I made this this week for my family. It was cooked in about 20 minutes though! My very fussy little girl who usually ignores meatloaf, absolutely loved it! AND I made a meatloaf sandwich today with the leftovers ...., You Americans are just ingenious! Amazing recipe. Thanks Louise xxd
I realized today how big of a fan I am of Louise and The Salted Pepper. Lol. As I was watching the intro I realized I have cooked every single meal that was shown.☺️ My favorite that has become a weekly dinner in my house is the “Shepherds Pie” or shall I say Cottage Pie!😄 Meatloaf is a favorite in my house so I will be trying this recipe on Tuesday.😍
That was my first meatloaf I've ever made and it was a hit. I have to admit that since my sons gave me Ninja foodi as my bday gift I've been cooking with your recipes. And every single one turns out to be great. I honestly made whole Thanksgiving dinner with you and everything was delicious. Thank you so much for those recipes with us. I literally love you ❣❣❣
Amazingly good meatloaf tips. I learned how to make this 30+ years ago when I lived in New Jersey. This one I just love though and will be trying your recipe. Thanks so much for another great recipe.
My oven caught fire a few weeks ago and I was going to make meatloaf so I improvised and put it in my round cake pan and it was great!! I made 3 more. Now I'll watch your video! Thanks.
@@TheSaltedPepper thanks Louise. I won't be replacing it soon. It's a Dacor so not easy to save up for that. Maybe they'll come up with an 80 quart Ninja Foodi lol. Stay well and continue being you!!
This was to die for. I used extra lean beef but used extra worschestershire sauce. It was literally like butter. My glaze was a can of tomato soup dressed up with more worschestershire sauce and onion powder
tried your recipe out tonite, wow!! best meatloaf I've ever had, way better over what I've baked in the oven, just changed your glaze to my taste with BBQ sauce, thanks for showing how to do in the Ninja
Thank you so much! I don't have a hard copy cookbook yet, but I do want to create one. They take a lot of time and are pretty expensive to publish, but I'm working on it.
Oh yummy! Meatloaf is one of my favorite main dishes. For a while I've been following your cooking directions for pressure cooking and then air frying a bit. My seasonings change every time depending on my mood, what we have and any requests from the family. I think I'll definitely have to try just an air fry out. I don't think meatloaf is on the menu for this week, but I may just have to override the plans.
I post the link to the recipe that can be printed or saved as a pdf, I think that is easier for everyone. Here is the link: thesaltedpepper.com/air-fryer-meatloaf/
Always love your recipes. Your original cheesy meatloaf is my go to whenever I make meatloaf!!!! Have you had a chance to try the new ninja foodi smart lid with the steam fry lid???
Love love love your recipes and videos that explain so well all the steps!!! I have requested the join the facebook group Simply cooking with Louise but not been approved yet… who can I contact? Thanks!!!
I love the look of that, one thing I’d like to add, I absolutely find the taste of egg white in any meat items disgusting!…I never realised it was the white until a cook on a TV programme I was watching stated that “if you don’t like the taste of egg in your meat mixture, it’ll be the albumen (white) so use two yolks for every one egg” I can’t tell you how happy I was to find that out, I missed a lot of things like meatballs etc.!!
I think this video was filmed before I purchased the new ones, but I still plan on using this model for recipes as well as the newer model. I prefer the 6.5qt over the 8qt when filming because I’m pretty short.
You could steam it and then crisp it from frozen, but you wouldn't want to air crisp from frozen because I think the outside would get too brown and dry before the inside cooked. I haven't done one from frozen, I'll have to try that and update the recipe post.
There were several different readings at different points, when I checked it first it was 157F and when it was all done, it was 181F I think. The target is 165F and even though mine went over that, it wasn't dry at all thankfully!
This is by far! The best meat Loaf I have ever had.
Thank you so much!

Was waiting for this vid to drop. Also, that groove on the top makes it look like a loaf of bread.

Nice glaze idea! I usually use an egg white/ chili sauce meringue on my meat loaf! super tasty! I will try your glaze! TY for sharing!😂
I hope you enjoy it! I bet the chili sauce is delicious, too!
Looking forward to this.

I just went through them yesterday, so if it didn't go through put in another request.
where did you get that cutting board???
Awesome job! I have an older Ninja Foodi, but the fan is really disgusting from use, do you have a good way to clean it?
I use a brush that gets up under there, you can find it on Amazon (it's the same one that I use for my blender) amazon.com/shop/thesaltedpepper
@@TheSaltedPepper Thanks!
Delish!
Thank you!
I am making tonight but only have hickory liquid smoke. Will it be okay
It should be fine as long as you like that flavor. I only use a touch, so if you want a more smoky flavor, I would use more.

Great tip!
Is there a reason you used this model foodi instead of the new models you have?
I think this video was filmed before I purchased the new ones, but I still plan on using this model for recipes as well as the newer model. I prefer the 6.5qt over the 8qt when filming because I’m pretty short.
Can you use ground turkey?
Yes, but you might want to add in more moisture through grated veggies or more liquid.
Can you put it in frozen or would you need to defrost it first?...
You could steam it and then crisp it from frozen, but you wouldn't want to air crisp from frozen because I think the outside would get too brown and dry before the inside cooked. I haven't done one from frozen, I'll have to try that and update the recipe post.
For us non cooks who learning what was the temperature of the probe.

If the meatloaf was done why not add the glaze then broil a few minutes instead of continuing the air fry?
You can absolutely do that.
Can this recipe be done in the ninja foodi grill?
Yes, absolutely! The instructions are in my written post: thesaltedpepper.com/air-fryer-meatloaf/
@@TheSaltedPepper thank you! Love your recipes especially the details and your think ahead questions and answers.
I’m not gonna lie, I thought this was bread and clicked without reading the thumbnail
LOL! You aren't the only one!
Smack it up flip it rub it down
Yeah, cause I have apple wood smoke in my pantry.
