Volk comes back because of himself and his competitive drive, and that's what made him such a great fighter but it's also what could destroy his career

I miss the champions we had in like 2019-2022. Volk, Izzy, Usman. I miss them all as champ. I’m not an Izzy fan really but he was a great champion. He was probably the best champion in the UFC at the time because he was the most active and fought every contender

Its brutal because its mostly genetical and really not within his control. Having a granite chin and KO power that is. Ofcourse being old deteriorates both (then again, not within his control). But if volk had KO power and/or a very solid chin, he would still be a monster. Theres no way either of those matches were gonna be a one sided beatdown if volk didn't get KO'd both of the times he got done.
I think a logical match-up would be preventing Aldo from moving up. He is a former champion, no shame in that, and a win will put him back in the win column and stop the 2 KO losses streak.
We gotta start taxing rematch wins. Volk whole legacy is beating one guy. Still a huge volk fan he’s def a top 10 guy.
