  • Hyundai just BLEW MY MIND!!
Hyundai just unveiled two concepts that I think will change the way people perceive EVs. The RN22e and specifically the absolute masterpiece that is the N Vision 74 Concept brings Hyundai into a league of their own.
In my opinion, Hyundai is now the most exciting car brand out there because they are bringing back what’s been lacking for so long in the automotive industry - passion for not only performance, but a great passion for car design.

Sadly I think they're just going to use inspiration rather than just building the thing like Tesla would do. People Need to actually build Concepts and stop just using them to get us excited. The 74 is beautiful, even knowing it's based closely on an old-school design, it shouldn't be thought of as an old car, for me I see that as how EVs should look it's more appropriate styling to the technology and futuristic feel. And your 100% right design is based on emotion, if you think about it all your favorite products have a particular emotion tied to them, If you have something emotionless you are most likely to sell it or throw it away.

Hyundai are smashing it at the moment, these N concepts looks immense. Production versions will look significantly toned down though, as with the previous concepts.

What is most amazing is how this 74 came out of nowhere. No spy shots or anything. Having been a fan of what they did with the Pony Heritage redesign. When I saw the profile of the car in the N video I lost my shit. And then to see it was actually BUILT and zooming around. 🤯
The question is... Will they launch something similar to the Heritage Grandeur they rolled out a few months ago too?

When I saw the Vision 74 it instantly reminded me of old Italian designs and now I learned that it was based on a concept car by an Italian designer so I wasn't off lol. That front end with the big diffuser made me remember the Lancia Stradale. I don't know how those lines would translate to a production car because most concept cars get toned way down if they do make it into a production model, but it would be great if something close to that concept made it into production.

Breathing life into a sterile and emotionless time in automotive history. Hyundai today has taken the place of dare I say Lamborghini (sans the new Contach) in beautiful, timeless design. At the very least, Luc Donckerwolke has out done Ferrari in design and should be remembered for this. My humble opinion.
