Watching this in 2022, can't believe how much of this actually happened. Man, I miss the days when Screen Junkies was more diverse than just honest trailers.
Did the episodes got published again ?
Agreed, these were the golden era
Well Andy kinda ruined a lot of that 😅
OMG MIKE CARLSON, KEVIN SMITH, AND DAN???
EDIT: AND ALICIA ON THE DANCAM!!!!
EDIT AGAIN: YES THIS NEEDED TO BE IN ALL CAPS
+Flantastic riight! :D
+Flantastic
Mike's my favorite "fun" fighter, Dan's great at keeping it serious without being loud and frustrated (unless the belts on the line).
+Flantastic YOU WATCHED IT AS WELL???
+Flantastic too bad alicia was there. She tends to ruin the show for me.
+Ryann Von Doom how? I think she is very nice.
1:02 Damn they were all so excited to cast Alan Rickman..little did they know
+Tomiwa Aina I couldnt help but tear up
+monfortez11 Me too. Especially after having read all the emotional things that Kevin Smith has said about his friend Alan Rickman on social media in the last few days.
alan rickman casting made me sad...
I didn't look at when this was published, and thought, they all had some sort of alan rickman embodiment, a look into the future. Sad, sad :/
Kevin became friends with Alan Rickman on Dogma. Kevin Smith’s words about his friend are heartwarming.
Next time Kevin Smith is on you should ask this question for a fight, "which superhero should fight a giant spider?"
You mean a Thanagarean Snarebeast.
Lol.
+Kaiser Yuuki Superman. I got that reference.
+Kaiser Yuuki "Pitch a movie called 'Night Swimming.'"
Spider-Man?
Can we get Elijah Wood back on the show?
I would like that too
+Rafael Recinos Kevin Smith, Elijah Wood, and Dan Murrell would be my dream team.
+cubbex
Of all the ways I've seen people promote movies, though, Elijah's put the most in and gave viewers the most reward. As long as actors are willing to put the effort in and have a good debate (unlike last week...) then that could be great for SJ.
Noice
Elijah was the best.... It's my favorite movie fights
Kevin Smith is really likable, this fight was great.
I love the guy, his perspective & passion for movies is beyond reproach
"Well, it was the first one..." - Kevin Smith trying to defend phantom Menace. Awesome, lol.
It's so funny listening to this 7 years later and then discussing Kang, MODOK, AND Bill Murray whom all appear in the latest Antman film... someone took notes lol.
Exactly, someone is a movie fights fan, can't tell me otherwise 😆
When I first saw this title and saw the thumbnail I thought it meant pitch a solo batman movie starring Kevin Smith. I was like wtf
I could see him more like the Penguin than as batman.
I thought he was pitching one with him as director
He's already Bluntman
Pitch a Solo Batman Movie : I hook up with Harley Quinn.
+Batman I believe that I am more Batman than you are
But why?
+Batman HAHA! love it
Lol isn't Kevin Smith's daughter named Harley Quinn too? XD
+Ana Gonçalves Pereira You set it up, no one replied. Because, he's Batman
I don't know how I ever missed this show. Wish I watched these earlier.
It was amazing
I've rewatched a lot of them so many times. I'm envious of you getting to watch them for the first time.
I'm waiting for the Movie Fights episode with Kevin Smith, Max Landis, and Elijah Wood.
+davidanemone leave Landis out of this list and it would be awesome
+Alania A. Landis was easily one of the best fighters ever even though he was a little crazy. He didn't prepare at all for some fights but was still able to pitch entire movies off the top of his head.
davidanemone meeh
+dcanaeme1234 Landis annoys me so much. I can't stand to listen to him
+dcanaeme1234 great fight
This is quite possibly one of the best Movie Fights ever. I was pleasantly surprised by how articulate Kevin Smith proved himself to be, to all those who thought he'd be Nick Mundy 2.0.
Though I kinda feel bad for Mike Carlson. It felt like he was out of focus and most of the attention went to Dan and Kevin.
Yep. Smith was one of the best fighters I've seen.
+David Caulker Dream Team: Smith, Murrell, and Elijah Wood.
I didn't think Carlson stood a chance, no offense.
+Derrick Carter To be honest, nobody would stand out from Murrell and Smith, except maybe someone like Elijah Wood or Jeremy Jahns.
It is because he did not take a marijuana before the fight
Kevin was a pretty great guest. Please have him back, vs Mundy
1) The Fugitive
2) Deadpool vs Deathstroke: balls to the wall, universe crossing, 4th wall breaking, action shoot em up. Or Batman vs The Punisher.
3) Batman: Under the Red Hood (not a direct adaptation of the comic or animated film)
4) Clooney (because the three took all my answers lol)
5) Norman Osborn/Green Goblin/Iron Patriot (Played by Matthew McConaughey or Bryan Cranston), eventually forming the Dark Avengers.
6) Revenge of the Sith
Not Matthew McConaughey. If he plays Norman Osborn, it will be like chainsaw massacre
+CCScorseseVideos
F*ck that shit!! Mundy would just dumb down the whole show and it'll just make bringing Kevin back to waste. Are you serious with that statement? Didnt you watch this video? This is what "Movie Fight" should be and should always stay like this from now till onwards.
Avian07
dude, you're taking this waaay too seriously
+CCScorseseVideos
With #5 I would prefer the creation of the Thunderbolts team instead. Maybe the writers could find a way for both to be created. Maybe Norman creates the Dark Avengers; fails whatever scheme he was hatching; the team disbands when Norman goes to jail; Remnants of the team reform to create the Thunderbolts and actually do good.
+CCScorseseVideos Finally someone said the Fugitive, I don't know why people forget about that. Like the chemistry with Tommy Lee Jones is awesome.
LOL "hes not a regular rabbit" "NO YOU'RE RIGHT HES LATE!"
one of the best panel so far, so pleasant and enjoyable to watch
+RQuiaios
Yeah, last weeks was poor. This weeks was a great mix.
I completely agree, plus the fan they brought was pretty cool.
Who thinks Quentin Tarintino would be an amazing guest!?
+Herge Tintin
Could be, as long as he's like Kevin and able to tone it down a bit.
+Ezra Daßer Haha
+Gavin Petrie If he could I feel it'd be so entertaining due to his endless knowledge of movies.
That would be awesome but I feel like he would be a bit too "intense".
he would never stop talking haha.
Agreed with Kevin Smith, Regarding Henry is an underrated gem.
Vinny H. Yep. Good film.
JJ Abrams wrote that. It can't be good.
Edgar Allan Poe
Agreed. Ford was great in that film- one of my faves!
The performance was beautiful, but the storyline was rather thin
Am I the only one who's sick of hearing people say that they want a certain movie or movies in general to be more "Fun!" and that they're sick of movies that "Take themselves too seriously." or any kind of argument like that. IMO, we've been getting too many movies lately that are obsessed with being "Fun!" and think that in order for a movie to be fun, it has to be explicit fun, in-your-face humour and antics, wise-cracks left and right, "Hahaha, we're having fun!!!" type of stuff. I think that was the main problem with Age of Ultron... they were too obsessed with making Ultron be a "Fun!" villain, that he ended up not being threatening at all, and ultimately failed as a villain, IMO. Everybody acted like Ant-Man was such a breath of fresh air because it was more comedy oriented, or it took the silly fun to a new level or something... But really, it just seemed like another "Fun!" installment in Marvel's long line of "Fun!" superhero movies. Iron Man 2, Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers 2... all put fun first and foremost, and Avengers and GotG worked, while IM2 and Avengers 2 didn't IMO... but the strongest Marvel movies so far are the first Iron Man and Winter Soldier. Both movies that "Took themselves seriously." (they had humour and fun in there, but the humour and fun was just a part of the fabric, not the objective of the whole thing), and because they took themselves seriously, they were GOOD FRICKIN' MOVIES that will stand the test of time because seriousness stays the same over time, while humour has a law of diminishing returns. I loved The Avengers when I first saw it, and still enjoyed it on a few rewatches. But now, I don't really feel a desire to watch it that much, because I know all the jokes, the punchlines are lost on me now because I know they're coming... Whereas the one scene that I really still enjoy watching is when they all start arguing with each other about SHIELD's real motivations, etc, and Loki is turning them against each other through the Loki-Poki Stick... Because that scene actually has some SUBSTANCE to it. It takes on a seriousness that plays with the same impact every time you watch it, because substance doesn't have a law of diminishing returns. It's the same with Avengers 2... the only scene that I'm interested in watching again is when Tony and Steve are arguing about the nature of fighting a war, "Every time you try to stop a war before it starts... innocent people die." God, that's the kind of thing you want your kids to watch and soak in, because it will stick with you and give you something to think about. Instead of putting humour at the forefront and pandering to kids as though they won't have fun unless everything is humourous or over-the-top. As a kid, I loved Star Wars because the world was cool (because it was realistic) and Darth Vader was scary, but cool and lightsabres were cool... not because everything was funny. I don't give a damn about Ultron trying to be funny... I don't need a bunch of silliness and "Fun!" to have fun at the movies. A serious movie that's good is fun to watch because it engages you. I'm not just sitting back and watching a bunch of people trying to be comedians in the midst of a bunch of ridiculous stuff going on... Comedic relief is great, but it has to be comedic RELIEF. If the whole movie is just fun, then you don't get any relief from the humour, you're just getting bombarded with it. I think the first Avengers worked because, at the time, it was something different. We hadn't really seen much of that kind of fun, celebratory movie before. But now, I think it's wearing out fast. Because, as I mentioned, of the law of diminishing returns. Fun will never have the staying power that seriousness has. That's why most classic movies aren't comedies. It takes a really rare comedy to stand the test of time (and usually, it's satirical comedies that last because they're pushing substance through irreverent/ironic humour). To that end, I feel like a lot of Marvel's movies are very of-the-moment, and won't stand the test of time, but their more serious films, like Iron Man and Winter Soldier, are probably the ones that will.
And now I look at the Batman V Superman trailer, and I think that despite all the over-the-top darkness and seriousness... it ultimately feels like a masturbatory movie, because the whole premise is one big nerd-gasm, and the weakest stuff looks like the trying-too-hard-to-have-fun gags and quips "Is she with you?" "I thought she was with you." stuff. And jesus, does Eisenberg's performance look like a desperate attempt at levity. It just comes off pathetic to me. I'd have more respect for a movie that wasn't obsessed with trying to get laughs in the midst of a serious story, and just had the guts to stay serious. That's WHY Nolan's films were so good, because they weren't afraid to be serious and give us actual substance to the stories... and even then, the weakest parts of those movies are the attempts at levity: "I'm not wearing hockey pads!".
Then I look at the Star Wars trailers and lo and behold!... it looks serious. It looks substantive. It looks good! AND it looks fun as a result!!! I'm sure there'll be plenty of comedic relief, but it will be just that: comedic RELIEF. Not the overall tone of the movie. The overall tone looks serious as hell, and that gives it a gravity that commands your attention. The best part of the full trailer, IMO, is towards the end when the voiceover comes in "The Force... it's calling to you." and the music takes that dramatic turn into a bit of a minor chord feeling... you start to feel a sense of importance about this. And the amazing thing, IMO, is that one of the shots during this section of the trailer is BB-8 in the back of an X-Wing... BB-8 seems like a mostly light-hearted character like R2, who will probably bring a lot of comedic relief. But at that point in the trailer, we get a sense of dramatic weight from seeing him going into battle. That's the power of allowing seriousness to bring a sense of weight to the story and characters. That way, when there is fun and humour, it's all the more effective because you're not just having fun with these characters, you're experiencing a powerful story along with them. That's why I'm looking forward to TFA so much, because I feel like it will be return to the old style of "Fun movies", where the movies weren't fun by nature of in-your-face humour and antics... they were fun because they were good stories that engaged you.
So in the face of all this "I want fun, not a movie that's 'up it's own ass'!" stuff... I say, "Lay off the fun, please... just give me a good movie."
k.
wow, calm down there kiddo
agree completely.
+AWS Vids Well i could read that, but I probably won't
+AWS Vids That moment when you click "Read more" and get a free book.
Get Elijah Wood back.
Agreed
+K Ellis but Dan just fought Kevin. That's why I don't think Dan when I think Max Landis vs Chris Stuckmann vs I don't know... Jeremy Scott or something. I like repeat people, but not against each other multiple times. maybe that's just me?
Kevin Smith vs Elijah Woods vs Max Landis and with Dan or Alicia as the judge would be awesome
| Captain | I like your thinking captain!
+K Ellis yea that would be awesome.
I want Kevin Smith in every movie fight. He's got the knowledge and he's so freakin' funny.
Mike Carlson is one of the best fighters ever on this show
agreed!
+WIlliam Mihalcik Dont forget #botanicus.
I have a challenge for you: Have one movie fights with NO SUPERHERO FIGHTS! just one.
+Kenny Jefferson yeah it is getting tired.
+Kenny Jefferson Yeah, stop milking this cow.
+Kenny Jefferson I agree, but with a huge comic book nerd such as Kevin Smith on the show, it does make a lot of sense.
+RazorCrank Kevin Smith is an all around movie head in general as well, and also every episode is headlined with a comic book fight and the majority of the fights are. it's growing tiresome.
True, he is very knowledgeable in regards to films, but I think from their standpoint they just wanted to make sure to do what's working and now that he'll most likely comeback and people such as yourself are commenting that this isn't want they want anymore we'll start to see a change.
If you mute the video Kevin will look like a freestyle rapper
This comment made my day
that's awesome I did it and it's amazing
lol yeah he does
THEREDAKAY I can’t unsee that!
Eh, I hate people who don't think Batman can make it without the villains. Court of Owls is the perfect example of that.
+Sokka2Me I thought the court were the villains during the the Court of Owls?
MJ C To be fair, they were the TRUE villain(s) but I always saw them as a single thing since it was never clear who was the leader, if there was one. Talon was kind of a lackey.
+MJ C lol
+11kingsmash You make Batman sound like a disease :D
+Sokka2Me What's the point of Batman if there are no villains around?
It should be, Pitch a Solo Batman Movie, With Kevin Smith it sounds like theyre asking to pitch a solo batman movie starring Kevin Smith
Thats what i thought too
+LinkChuMario What's worse is that they Photo shopped his face onto a batsuit
Kevin Smit as Poison Ivy.
bluntman
I was laying in bed listening to this, eyes closed falling asleep, but when Kevin Smith said regaurding Henry I shouted, Damn Right!
I would have picked Regarding Henry too
I want Deadpool vs Joker
That could be an awesome script
+Charlie “Minicliff13” Clifton-Brown have to agree with kono here....The only reason why The Joker has been around so long is because Batman wouldn't kill him...
Deadpool, who is basically immortal, would destroy The Joker.
I think Joker would have set up traps and planned once he heard that Deadpool was after him
But the Traps wouldn't do anything to Deadpool, that Deadpool couldn't recover from..It would just be a story about the Joker running from Deadpool.
*****
Decapitation doesn't stop Deadpool, in fact there is a version of Deadpool that is just a head. So yes The Joker can cut his head off, but that still wont stop Deadpool
KEVIN SMITH vs ELIJAH WOOD vs PATTON OSWALT!!
That would be the greatest fight ever.
+Tomurai2776 u blew my mind, good sir
+Astral Walker Because he has been on this show before.
+Tomurai2776 wood would be destroyed!
*talking about BvS*
"You know they're both going to be alive by the end of it"
This aged well 😂
I'm starting to get pissed of people saying DC takes itself too seriously and then they offer something so ridiculous and corny as if it's somehow better. If a movie can take itself seriously and still be a good movie, there's no reason to change it. Likewise, if a movie is campy and does a good job, there's no reason to change it. There shouldn't be a grim movie vs campy movie dilemma when it comes to superhero movies (primarily DC vs Marvel), the argument should just be 'good film vs bad film'.
Exactly people act like taking a more serious route is a bad thing and if that were true we would still be stuck with 60's Batman and Superman 3&4
+Kal
The problem isn't the grim movies. The problem is there is too much, and ever DC movie in the last 5-10 years, save for perhaps the green lantern (terrible) was a serious movie. They haven' shown they can really master a different tact, and it gets old. Marvel, on the other hand, has had several grim movies, and several fun/campy movies.
Secondly, in many respects, fun, campy movies are able to reach a wider audience, kids with short attention spans, etc.
Fish4Man61 Yeah, I understand that. But I'd rather have a good movie than a bad movie. At least we get some humor in BvS and a Shazam movie.
+Fish4Man61 wth have you been watching. every marvel film is tonally the same, light hearted and "funny". DC films are more serious. How can you say it gets old, no marvel film has the rewatchability of TDK/watchmen.
+Kal You said it exactly. If it can take itself seriously AND STILL BE A GOOD MOVIE it is fine. Unfortunatly, DC only has three good movies tops (Dark Knight Trilogy).
i love the way Mike debates, he could pick the obvious choices but he tries to go deeper then the question
watching this in 2019 and laughing at kevin smith at 1:06:11 saying no studio wants dormammu
but Mike was right IMO! He was boring one note villan in that movie
@@trilltron2885 he has 1 goal .. ofc that would be boring and one noted... that is his 1 thing and unlike others he sticks to it
@@bawrukid8734 admittedly I do not know much about the comic book source for the character. Maybe he works better there than on film. Either way, I still enjoyed Dr. Strange, and I hope you enjoyed seeing Dormammu on the big screen! He definitely looked super cool!
but... he also redeems himself just after by deducing that if he was, he would have to be in a Dr. Strange movie, which they didn't know yet. I still want Bill Murray as Modok damnit.
Honestly think they could set him up as a major villain. Especially setting up future phases after phase 3, marvel probably wants to set up the next big over arching villain different from thanos. If they surprised everyone and showed audiences a villain from a standalone movie (dr strange) ending up as a big marvel villain could be amazing. Plus it would also bring dr strange as the uniting force for the mcu, now that spoilers................................ A lot of the og avengers won't be coming back.
I love how every time Kevin Smith is on Movie Fights, he's all red in the face and nodding along to things the others are saying with a hint of a smile at all times. You can immediately tell he's thrilled just to be on a show where the whole concept is debating the merits of various films against one another. Even when he's being "sulky", he still looks like he's having a great time
He’s baked af lol
Elijah Wood. Kevin Smith. Who's next?
MR.DC COMICS
He doesn't have the knowledge. At least I don't think he has.
Neild de Grasse Tysson
+CHE6yp BJ Horseman reference?
Eh... Umm ... Oommm... Jeff.... Umm... Goldblum.
+CHE6yp fool me once, fool me twice, fool me chicken soup with rice
As an anthropologist...yes...many...MANY people pursued archeology because of Indy and his movies. (FYI it is not similar at all, theres lots of reading, digging is tedious, and Nazi's rarely show up)
Do you find religious relics that can wipe out armies or magic stones that give you the powers of a blood-lusting deity ?
@@RogueBoyScout Yes
Iron Man 3: Kiss Kiss Clang Clang :'D
Shane Black.....nice
My idea Dark Knight Returns would be Mel Gibson.
*ideal
+cubbex But Mel is a jerk now after Passion of the Christ.
+Kenny Schultz "you dont get it son this isnt a mudhole its an operating table & im the crazy racist jesus nut" hell no
+Kenny Schultz nah i still think it should be ben affleck
I could see that
Kevin really cares about film which makes him seem out of place in this arena. It was refreshing to hear eloquent and insightful arguments made by someone that appreciates the medium.
Also his point at the end of the first round that entertainment is comfort and art transformative was very satisfying.
Get Clint from Cinefix! I think he could be on par with Dan!
+Brent Ramirez Oh yeah, that would be great. I don't know if Ti could do the no-swearing.
+Brent Ramirez That would be great! Cinefix is really one of the best film channels on youtube. Clint would be a perfect fit!
Kevin Smith Rules!!!!!
Indeed
True
I love Kevin Smith. He cracked me up with the “they’re all sequels”. I would have been so sad had his incident been more serious. Bring him back soon.
#MovieFights Most overrated Disney movie?
Frozen!! It gets waaaay too much credit for having lackluster music, underdeveloped/ un-relatable characters and cliched plot twists.
Agreed
+Umair Farooq lion king.
Steve Harvey Nah, that's amazing. Why would u think it's overrated?
mirko zaja Yeah. I think people should just...let it go...
I'm a shut up
PLS BRING BACK MAX LANDISS!!!!!!!
he wasn't a good fighter imo
No, just no
+IKBENEENPAARD Yes, just Yes!
+jason sumburg word i didn't mind him. I'd love to see him and Andreyko go head to head.
you mean arrogant shouting how somebody's else's opinion is wrong because he knows better? I respectfully disagree with you.
im surprised no one picked the red hood storyline
ikr
agreed but Kevin Simth's Dark Night Returns wasn't bad he just picked the wrong actor, instead of George Clooney he should of picked Mel Gibson
... Or Son of the Demon (or any part of that trilogy for that matter)... Or Knightsend (sequel to Knightfall, with Batman having to give up his role and leaving someone else to take up the mantle, eventually having to fight to reclaim it)
@@LucasBradley - Knightsend would be awesome
Favorite moment: Dan: "I did know I just didn't want to look like a know-it-all" *cute laugh*
Dan is not only great at debating, but just so adorable ^^.
are you a girl? asking for a friend
BallLikeImKobe 😆😂🤣😆🤣🤣🤣
kevin's an impressive fighter! he did a really great job and was thoroughly articulate, witty, and engaging throughout with some knock out arguments that were succinct and respectful.
"Director,Podcaster,Silent Bob" haha that makes me chuckle
For a solo batman movie I would love to see a Batman Beyond (for anyone else who watched this cartoon). I think it would be great because you still have Bruce Wayne but now he hands over the reins to a new Kid with a new backstory. Loved the show as a kid and is a fresh and new take on the dark night :) anyone agree (or disagree haha)??
Yaaaas please! I love Batman Beyond, and it was actually my introduction to batman!
+Emito Uzumaki yassssss
I was obsessed with that show. That was my favorite batman costume ever
I think that would be cool, but later down the line when the current movie Batman is at least established and well known.
+Leanne G That would be insanely cool and interesting for a movie to do, especially with all the future stuff in that show. Too bad it isn't mainstream enough to ever happen.
Ironically, Dan's idea sounds like Vileneuve pitch; Smith's idea became BvS and Mike's idea is kinda LEGO Batman
If you've ever wanted to see someone's soul dying look at Mike's eyes as he defends Attack of the Clones.
#MovieFights Best Mark Hamill Performance?
JOKER!!!!!
+josiah jenks Mask of the Phantasm
+josiah jenks Fire lord Ozai!!!
the joker
the trickster
You can tell Kevin knows his stuff because right out the gate, the other two guys just pick easy, superficial films that Harrison Ford just happens to be in. Not to say that "Blade Runner" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark" aren't wonderful, they totally are. But those are go-to choices.
That'd be like someone asking who your favorite Basketball player is and you immediately just pick Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant because they're names that you know and that's that.
Kevin knows the stats. He can make the more informed choice.
I could listen to Kevin smiths points all day. Good fight guys.
For the dc v marvel one, I would say joker vs loki, the ultimate tricksters
perfect
Nah, Joker vs. Green Goblin. Two psychos duking it out for supremacy and bragging rights.
Carlos Angel the joker would kill the green goblin easy
RIP joker
Steven Adams Ever hear the saying "prove one thing wrong about someone's argument & it ruins their whole credibility." ?..... Well here I go, the joker has killed people. Just because they don't always show it doesn't mean he doesn't.
rocket racoon vs green lantern? really?
Yea that was just a dumb idea
I spent this entire fight just watching Kevin Smith reacting to the others talking - it's hilarious.
holy shit it's kevin smith!!!!!
Omg Kevin. knock out of park with Batman solo film
+The Ohio Review I don't like Woody Allen as an actor, but why is he "scum"?
+Coolman Hahn he married his adopted daughter
just how I feel about it
Green Lantern vs Mandarin
Batman vs Moon Knight
Joker vs Kraven the Hunter
Lady Shiva vs Black Widow
Trigon vs Dormammu
Parasite vs Rogue
Deathstroke vs Wolverine
Spiderman vs Blue Beetle
daniel day lewis wouldve taken serious brain damage just to get into character for Regarding Henry
nice one!
+Felix Alvarez yup dats true
Weird that they mention both Alan Rickman and Dormamu
My Batman pitch would be a death in the family, directed by David Ayer. You get to learn about about Bruce Wayne/ Batman from the perspective of Jason Todd. From Batman taking him under his wing, training him, but you also get to learn about Jason and like his character. Then of the Joker takes gets involved. Jason Todd played by Shia Lebouf, he's good enough to like, and it would be so satisfying to watch Jared Leto kill him with a crowbar.
Then of course, you get the sequel the red hood where he returns.
loved the older batman with george clooney playing him idea!
We need this lineup again
I love Kev Smith didn’t think Dormamu could be in a movie. Especially with that dr strange/imitation game character poster in the background.
shit this was INTENSE! what a great fighter kevin is! Man, he made you guys sweat! Awesome fight and I love how you all debated the shit out of it!
+Locomamonk yeah
Bring on Mark Kermode
+J Wizard Phoenix Hell Yes!
As much as I love this idea, it's simply never going to happen. If it ever did happen though, he'd crush everyone.
+J Wizard Phoenix a 50 year old British movie reviewer mixing with 30 year old American movie fans? hahaha
"Best Kermode Michael Bay rant".
He's way out of Screen Junkies league
Like how Kev is just in there taking notes like "oooooh dats a REALLY good idea, i should do that!"
By far my 3 favorite fighters
Oh man Kevin Smith got ROBBED! On the Marvel vs DC. ah damn.
+Kadafi69 it was the easy choice BUT damn was it a good argument
Wow...That guy called out Dormammu and that wound up being the villain in Dr Strange.
Get David Tennant on the show.
Is he a big film buff? I really don't know.
He's David Tennant. that's all that matters haha. And most actors are pretty film literate.
+Cole Silver Think he's only doing voice over work just now unless he's in a play.....would be amazing to see him on it, can just tell he would know a shit ton about movies
I mean he just finished starring in Jessica Jones and he did a movie this year, so no, he's definitely still acting!
i love how Dan Murrell predicted Don Mormu
Great episode of Movie Fights. Dan and Mike are two of my favorite contestants on this show. And Kevin Smith seems like such a really awesome, nice, and down-to-earth dude that'd be a lot of fun to just chill and kick it with.
How Kevin Smith didn't the first four arguments is beyond me.
+djryguy20 same here i don't like the judge on all the fights he is biased
QUESTION: Pitch a Matrix Sequel
I never comment on youtube. But has to say this. Dan Murrell rocks. He is the main reason why i watch Movie Fights. Love your passion for good films man, which is not superficial at all unlike some other guests.
five words:
rocket and groot vs lobo
the two most popular and weird space based characters from both companies who both have bounties on their heads and there could just be so many shenanigans and i would love this
+Bennett N Original Lobo or New 52 Lobo. I'd like to see the original, the new one doesn't grab my interest though.
That's bs batman vs ironman should have won
Round 1-Force Awakens
Round 2-Thor v Flash
Round 3- Joker POV/ Guillermo Del Toro
Round 4-Also Clint Eastwood
Round 5-Evil Deadpool
Force awakens? Eh Ford was in like 30 % of the movie and had 2 emotions, sad and annoyed..
I don't understand people who already bought Star Wars VII merch!
+The MrBigBuda I'm getting it on the 18th, the day after I watch it.
you mean VII
+strasnodimke Just corrected! Thanks ;)
Kevin Simth's Dark Night Returns wasn't bad he just picked the wrong actor, instead of George Clooney he should of picked Mel Gibson
willis jhonson lol why
I'm only 7 minutes in, Kevin Smith is talking about Regarding Henry and he is my new absolute favorite person :D
Silent Bob finally SPEAKS!!!!
Man this show used to be good
Kevin said no studio is looking to use Dormamu. The next year, Doctor Strange comes out.
Rename this video "Filmmaker schools film watchers."
They should have Kevin fight Nick Mundy
ha, yes!
+Josué Saldívar NOOOOO. plz dont.
+Josué Saldívar So it can be even more obvious what an idiot Nick Mundy is?
How about Kevin Smith Vs Max Landis?
+NarutoDX That'd be like two absolute geniuses with complete opposite personalities! It'd be awesome!
42:08 Kevin’s right. TDKR was my first ever Batman comic I read and I fell in love with this character because of it!
Alan Rickman RIP
L
Always
^^ shivers down my spine. so sad. rip.
Best solo Batman movie = heart of ice (done properly)
Movie Fights Winners IMO:
1. Kevin Smith, Never heard of it but I absolutely loved what he said the movie was
2. Kevin Smith, I feel like this would be absolutely awesome, Stark vs Batman, Funny and Light vs Dark and Bruting, Maybe Stark doesn't like the way Batman carries himself like Civil War.
3. Hated them all! But If I had to pick I guess Dan, Don't know Why
4. Mike, this was easy I haven't heard of any of them, but Mike ' s pitch of a Gangiskan like Villian that time travels and has lived Very Long absolutely sold me of a Main Villian that could actually hurt The Avengers and not be a Huge Bruting CGI Fest like Thanos. How Tall is this Guy?
5. I haven't seen any of these, I have seen IV-VII, But I would say Dan won explaining that It was what everyone was waiting for, the Transformation of Skywalker into Darth Vader.
Kevin Smith was right on all counts.
Kevin: "Are we talking about if it's actually going to ever happen?...
No studio head is going *thumbs up* 'Dormamu, brother'."...
Well, apparently not about everything. :P
When nobody says empire as his best movie...
+brandon valenti
He's part* of a good movie, but he wasn't the lead.
That is because that is a movie that Harrison Ford is in but he is not the star. At least that is what I assume the argument would be.
Wasn't "best performance" it was best movie.
Ezra Daßer true, but han is a big character rather than an extra.
This has got to be the best Movie Fights I've watched
Max Landis, Kevin Smith, Dan Murrell Title fight!
GET KEVIN SMITH AND MAX LANDINS IN THE SAME ROOM!
JUST, DO IIIIT!
I’m down for an acid trip Batman movie but a really good live action dark knight returns would be amazing.
I didn't like The Dark Knight Returns, read it and thought it was average with no desire to read it again and was very confused when I later heard everyone going on about it.
Then you should see the movie. WB made a 2 part animated movie in 2013. Check it out
That's what I loved about the show Batman: The Brave and the Bold it was a fun take on Batman that is as correct as that version of Batman.
+Thomas Edwards I'd still recommend Hush though. I've yet to hear a Batman fan who dislikes it. The Long Halloween and Batman: Year One are great too.
+Thomas Edwards And the Grant Morrison Batman and Robin series. It is exactly the right kind of playfully twisted.
