thanks so much to Andy and the Screenjunkies crew for using my fan art for the old superhero segment! love the response from everyone lol!
I have to say, I'm always a little nervous about the celebrity guests, because a lot of them have a couple of problems. 1) they haven't watched the show and don't take the time to understand it, 2) they don't really care about the arguments or even the premise really, they seem to have almost disdain for it, 3) they just don't fight. That is NOT the case here, these guys are clearly into movies, they know their stuff, and are really funny at the same time! A lot of sidetracking, but it's funny stuff so it's all good. Great guests this time around, and a great episode guys!
DNAlien Leonard Maltin got the hang of it pretty quick on the Classic Film episode.
Seth Rogen was an impressive fighter as well imo.
Tate Hildyard I actually thought he was a pretty bad example, actually. He didn't seem to get the fight format, in fact they basically abandoned the format near the end just to let him discuss his opinions. It was okay as an interview, but it was not a fight. Rogen was pretty good though.
I enjoyed Kevin Smith as a fighter
kevin smith always cried "cheating" when he lost a round.
I don't usually comment but Kumail and Paul were the best guest stars in forever! Great episode!
Agreed! I wish kumail comes back
Really good guests. I'd be happy to see these two come back anytime
Do a Bond themed episode, questions could be:
1- Most underrated Bond movie
2- Who should be next James Bond
3- Best/worst Bond girl
4- Best/worst Bond Villain
5- Pitch a James Bond spinoff movie.
6- If you could stick James Bond in any other franchise what would it be?
Conall McCormick this please!!
Don't do a Bond themed episode.
Damn you, that's the ebst idea ever, They shuld do the episode While dressing fancy.
another question : Who's Best for the next James Bond?
Conall McCormick Yes please.
This was the best movie fights I've seen in a while
King Kong in Training Day.
Doesn't show up until the line "King Kong ain't got SHIT on me!!", then have him jump down and do what the Hulk did to Loki in The Avengers.
This was my favorite movie fights in a very long time. It's been a struggle lately but this one is great. Kumail and Paul should always be welcome back.
I know we have celebrities this episode, but I'm more excited about seeing Spencer with them. He always makes me laugh.
I'm now on rewatch number 5 right now! Love this
46:05 Kumail got his wish to come true about super old Tobey playing Spiderman again!
Great guys. There is a fine balance between taking it seriously and having fun. The ticker went high and low but ended right where it needed to.
Awesomely hilarious episode. 10/10 want to see these fighters again.
Great episode. The best episodes have fighters with knowledge, wit, imagination, and know when to cut off and allow others to speak or retort. This episode is a great one to share to any friend who isn't familiar with Movie Fights. More of this please!
The idea of parkour between timelines was amazing, but Twin Diesel was unbeatable. These two guests had a great show. Make them come back, at least Paul Scheer. Very clever and funny. Usually guests are so boring and do not understand the idea of the show, but these two brought good ideas and arguments.
These guys get the show and are killers
These guys were GREAT, one of the best guests ever, thank you for a great fight! Chemistry was really there, i genuinely laughed multiple times throughout the episode!
This was a great episode! Thank you very much Screen Junkies! :)
this was such a fun fight! I haven't laughed this hard at a Movie Fight in a while. Thumbs up!
I love Paul as Mitch on fresh off the boat.
Sleepingsparklegirl he's better as Andre from the League that's him at his funniest
What a great episode, loved it from start to end. Good work on getting such awesome and funny contenders!
I'm like 4 minutes into this, and it's already my favorite movie fights. 😂
This show is great. Thanks Screen Junkies!
Great show guys one of my favourites!Great balance of fun, knowledge and passion! With a good atmosphere
Especially from first time fighters
love paul and kumail, so glad to see them on here, and this turned out to be one of the best episodes. people who are funny but also know their movies make for the best guests.
these guys are legitimately great. I had alot of fun watching this episode. sure they spoke over each other at times but it wasn't malicious at all. Good sports and very knowledgeable. Very fun.
This is absolutely the best episode ever, these guys have to come back.
Guests can be hit or miss, but Paul and Kumail are legitimately great at this. I hope you guys can get them back for future episodes.
very funny episode. i miss movie fights, it helped me through some tough times
This is one of the funniest episode of the series. Enjoyed the whole hour and fifty minutes of it. Paul, Kumail and Spencer were hilarious.
Thank you for inviting Kumail Nanjiani and Paul Scheer on for a truly special Movie Fight, SJ! I'd watch this panel talk about films daily. Spencer Gilbert also added a solid sounding board for the debate, creating an all around awesomely balanced episode. Well done, across the board.
Awesome episode. Funniest episode in awhile. Don't need the pick your fight option because every round was entertaining.
this episode was so much fun. Great, great fighters. Love how much they really got into it. Would love a rematch!!!
I love how they thought Sugarman was a recurring guest. If you ever get Scheer and Kumail again make sure to get Sugarman on the fan cam just to fuck with them !
This is by far one of the best moviefights I've seen in awhile. Great episode!
These are definitely the best celebrity guests to be on the show so far. Elijah Wood and Kevin Smith have been great too but to have 2 guests on the same time and both bring passion and creativity is something amazing. I feel like many other celebrity guests are too into their own shells or just don't want to be there. bring these guys back!
I'm only at 30 mins in this fight and i gotta say its one the most fun and entertaining movies fight to date. i can't stop smiling and laughing, these 2 guys are great and so funny!! bring them back! :D
finally a movie fights episode I sat through till the end (for the last month I was giving up in the middle).
I almost gave up after the first round. Thought it was gonna be a couple of celebs who didn't take anything seriously and gave shitty answers and arguments. I was wrong to think that... :)
Right. I'd have to double check on what's came out, but I feel like this is the best episode since Seth Rogen.
You sit through these? I always just skip to one or two fights at most. More discipline then I.
I don't skip the fights. if I'm bored, I give up altogether. but this one was entertaining enough (maybe it's because I love kumail :))
This is one of the best episodes in a long time. Please have these guests back soon!
Improve a movie by putting King Kong on it. KAMIL: Manchester by the Sea.
Please get this guy on every show.
I also like their less seasoned approach of just bringing passion and absurdity to the game, rather than "more things" which tend to win later. A strong point is better than a bunch of weak ones.
I loved his choice that round, not because it was necessarily a good idea. It just showed that Kamil was there to have fun and that's what this game needs more of. That said, that approach tends to work only if everyone fights passionately and no one interrupts too often.
Best movie fights i've seen in a long time
I keep coming back to this because it's one of the funniest episodes of Movie Fights ever.
Best guests, Paul is really good at this.
I'm only half way through, yet this is already one of my favorite fights. Great Panel Guys!
Freaking Kumail killed me the whole episode...
This one was great. I know this can't happen all the time, but you need to get these guys back. So entertaining!
Paul is a legitimately good fighter. If he had the time, he could compete for the belt.
I had not laughed so hard watching Movie Fights in a LONG time! Thank you, I'd watch these guys fight each week
This episode was fantastic! As much as I love Mantz and Rocha, I couldn't take all the talking over each other. I was worried this would be much of the same since it was celeb competitors, but they were both very funny and very competitive without the constant interupting. One of my favorites I've watched!
great episode. "you're luggage" argument was amazing
I want a proper ending to Rami's Spider-Man so bad! How great would it be to see an older Spider-Man (kinda like the Todd Macfarlane run). Peter's married to MJ and maybe already has a daughter, May (like 10-12 depending when the movie would come out).
It'd be so cool to see Peter in a way we rarely see him. It could be a love letter to Spider-Man and an ending to a franchise that meant a lot to people.
Alex Love A person could wish, a person could wish
Alex Love I would love to see that. Make it have a Superman Rebirth feel to it.
Alex Love or we could have a mcu spiderverse with Toby, Andrew and Tom
LOVE this idea. Who would you like as the villain? (I understand this is a secondary aspect of the movie, but I'm intrigued imagining it). Can I suggest maybe a Ben Reilly/Jackal clone subplot? Or maybe making it R-rated with an aged Kraven the Hunter?
That'd be cool. I originally thought of Mysterio, Kraven, or a new spin on Hobgoblin where someone stumbled upon Norman/Harry's previous lair and knows that Peter is Spider-Man and has a personal vendetta against him
Round one feels like drunk movie fights with the amount of stupid funny shit they're talking about, this is amazing.
Poor Spencer, every Movie Fight I've watched him he's lost haha but he's one of my favorites.
This episode was a fantastic shining ray of hope in the endless abyss that's been moviefights lately. Love kumail and Paul so much.
One of the funniest fights Ive seen!
Loved this fight guys!! Thank you for amazing entertainment and great guests
great movie fights !!! I have no idea how people disliked it...
Best episode of Movie Fights in a while! Love the show every episode but this episode had the mix of humor, creativity, passion, and snarky wit that keeps Screen Junkies fans coming back. Great episode
I really liked this episode. Kumail Nanjiani was so funny. I never thought Dan would have to fact check the size of King Kongs d lol
58:50 Kumail just described the best level puzzles in Titanfall 2. I can totally see this being done.
I love kumail. this is super exciting
It takes them 7:50 to finally start. Now that is true dedication of going off topic.
Kumail and Paul are hilarious!!!
Paul and Kumail really know their films, they were really fun first fighters!
Kumail movie got rave reviews at Sundance, really looking foward to it.
And the new season of Silicon Valley of course.
Absolutely brilliant episode guys! haven't laughed this much in ages. Always love it when you get guests that love talking movies.
I sometimes don't like celebrities on Movie Fights cuz they never give a shit. But not today these guys were great. They were actually trying to win and they were funny.
This was SUCH A GREAT SHOW! These two really fit the feel of the show tremendously, its really refreshing to see stars being normal movie "nerds" like the rest of us. A+ job, will be watching this episode again
Paul really 'Kaboomed' it!
hehe :)
This is one of the best movie fights!
Spencer is one of my favorite fighters but Kumail might even be better. Both ride the line of yuks and good points impressively.
i haven't been so anxious to see a box opened since the end of cast away.
Spencer Gilbert if you're reading this, you're awesome and I love you and hope you are having a great day! 😊
Lucy Hernandez Yeah there's do much hate for him here and I just don't get it.
My favorite fighter. I think he is grossly under rated.
how
Spencer - stay cool man
One of the best episodes in recent money. These guys had a great back and forth
I love Spencer (and all the screen junkies) but I don't think he was ready for this fight and I can't really blame him. Kumail was very good, but Paul was fucking amazing. The best celebrity guest fighter by far. Knowledgeable, creative and he knows how to argue. You guys need to bring him back soon. And I think an episode with Kumail and Mike Carlson would be awesome, it really seems like their humor would play well against each other.
Best Moviefight in a while. These three have the same sorta laid back humour. They go really well together.
possibly the best celebrity guests that have ever been on the show
LOVED this fight!!!! Always great to see actors who actually know their stuff! Also Spencer I LOVE YOU
Actually the iron batsuit does have a cape
TheR3aper5 in the film, as far as I remember the comic didn't.
Robo Batman i meant the picture they were commenting on
omg omg! omg! i love The League!
i can't wait for this, thank you!
What is the best Netflix original series?
Ryan Gaffke do mean 100% their own idea or based of something like daredevil?
sounds more like a question for tv fights. the answer is clearly house of cards though.
Ryan Gaffke stranger things
Daredevil
I agree this is definitely a round for TV Fights, but best Netflix original movie would work fine here.
It's hard because as a judge you want to keep the game competitive. But, at the same time, Paul really does kill it here
Screen Junkies is becoming more famous, each day.
Trinidad Botello No they barely grow any subs these days
Subs mean nothing. Their views do and from a show that barely hit 50K views when it first came on to hitting 100+K every fight is a def step up.
I'm watching this again because it was my first movie fights viewing a few weeks ago and I've been binging ever since. love you @screenjunkies , hope to be on when I'm a successful actress or for a fan one.
I don't get why ppl say Dan's the best fighter. Spencer's the best fighter hands down. Smartest and funniest.
sabster79 lol because Andy says so. Dan is good though but I feel like a few other fighters should have taken that belt from him
I don't know. For me, Spencer makes occasional good choices. But he's always bad at making counterarguments. Like when he compares 9/11 to Titanic. Dan's always better at defending his choice and poking holes in the choices of others.
Dan is so boring.
I literally hurt myself by laughing ... funniest episode ever!!!
Can't wait to watch this fight!
So glad someone suggested Primer, I used to be obsessed with that movie
Okay but the titanic wreck was absolutely a historical tragedy. 1500 deaths, one of the deadliest peacetime sea disasters of modern history
oh man i havent had so much fun watching a moivie fight for a long time.
FOR FUCK SAKE, SPENCER SHOULD HAVE WON THE LAST POINT...
But nice fight anyway :I
100% agree.
Yea that was pretty horseshit all around, all the arguements against him were false or counter to Paul and Kumail's own points.
should have won the best James Cameron movie too
This was one of my favourite episodes ever. Please invite both of those fighters back.
Just rewatched it after a year. As it turned out The Rock actually has been in a movie with a giant monkey, so Paul is kinda right for the first fight lmao
One of your best SJ! Very entertaining
Please do Honest Trailers King Kong (2005)
holy crap Paul was born for movie fights he had the best arguments
Hey Screen Junkies .... How about a vid about how Dan fact checks ? Would like to see his resources for learning and research etc~ Anyone else curious? Big fan of the show and channel btw!
Matt C just from being a long time fan and doing way too much internet research I would guess RT, IMDb, box office mojo, wiki, reddit, and going to official web sites for synopsis questions. But I'm interested as well
The way Paul is describing Steel sounds exactly like an older Kick-Ass
I'd like to see Grace Randolph vs Chris Stuckmann, but I know that probably will never happen...
Fluffypro Would love that!
Andy Signore got in a big fight with Grace so yeah that won't happen lol
Brad Wright when?
Mauricio Ramirez It was all over twitter a while back! They were going at it. John Campea even did a video about it because he was dragged into it. It was about a dispute with the DC films and it got really personal lol
+Mauricio Ramirez
Grace was pushing that conspiracy theory of Disney paying off critics to bash on DC films. Andy disputed that and they got into a fight over it on twitter
Well done guys. Awesome guests!
Kumail is the only one that knows what Nerd means ....
This fight was incredible! Very good fighters and I just love Kumail, so funny!
