectful to veterans and I think Joe didn't deserve to get kicked out for ANSWERING THE QUESTION.
I think it was not personal at all. It was just a show. At least I hope that's what it was. Otherwise it would be very stupid move by Andy. There are many other ways to resolve this issue - since it was pointed out and seen as issue by Andy. But it doesnt really matter one or other. Quite sure they wont become enemies or something now, lol. Its not like they are two kids...
@ Mary Lohe There is plenty of logic behind it. It boosts morale having soldiers know that they won't be left behind and that their country and government actually cares about each of them. Soldiers with a high morale are many times better fighters than soldiers with low morale. It's not as simple as saying 5 lives are worth more than 1 life. And if we are talking a numbers game, the characters in SPR killed way more Nazi's than lives lost themselves.
Eric Staples Look, special snowflake, that all sounds really nice and sweet, morale boosts and candy canes. But that's Hollywood. The reality of war is much, much harsher than that. In WW2, soldiers' morale was Commanders and Generals' last concern. SPR is very loosely based on a true story, but the person on who it's based, Edward Niland, was a prisoner in a Japanese POW camp and was liberated towards the end of the war. There was never a special mission, to rescue a special soldier, to boost morale and all that bullshit. And since I don't feel like typing anymore, here are some links for you. mentalfloss.com/article/65611/15-fascinating-facts-about-saving-private-ryan en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niland_brothers www.buffalo.edu/ubreporter/archive/vol30/vol30n2/n3.html Notices the terms LOOSELY BASED always being used. Last but not least, it's Nazis not Nazi's. Learn how apostrophes work.
Disliking for Joe, I hope the channel actually voices a public apology, that was horrible enough to watch, i cant imagine how bad it would have been for poor Joe. Does anyone know what happened, a few comments said stuff about him leaving the show after? Whats that about?
lol andy is literally the creator of screen junkies. He employs all of these people, so you cannot simply leave a comment asking for him to be removed.
There is a difference between being "offended"/"triggered" and being open to the idea that the plot to a much beloved film might be objectively insensitive. I actually thought Joe had the strongest argument, believe it or not. That said, if I had gotten in there, I'd have replaced Mark Wahlberg's character in Boogie Nights with a Golden Retriever. #whatagoodboy #averyverygoodboy
I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that Joe got eliminated for being "disrespectful" but Mike was fine for saying he wants to be in a family trying to escape Nazi Germany is just jokey enough...
man you his destroyed Joe. Its one thing to disagree with him but that dude was so embarrassed and you guys just fed him to the wolves. i love this group of people but i would never return if i was Joe.
Taking out Joe because of the dog question was stupid, if it is offensive to substitute a soldier with an animal, it would be equally as offensive to substitute any other person, wether he or she is a veteran or not. If that´s the matter, the whole question should be changed.
Actually, the worst movie to torture someone with is 'Minions'. At the end of your torture session, you'll end up brain-dead only able to say "Banana!" for the rest of your life.
Yeah as a Vet I have to say none of us were insulted. 1. Saving Private Ryan was very very very slightly based on a true story but was 90% fictional. Its not like he said Flags of our Fathers or Black Hawk Down or any other war movies actually telling a true story.
This is the first Movie Fights video I have watched in several months. It was my hope that Andy would improve in his role as host of the show, but this has clearly not happened. His decision to eliminate Joe was clumsy and misguided, to the point where his respect for veterans appears feigned.
Andy this was ridiculous. You owe Joe a public apology. It's your show, but you would serve better as a producer. You're not enjoyable as a 'fighter'. Just be a producer and keep your feels out of it.
Its funny how they screwed Joe, but he still had the best argument lol. It was total BS. Never seen people put words in someones mouth like that. I like this show, but damn..
Idk why you guys kicked joe. all the answers in that round sucked. and saving the only talking dog sounds pretty good to me. at no point he disrespected the vets and you guys accused him of it.
These ensemble episodes are by far the best, I have way too many favorite fighters to wait months to see them go at it.. Joes saving private ryan argument may have been the funniest thing I've ever seen.
Fight 1: Son of the mask Fight 2: The Happening Fight 3: The Punisher Fight 4: The dude Fight 5: Cars 2 (Idk, it was a piece of shit) Fight 6: The incredibles
I'm a vet and kicking Joe out of that round was absolutely stupid. His pitch was hilarious and anyone who got offended needs to pull their panties up and deal with it.
Sean Bowling
Yep, I love Andy, but he was wrong.
I'm also a vet and there was nothing offensive about his pitch. It was meant as comedy. The whole context is silly and he even quickly clarified of course he isn't demeaning service members. The movie was not a true story btw. People need to stop kissing the ass of veterans, they are assholes too just like everyone else,
*****
Oh, it was for sure a a bad argument even for the ridiculousness of the whole scenario. I'm sure he'd have lost the round.
Also a veteran here, and I agree that it IS a ridiculous premise--at least for the military that we have now. Even if he would have lost this round, I still would have liked to hear the argument. :'/
I also agree Andy got it wrong with kicking Joe out early.
'we don't politics in movie fights it's just for fun'
'you have to leave we love our veterans we love America'
Osaro Azams merica!!!!
Osaro Azams supporting veterans isn't politics that's just being an American
Andy, you owe Joe Star a serious and public apology. You are supposed to judge what is said, not personal opinion. He was going to explain himself. You should have let him finish speaking and allowed him to defend himself from your anti-vet accusations.
yeah, he did the same thing last time and it's so dumb. He's not disrespecting anyone, he's just trying to answer a question that is clearly a joke and ridiculous.
To be honest, I wanted to hear his pitch.
Ironic that Andy hates bringing up POLITICS, but only judges people based on THIER politics... What a hypocrite
Relax
To be fair, there are those who would consider a talking dog a lot more valuable than any human being (PETA, anyone? )
Poorly poorly handled by Andy the dictator kicking out Joe. you knew the answers before hand, if you didn't like them you should have told Joe before the show or changed the question on the show. A REAL LIFE WAR STORY replaced with a talking dog, better than a couple of blockbusters replaced with talking dogs? It is a little offensive.

Mrs. Parr is also really hot so that's a plus.
I'm surprised no one said the Weasleys.

Joe is too lovable for this
Seriously it's like they were LOOKING for something to be offended by :(
Welcome to 2016

I'm happy I'm not the only one confused by this.

Ned Malcom, how the hell did 24 low-life people agree with you. You are a disgrace for believing this.
Kicking joestar out was bs, it would have been an awesome fight!
he would have won
Would not have minded the ruling if he kicked out other fighters immediately after bringing up the Holocaust or bestiality.
Yeah that seemed... outta nowhere?
That was fucking garbage I agree.
That was... really odd.
Usually I don´t agee with all the dislikes, but I don´t agree with the disqualification in the dog round
Matt Lewis yeah sorry
TOKAGERO1 Why? Just because I think its ridiculous to kick him out because of that reason?
TOKAGERO1 Oh. Sorry for blaming you.
Multiple cases in US military history, where brass has tried to save the last of blood lines during war.
also, I say he got cheated out, but the events that taken place have actually happen a decent amount.
DCv1 Gaming Yeah, but its unrealistic that they would go that far, to save ONE person. And this just because, his mother wanted that.
You should have multiple judges on this show. Andy can be really unfair and biased.
Kicking Joe out like that was incredibly embarrassing...
redxix88 I know, it's really unfortunate.
Agreed.
What disability?
You guys were harsh as hell about a talking damn dog, it's a comedy show and he ain't insulting veterans in the slightest. Poor showing Andy
55:52 A joke that compares talking out of your ass to Catholicism (1 billion followers/worshipers), doesn't get you kicked out.
1:03:00 A joke answer to a joke question, revolving around a fictional story about WWII soldiers, gets you kicked out.
fsyeah Saving Private Ryan was loosely based of a true story.
fsyeah
this comment needs to be seen
yeah, your original comment
I guess Andy just has a gripe with Joe for some reason.
Major BS Andy...Joe did not deserve this, you are getting too sensitive for a comedy show
I saw why he did that, the veteran thing would have spiraled out of control quickly.
Can't joke about saving private Ryan.
But can make several jokes bout beastiality.
Well okay then..
Thanks.
ill still watch but hate that call, it was total shit
12345eternal y, at first i thought that he is just joking. really ridiculous...
That transphobic comment was really misguided
It was out of place, not said in the argument, not mentioned by anyone at all, wasn't relevant, and is someone bringing conflict that was obviously never intended in the first place. Any movie pre like the last 5 years is obviously going to be "transphobic" since it wasn't something tackled by our society yet
Joe star did not deserve to be kicked off the panel wtf Andy? You guys completely threw him under the bus there, poor guy.
The fact that Andy kicked Joe off of the show is ridiculous. Andy is literally the worst part of this show and I hope he lets someone else judge in future episodes.
yes
Jaden Fragoso truth
Yes. Please!
Agree we need a new judge please, or maybe a judging panel.
Hal is doing way better as the host these days.
Poor Joe. I actually liked his the most. Too bad everyone gets offended so easily.
Dada Loompa I know right. I mean I love Scott but joe didn't deserve to get kicked off.
savage humor is looked down upon in movie fights which is why spencer lost the last one ( the harry potter one)
Quit being such a fuddy duddy.
yeah. i love america, but he shouldnt have gotten kicked off
What I don't get is, don't they give their answers in advance to make sure that the other players don't have the same answer.... so why didn't they tell Joe when he gave his answer before the show "Hey that might offend our veteran how about pick a different one.".... instead of getting butt-hurt about it on a internet show and looking like a massive prick
Agreed.
KTK Don't be so simple minded. They treated Joe like shit. No debate there
Grailsarvas, Pretty sure she made that argument because a lot of movies contain extreme violence.
When he makes a ruling that I don't like I just exit the video.
andy is always the worst part of the show, hes so annoying
That Hair Spray on loop would be True torture :D
This is probably the first time I agreed with the majority opinion in the comments section. It's OK to make fun of global religions but not US soldiers? Total BS.
luckystriker yes because people should ridicule beliefs even there own
Man, these guys need to lighten up. I wanted to hear the pitch for Saving Pooch Ryan.
Haha, I love how you can hear Coy's distinctive laugh from the couch in the background at 54:37.
Replace Keanu Reeves with a talking dog in John Wick. I think that would be hilarious
joen0411 "They killed his Keanu Reeves!"
Yeah because then it would be a dog going on a killing spree for revenge of his dog friend
Andy is easily the WORST part of Movie Fights. He doesn't even follow his own rules.
They need to let LON host and tell ANDY "BYE, BYE"
10thplague Entertainment seriously....it's frustrating to watch this channel sometimes specifically because he can't follow his own rules of "based on the arguments" he just picks what he likes. also, as soon as JTE corrected him on how the genre relates to the premise, I knew he was a goner lol.
deadsexy1985 lol exactly!
the worst part of movie fights is the comment section
I know this episode happened a while ago, but I only just watched it now. I have to say that I'm very disappointed in the treatment Joe received. His answer was never fully explained, and to be honest, I think it got completely misconstrued. We're talking about a very silly question; replacing the main character in a movie, with a talking dog. How can you ask such a question, and not take the answers lightly? It was completely unfair. Lighten up guys!
"Can I get out of the shot while he demeans our veterans" hilarious.
yet Spencer had no problem making fun of Luna Lovegood bring bullied
Vansmackable I like Spencer, I think he was just carrying on with the joke, and wasnt actually offended. I cant believe that they kicked Joe off for that
I genuinely like every single fighter on this episode. Best way to spend my Saturday afternoon!
Wow... Just wow that was so uncalled for, joe honestly did not deserve that boot

Notices the terms LOOSELY BASED always being used.
Last but not least, it's Nazis not Nazi's. Learn how apostrophes work.
Mike is so effortlessly funny, it's amazing. Please come back more regularly!!
Disliking for Joe, I hope the channel actually voices a public apology, that was horrible enough to watch, i cant imagine how bad it would have been for poor Joe.
Does anyone know what happened, a few comments said stuff about him leaving the show after? Whats that about?
ROBOTRIPPIN ROBOT He probably walked out to stop himself from publicly calling out Andy on his B.S., or to prove a point. Either way, good for Joe.
ROBOTRIPPIN ROBOT Yeah, f what they did to joe, pricks
Joe Starr got screwed! That was set for a fantastic pick and I wanted to see that properly fought - it sounded hilarious.
Worst torture movie: *Son of The Mask*, it's so insufferable.
That movie is a mess! it is so damn bad lol
Kal-El fan 49 norm of the north... There shall be no fights today.
Ah, the horror that is Son of the Mask.
birdemic
The real worst movie to watch on repeat would be Human Centipede 2.
The Ben Affleck Armaggedon audio commentary would win round 2 by itself. its hilarious
Manz is probably one of my favorite fighters, every time he's in the room he brings good energy.
I love how Mike is always so quick on his feet to think outside the box!
Taking Joe out was stupid
If I'd want to torture someone, I'd make him watch that girls "sing" that stupid song 24/7. It was annoying af even for 30 seconds.
If I wanted to torture someone I would find an alt ending of the Babadook that ends in murder suicide. That would actually ruin someone.
Most movies will bore the hell out of you and you'll just tune out, so you have to pick something that won't let you tune out or fall asleep in peace.
MoFBox maybe, just maybe! that was the entire point of her singing? to be annoying? but idk
youseemerolan Yeah pretty sure that this was her whole point, she would have gotten the point if I was judging just to make her Stop
Kicking out Joe Starr was a disgusting move by Andy
Thumbs up for a new judge.. Andy.. your time has come to move on buddy.
and come on.. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly... 6 words or more
what happened to joe was BS
lol andy is literally the creator of screen junkies. He employs all of these people, so you cannot simply leave a comment asking for him to be removed.
Wish granted. Thank god.
This was a really fun episode of Movie Fights. What a great group of people!
Batman: "WHY DO BARK THAT NAME!!!!!!" LMAO
I think a public apology to Joe is in order.
Taking out Joe because of the dog question was stupid, if it is offensive to substitute a soldier with an animal, it would be equally as offensive to substitute any other person, wether he or she is a veteran or not. If that´s the matter, the whole question should be changed.
by eliminating Joe, Andy made his argument evil and anti-veterens. I think thats bull@#$%.
Andy again ruins a great episode by making a bad call.
Actually, the worst movie to torture someone with is 'Minions'. At the end of your torture session, you'll end up brain-dead only able to say "Banana!" for the rest of your life.
COMEDY SHOULD NOT BE RESTRICTED!
GO JOE!
Joe Starr turning heel, I love it. "Get out of here Joe Starr, Nobody disrespects our veterans" had me cracking up
Yeah as a Vet I have to say none of us were insulted. 1. Saving Private Ryan was very very very slightly based on a true story but was 90% fictional. Its not like he said Flags of our Fathers or Black Hawk Down or any other war movies actually telling a true story.
They shouldn't have taken Joe out.
I can't get over how stupid their reasoning for kicking out Joe was.
Just wanted to throw in my hate for having kicked Joe out.
I love the amount of offensive things they said after Joe left
kicking Joe out was uncalled for, he was just trying to have fun with the fight.
Side-note: Spencer is so adorable
Okay Joe was robbed....
Lead to replace with talking Dog: Jar Jar Binks. You can still do all the gags, and the goofiness is more forgivable from a little dog.
I got super excited about trying out for Fan Fights, until I realized that I have exams on January.
Honest Trailers: Andy's poor decision making by kicking guests off
Its funny how they screwed Joe, but he still had the best argument lol. It was total BS. Never seen people put words in someones mouth like that. I like this show, but damn..
Fun episode. Scott Mantz is becoming my favorite person ever, lol.
Oh my goodness, the Cage/Travolta switch are argument is one of my all time favorites. I laughed through it the whole time! XD
More Kevin smith and max landis. Please!
Please
Yes to Smith. A long and loud "Please God no!" to Landis.
MrValderviche I love his movie pitches but he's so opinionated.
Edgar Allan Poe his movie pitches are amazing. And we happen to have similar opinions so that's probably why I like him
Why aren't ppl allowed to be opinionated?
My veteran father made fun out of war to the day he died. Andy that was insulting to all what he stand for
Movie with the dumbest premise? Sharkboy and Lavagirl.
MetaBoo110 That movie is perfection
+Angel Jax the it never shows them going on any other adventure then to dreamland
are those big hollywood releases? I dont think so
Lt. Col. Frank Slade Not a blockbuster but it was released internationally by Columbia Pictures.
HE RUINED MY DREAM JOURNAL
Disqualifying Joe was utterly ridiculous. You owe him an apology. Not a good look screen junkies, particularly on Andy's part.
This is the funniest movie fights I've seen you guys do in a long time! Nicely done Screen Junkies!
Idk why you guys kicked joe. all the answers in that round sucked. and saving the only talking dog sounds pretty good to me. at no point he disrespected the vets and you guys accused him of it.
I wish people weren't triggered so easily because I would have loved to see Joe Starr argue his point. I still enjoyed this though.
I would totally build a religion around The Dude.
TheNetrunner888 Was my first thought
These ensemble episodes are by far the best, I have way too many favorite fighters to wait months to see them go at it.. Joes saving private ryan argument may have been the funniest thing I've ever seen.
Mantz having Cage v Cage as identical twins in face off but still forcing them to change faces is hillarious! :-P
Andy kicking out Joe is the worst thing I've ever seen on the internet.
Fight 1: Son of the mask
Fight 2: The Happening
Fight 3: The Punisher
Fight 4: The dude
Fight 5: Cars 2 (Idk, it was a piece of shit)
Fight 6: The incredibles
Constantine Jack Are you hoping somebody laughs at The Happening until they plead for it to stop?
Constantine Jack I would've change Mark Walhberg in The Happening
Dudeism already exists so I don't know if that was a valuable answer but if so I would have taken that answer for sure
Fight 1: Minions
Fight 1 : highschool musical 1 (love but that would torture anyone)
For question one, just play "A Serbian Film" on loop.
my pick too, but Antichrist seems the same kind of terrible
Rebel0nAMission
Oh God ! I only read the story from Wikipedia & felt upset ! I can't imagine what would watching it do !
thats what i was going to say.
Lt. Col. Frank Slade In Serbian film guy gets stabed in the eye with a penis.Antichrist is nothing to that.
no, it's not that bad!
That Movie Fights poster behind Dan is awesome. They really captured the essence of the show.
That was shitty how you treated Joe, Andy. Really shitty.
Scott Mantz is the happiest man I've ever seen
