Thee other issue is if the mother like that raised that daughter it raises red flags. I'd guess OP started looking hard at fiancee if she condoned that behaviour. If she'd done things similar then as she aged she'd likely become like her mother. My first wife didn't really like her mother, who was a cold, manipulative middle class English woman. But my ex after 14 yrs began to act just like her mother whom she didn't like. Couldn't see it in herself. Our marriage only lasted 3 yrs past that. Then, having to tell you repeatedly to please turn your child's game down and you ignore the request, goes straight to the manager. If I was him, as soon as she made a dig about me, I would've stood up, and told my partner that I didn't know about them, but I was no longer hungry, and I would've left. Then her 6 year old daughter had to tell her to stop acting like that would've been embarrassing too, plus an upscale restaurant usually isn't going to have a children's menue because they don't make food that children would eat normally. Then to pull out the money and do the old tip trick I would've told her to shove it, and I've done that before too when I was a server. Then to blatantly go over to another person's table and take something from their table?! My Daddy and Momma would've been over at thier table in a heartbeat and my Daddy would've asked the husband if he couldn't control his wife ? My Momma would've taken the mashed potatoes and told her " I think these are ours since we ordered them" and if that lady reached for them my Momma had this look that froze people in their tracks and made them stop whatever they were doing, or she would've pushed that heifer back down into her seat. I would've been there having my parents back, and as soon as the manager said that they could take what they had already ordered, I would've made sure she had a mashed potatoes mask. I can't believe that the girlfriend thought that that was acceptable behavior and not only did she not defend her boyfriend and walk out, but she showed what he was to expect in the future and what type of mother she'd be. I feel sorry for both daughters with this type of parents.
Long story short the mom was a total Karen at the restaurant, to the point where they got kicked out. OPs girlfriend didn't see any issues with how rude her mom was being and defended her actions
I think i remember seeing this somewhere else. The MIL was super entitled and shouting at staff about everything, and the family was totally unfazed, and when OP talked to his gf about it, she saw no issue, so he broke up with her.
Or you don’t like your parents and have minimum interaction with them , so you decide to get married , have the date picked , what sort of wedding you’ré going to have , of course you’ll pay 100 % of the wedding and you bring your fiancé/fiancée home as you are socially obliged to do and just tell them how things are going to be .
My fiancé got the support of his parents and then when he met mine he got their support too. I am about to meet his parents in about a week. His mum is apparently very similar to my mom. Biggest difference is she is creative and my mom is technical. Both my fiancé and I were raised with the same values by our respective mothers.
I met my in laws 1 week after dating. I went to their house everyday and ended up moving in after we graduated for a couple months. Married and pregnant with second baby. I love my in laws. I love them more than some of my own family. I wish everyone has in laws like mine. I strive to be a good MIL when my daughters get married
dude, you did not dodge a bullet but a nuke cus if she sees her mom act like that as nothing wrong, she probably acts like that too good think you want to meet the family😂
Here is just the potatoes because the chicken didn’t get finished in the video. Ingredients: 4 large potatoes Duck fat Dried rosemary Salt and pepper Lemon zest 2 cloves fresh garlic 5 tablespoons olive oil Directions: Peel and slice the potatoes into cubes, then boil until soft. Pour duck fat over a baking sheet and place the potatoes on it. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown. Chop dried rosemary until in very small then mix with lemon zest, salt and pepper, squashed garlic and olive oil. Once you remove the potatoes from the oven, place into the rosemary mixture and stir to coat.
Well if your fiancee cant put up with your parents for a couple hours then its for the best that you broke up because she didnt love you anyway. If she must be treated like a friggin princess and she cant handle a rough spot here and there then you arent worth it to her. Be grateful. The right one is atill out there waiting for you. Long story short the mom was a total Karen at the restaurant, to the point where they got kicked out. OPs girlfriend didn't see any issues with how rude her mom was being and defended her actions
“Do over daughter” is all I needed to hear.
The amount of oil on those taters is crazy 🫣
Makes 'em crunchy!
Makes them gross🤢🤢
Baby
@@gensimonster5274 At least you know what's up
The full story is crazy😂
wish we could get another update on story #2. wish all the best for OP. didn’t deserve any of that trauma
"Do Over Daughter?" Wow. That says t all! 😢
I think i remember seeing this somewhere else. The MIL was super entitled and shouting at staff about everything, and the family was totally unfazed, and when OP talked to his gf about it, she saw no issue, so he broke up with her.
I would have tipped the waiter 100
THE FOOD IN THE BACKROUND🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
Yo a “do over daughter” is crazy! 😂😂
Ngl the potato’s look fire 😊
how do you get that far in a relationship without ever meeting the family before than?
By not living around your family
Different cities- probably too far to schedule easily.
Gorgeous food 🥰😍
Forget about the story: There are more suitable partners out there. Just calm down your heart and forget about the girl.
They are roast potatoes of the ABSOLUTE highest culinary standard!!!😊😊😊😊
You are so lucky this happened before you got married 😮😮😮😮
The end surprised me.
My husband hates his biological parents. So, it was pretty easy. Apparently my father and mother adore the shit out of him.
dude, you did not dodge a bullet but a nuke cus if she sees her mom act like that as nothing wrong, she probably acts like that too good think you want to meet the family😂
I like how no ones talking about how he said at :25 he said cosuins in me
Okay but the food in the background 🤤
😮 YOU ALWAYS MEET THE PARENTS BEFORE THINGS GET SERIOUS
“Just me,in them” sir what 💀💀💀
Wow those potatoes look soooo good
"Just me in them" ayoooo 😳
So it wasn't just me 😭😭😭
He dogged a fucking missile 😂😂
I believe that I see this videos for the images in them, not for the stories themselves.
8pm is not a odd time to take a 6 year old out to dinner
This story, guy dodged a tactical nuke! Seriously shes going to be just as nuts and brazen as her mother. Holy crap
I'm here for the roast potatoes
I need that potato and chicken recipe.
Here is just the potatoes because the chicken didn’t get finished in the video.
Ingredients:
4 large potatoes
Duck fat
Dried rosemary
Salt and pepper
Lemon zest
2 cloves fresh garlic
5 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
Peel and slice the potatoes into cubes, then boil until soft.
@@bean3904 Thank you so much!
Same thing happened to me, except I have a kid with mine
THE HAIR ON HIS FINGER
“Breaks” ❌
“Brakes” ✅
"Brakes"????
You need to learn the difference between brakes & breaks.
Yeah that’s a fun story that had no ending
Everyone ignoring OP being in his parents when the girlfriend came over 😳
Those potatoes looked 🔥
Well if your fiancee cant put up with your parents for a couple hours then its for the best that you broke up because she didnt love you anyway. If she must be treated like a friggin princess and she cant handle a rough spot here and there then you arent worth it to her. Be grateful. The right one is atill out there waiting for you. She wasnt it.
F this unfinished video
DaaaaaAaang imagine that being normal
I remember this from AmITheJerk
Looks to me like you dodged a bullet😂😂😂
The abuse was normal to that daughter. Sad
"Do over kid" I feel this is a big red flag that wasnt looked at! 🤔
If the story doesn't make you nauseous, the greasy potatoes will.
🤣 ok I tried to find glass pots and the ones I got broke 😭 bro where you get yours from please they look so cool
Just me in them 🗿💀🗿💀
I wasn’t listening to the story just the food 🥘
Those potatoes look so good
How can you get engaged and not know the parents for longer than just one meeting?
I would advise you to go no contact with you mom
Ive been married for 8 years. My husband still hasnt met my family cause they suck
Dude you dogded a bazooka 😮
Do over daughter is wrong 💀
Mother saved you
Those potatoes are so oily! You can actually bake potatoes without so much fat and they will be very good still.
Lol that’s crazy, they had a whole 2nd child.
When i met my future husvands family, I knew why i l I ved him. They were wonderful, as opposed to my mother from hell . I didnt even go to mot g ers funeral. Toxic and crazy is just that!!😮😮
Wow just wow
MIL was being a Karen and the girlfriend didn’t see anything wrong with it so he broke up with her
that good looks good
Idk but those potatoes were so overloaded with grease🤢🤢🤢
I don’t really have much of a problem with do over kids, because I am one myself. I don’t think it’s good they didn’t raise the other child correctly, but it’s good their trying again.
Ok now I need to go buy some of that cooking oil and go make me some tatoes like that cos they are fire.
I WANT THOSE POTATOES! I don't know what that dish is but it looks delicious!
Oh geez how embarrassing and ya flipping run cause that's a big scary mess of a family and the waiter test is really the best lets you see how they treat people and how they might end up treating you
Do over daughter? That red flag though! I can see it from orbit
